Surfin' the Web

Apologies to any arachnophobes out there, I (Lauren) know that not everyone is a fan of our eight-legged friends, but these Eyelet Outlet Mini Spider Brads are so adorable, it's scary, lol! Which is why I couldn't resist weaving-- or in this case, machine stitching-- a web for them to inhabit on my Halloween card:

I drew some very light pencil marks to make the long straight "anchor" lines of the web, then sat down at the machine and did the curvy connecting lines. The nice thing about spider webs is that you don't need perfectly neat stitching; in fact the messier it is, the more organic your web will look!

If you're not really up for web-weaving, though, this Spider Web Washi is absolutely perfect! I created my oversized sentiment by neatly covering a scrap of white cardstock with lines of tape, then tracing some chipboard letters and cutting them out.

To make the smaller letters I covered a scrap of cardstock with Glitter Black Washi and used alphabet dies. After all my elements were attached to the card, I added those Adorable Arachnids and called it a day.

Too creepy crawly for you? There are lots more Halloween Brads at Eyelet Outlet so there's sure to be something you'll love!

Glittery Pumpkin Home Decor

Hi all, Erin here.  Who does not like a little sparkle for Halloween?!!? Lets glam out with some glittery pumpkins.

I used lots of sequins and glitter and to add that extra pop I added in some Eyelet Outlet Sticky back bling to give it that extra something.  Here is a video tutorial on how to make these fun pumpkins!

Here is some close of pictures of some of the pumpkins.

For this white dot pumpkin I used the white epoxy dots that are all glittery inside, and the gold pumpkin below I used the same enamel dots in gold.  They come in a wide variety of colors so have fun, ideas are endless!

For this pumpkin I used the faceted sticky back gems in a silver.

I've Got My Eyes on You!

Hello everyone!  Happy Fall!  I spent most of the day Thursday putting up my Fall decorations, and then for the rest of the weekend I played with Halloween papers and stamps...I just LOVE these colors!  It has been so much fun!

I had a package of candy eyeballs that were calling out to be used as a ready-made shaker...all I had to do was cut an opening with a die and glue the trimmed package right in.  This shaker actually peeks through an opening in the card front and is attached to the back of the card.

This was so quick to put together, and looks really cute with some Eyelet Outlet coordinating monster-themed products:

Have a great week!  I'll see you again soon!

"We can fix it"

Hello again my Eyelet Outlet friends, Barry, the prince of paper here to show you another very fun box card using Eyelet outlet brads and washi tape.  This box card came from a file in my Silhouette Cameo library and the fun thing about this card was that I shrunk it down before I cut it out so that the tool brads would look proportionally correct.  It is the cutest little thing!

Once cut out it was a matter of adding the glitter dot silver washi tape to the front panel, and to the side flaps just to give is some 'industrial' look and feel.  Then I just added the hammer and the wrench brads from the tool brads set and then finally added the screw brads in each corner of my punch board on the back panel.  Isn't this just about the cutest thing even if I do say so myself!

Thank you for stopping by and if you haven't had a chance to check out the new items in the store I am here to tell you to check them out - so many wonderful new items!  See you next time.

ghouls, ghosts and goblins

Yes, it's the time of year to start having a little Halloween fun ... and what better way to do it than by checking out all of the great new Eyelet Outlet products in the store.

First ... skinny glitter tape ... yes, you read that right ... your favorite glitter washi tape (with absolutely no glittery mess) now comes in sets of three thin colors (and it's currently 40% off ... yep, on sale too).

I combined Silver, Black & Blue for a fun Halloween color palette.

Did you catch those fun eyes on my ghostie ... those are brads too (this card uses the small eyes ... there are bigger ones too).  Think about all the fun things you could add some eyeballs to.

And you can't forgot some fun skull and cross-bone brads ... and of course some new black enamel dots.

Thanks for having a little Halloween fun with me today.

SRSLY? OMG!

I (Lauren) was surprised earlier this year when my retired, and not especially "tech-savvy" mother got her first smart phone. The reason? She wanted to be able to text with her grandchildren! Of course the best part of texting is being able to use all those cuuuuuuuuute emojis, right? Well, good news, now we can use Eyelet Outlet Emotion Brads and Emotion Mini Brads on cards, too!

I made a fun background of text speak using my vintage typewriter, but you could easily stamp or computer-generate something similar. Before I began typing, I lightly traced around the brads and the Heart Enamels I wanted to use, so that I'd be sure to leave enough space, in the right places. It's pretty hard to type right down to the bottom of the page, so I filled in the last few lines with a strip of Tape Measure Washi and a strip of Skinny Hearts Tape.

I can think of sooooooo many fun uses for these... I'm probably going to need more than one pack! :)

Lauren Bergold likes her smartphone... and her emojis... A LOT!
