Flower Bee Card

Hi everyone!!

Noe here to show you a new card and give you some inspiration about beautiful creations you can make with EO goodies!!... They give to your projects other look more funny!

Today, I  sharing a card in "bee colors" made with papers flowers and blings... So easy, really?

I used for my background a piece of yellow glitter cardstock, and over it, I glued flowers papers in differents sizes (I used for it, my Xyron machine). In the center of the flower I placed a round jewel alternating colors (black/white and white/black).  Then, I made a frame with jewel strips, placed my sentiment and finally some butterflies brads.

Here are EO products used in my card:

Eyelet Outlet and EZ Laser Designs

Hi everyone!  It's Deb, here with a scrapbook layout combining Eyelet Outlet embellishments with EZ Laser Designs.

I have over 1000 photos from our trip to Italy!  I was thrilled to find that EZLaser had some laser-cut layouts that would be perfect for showcasing some of my favorites.  This two-page spread is the beginning of a five page span that contains about 40 photos.  The first two photos, on the left hand side in a page design titled Rome, are photos of our chorale in St. Peter's Basilica.  The setting was very elegant and ornate, so I chose to keep my layout rather simple and embellish only with a few strands of pearls placed in the lower left corner.

The space behind the laser-cut design of the Colosseum is backed with some parchment-like scrapbook paper.  One of my souvenirs from the trip is a lovely dip calligraphy pen, so once I've gotten some practice with it I plan to go back and document, in a pale monochromatic ink, the details of our trip.

Unfortunately, we did not get to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa, but I still wanted to use the Italy title and this iconic landmark in my layout.  The photos are from Venice's St. Mark's Square and our gondola ride.  More pearls frame the upper right corner, where there's more room to continue documenting our itinerary, and I'll be sure to mention how disappointed we were to be so close to Pisa (we performed in Lucca) and still not get to see it.

The Italy title was the perfect spot to include the colors of the Italian flag.  The vertical lettering and the contrast of the colors really accentuate the leaning of the tiny Pisa brad

I love how fast and easy the laser-cut designs made putting these two pages together!  I'll be back to show you the remainder in my next post!

"Olive You"

Hello everyone! I was inspired by the Martini and Olive brads from Eyelet Outlet when designing this card. The brads come with 12 Martini glasses and a mix of green and black olives - Perfect - and they are now on sale for just $.99 - even more Perfect! In the description it offers the idea of saying "How about saying 'Olive You' to someone you love?" so I literally took the suggestion to come up with my "Olive You!" card.

Olive You Eyelet Outlet 1.JPG

I used the Clock washi tape for the frame which is also on sale for 50% off! Punched a circle from the small frame, added the green olive (because I really like that touch of red pimento). Then to create the fun border I took the Martini glass brads and placed them at a slight angle, they look a bit 'tipsy' don't they? and then for added fun, took the Pearl strips in gray to outline the bottom of the border and then a bit of twine to tie it all together.

This card is perfect way to say "Olive you" to someone you love! and to share a martini with! Thanks for coming by today and the sale on the Martini brads and clock washi tape is going on right now!

Here Comes the Bride

I love making wedding cakes ... out of paper, flowers & gems

I start by cutting three equal strips of textured paper (for this card, they are 2" tall).  I then round the corners on one side and attach the layers of my cake.

Next comes the fun part ... decorating.

I started by layering three paper flowers (don't you love that the Eyelet Outlet flower sets include multiple coordinating sizes) and adding an adhesive flower jewel to the center.  I like to use 3-D glue dots for a bit more dimension.

Next I performed what I call *swirl surgery*.  I start cutting apart the gorgeous adhesive swirl bling flourishes to decorate my cake.

I finished with another two-layer flower and lots of purple flower jewels.

These paper cakes make such elegant wedding cards and you can customize to match the colors of the wedding.

Remember, you can find Inspiration on our Eyelet Outlet Facebook Page ... and our Design Team Pinterest Board.

Hi (That's All)

You know how it is with mixed media. If you are a perfectionist about how things turn out, it's probably not for you. It's so hit and miss. And you want to control how everything looks, and it just doesn't always work that way.

My sister is visiting me this week, and she really has an eye for it. That, and she just lets "things happen." We made monoprints using our Gelli plates, and I had a rather large stack of "I don't think I like this one." Of course, she took them all and made amazing cards out of them!

One of my dear friends had said to me once, that if you don't like it, make it a different shape, or cut it up into a smaller design. And it worked! I love this fun and crazy card now. So here is my "this was supposed to be feathers" card turned into a cool birthday card!
I used a spray for the background, and then punched balloon shapes out of the monoprint, adding the strings on the card first, and then popping up the balloons with foam tape. My sentiment was then stamped in black in the corner. It still needed some jazzing up, so I added two lines of Clear 4mm Jewel Strips for some fun bling! I love how it turned out!
There are several colors to choose from in the Jewel Strips, so be sure to hop over to the Store and check them out!

New York, New York (So Good They Named it TWICE!)

I (Lauren) live in New Jersey, near a convenient commuter rail line into Manhattan, and spend enough time in the city that you'd think at some point I'd stop being excited about New York themed art supplies... but it hasn't happened yet, lol! Case in point, Eyelet Outlet's New York City Washi Tape, which I've used as the sentiment on this city-centric card:

Can you spot the other EO goodies on this card? Yep, there's an uber-cool Taxi Cab Brad and it's sitting on a strip of Road Washi. Anything else? Howsabout the Cloud WashiGlitter Black and Glitter Silver Tapes?! Because there are soooooo many cool uses for tape, and one of my favorites is to apply it neatly in strips to scraps of cardstock and make my own custom patterned papers! In this case I've used the clouds as a background and the two glitter tapes have been diecut into streets full of buildings. Fun right? And really... except for the "New York" banner this idea works for ANY city...

I realize that not everyone is quite as "maximalist" in design as I am, so here's a more pared down version of the same idea. I've teamed the Taxi Cab Brad and Road Tape again... (well, let's face it, they are perfect together!) ...and added a little bit of Music Note Washi, too.

This time I've stamped the cityscape and used a Heart Brad to visualize one of my all-time favorite sentiments.

Because yes, I do *love* New York! ♥

I love blogging, too, and do so pretty regularly at "...all the good blog names were taken..." stop by and visit sometime, won't you?
