Sunny Days!

Fall is filled with sunshine and and the colors of nature and change.
I created a sunflower using Eyelet Outlet's Paper Flowers.
Bling and Enamel Dots create the center focal point.
The wide washi tape is flanked by strips of thin washi...and the green ties in the composistion.

A Butterfly brad also helps to carry the theme.
What are your favorite fall themes?

I'd love to hear!

Halloween Fun!

Hi everyone! If you celebrate Halloween, now is the time to start planning for the cards you want to give. Today's card shows how quick and easy it is to put together a Halloween card that mixes a little scary with a little whimsical. I personally love using a Small Eye brad on the paper bow on this card. It makes it perfectly clear that the design doesn't take itself very seriously.

I used two skinny glitter washi tapes on either side of the Halloween Washi Tape. I embossed a piece of gold cardstock with a web embossing folder and used a little gilding wax to add some shine. The Mini Spider brads go perfectly on the embossed webs and they blend in nicely with the web and spider sticker. A Ghost Brad and Green Pearl Bling are the finishing touches.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I invite you to visit the store and stock up on your own Halloween stash. Don't forget that all these embellishments work fantastic on treat bags, tags and other Halloween crafts.

Happy Creating Everyone!

Lets Go to the Movies on Your Birthday!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a super fun birthday popcorn machine box card created with my Scan N Cut featuring our Popcorn & Ticket Brads and Red Jewel Bling! If you know me, you know that box cards are my absolute favorite fun fold and these brads and bling were just the 'ticket!' My Scan N Cut lives in a cabinet to keep it from getting dusty, and when I bring it out, I typically cut multiple files which keep me busy assembling for weeks to come. ;)

I cut the box card base from gold cardstock, and all the elements from red, white and silver cardstock with a bit of red patterned paper. I assembled the card and added a stamped sentiment, a Ticket Brad and Red Jewel Bling.

I added an additional sentiment and a Popcorn Brad to the back of the card on the signature panel.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Talk of the Town

Happy Thursday, Eyelet Outlet fans!  I've got a super quick and easy birthday card for you today.  This card practically made itself.

I used one of the cityscapes in the Cricut image library for this project and added some "Happy Birthday" conversation brads from the Saying Bubble Brads set.  The set also includes "Love You," "Hello," and "Thank You."  I also added a couple of the car brads and a summer tree brad to the scene.

This one was quick, easy, and cute, so I think I'll whip up a few more of them to have on hand!

Coffee Bean Balloons??!?!?

Here is a card that's 100% inspired by Sarah Galli Jimenez, who posted two brilliant coffee bean balloon cards in our Eyelet Outlet Fan Group on Facebook and I (Lauren) loved them so much, I had to try to make my own slimline version!

I arranged (but didn't attach) the balloon bouquet of Coffee Bean Brads, mixed with Heart Brads in white and pink, so that I could lightly pencil in the balloon strings and machine stitch over them, before affixing the brads. I stamped and colored Riley and Co's Midge with Coffee (in Ground Espresso Distress Archival, obviously!) and added a Coffee Cup Brad over the mug that's in the original image; the sentiment is from Wendy Vecchi's Birthday Bash Stamp, Stencil and Die set. Finally, I made a super-fun background paper by lining up strips of Eyelet Outlet Donut Tape on plain white cardstock and used it to frame up the panel.

I love this idea so much that now I'm wondering if there are more brads I could make into balloons?! Stay tuned to see what I come up with in future! Meanwhile, thank you, Sarah Galli Jimenez for sharing this wonderful idea with us!

Sky's the Limit!

I love the variety of brads that Eyelet Outlet has to offer.
Esp for those hard to craft for men and boys!
This weekend my neighbor was awarded the Eagle Rank in BSA.
I grabbed a package of Eagle Brads and some red/white/blue and gold washi tape to create this
congratulatory card.

To create the glittery "HAPPY," I laid Gold Glitter Washi Tape onto a piece of card stock.
Then I ran it through with a die to create the word.

Thanks for soaring by today!

Set of Butterfly Notelets

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a pretty set of six 'hello' notelets featuring our oh-so-gorgeous Butterfly & Bird Cage Wide Washi Tape and Butterfly Brads, along with our Copper Foil Washi Tape and Clear Jewel Bling. These were super easy and look so elegant!

I used pre-made 3-1/2" x 5" note cards and envelopes. I covered six small squares with Butterfly & Bird Cage Wide Washi Tape, cut them with a postage stamps die, then layered each one on a slightly larger brown cardstock square. I cut six more squares from light brown cardstock, covered the edges with Copper Foil Washi Tape, and adhered a layered square to each one. I cut six strips from the light brown cardstock, added the copper washi tape, and adhered one strip to each card base. I added a Butterfly Brad to each square and then adhered them to the card bases. I stamped 'hello' in brown ink on each card and added Clear Jewel Bling that I colored with a brown alcohol marker. I left the inside of each blank, as these are notelets.

Halloween Treat Box

Every Halloween I create a special treat for my grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. This year I've decided to make them some darling little skeleton treats that I found on the "Just Add Confetti."  I thought they needed a cute treat box, so here's what I came up with.

This coffin shaped box comes from the Close To My Heart Artiste Cricut image set.  The happy little skeleton on the outside is from the Miss Kate's Cuttables Countdown to Halloween Cricut image set.  The bone themed frame is also a Cricut image, but I swapped out the skeleton head for the same one as the larger skeleton, but Eyelet Outlet has a skull and cross bone brad that would also be perfect!

To keep with the "bone" theme, I added a dog bone from the Eyelet Outlet Kennel Mix brad set.  Eyelet Outlet also has some bone shaped quicklets in the clearance section that would be perfect for this project.

Thanks for stopping in today!  See lots of awesome Halloween themed embellishments at Eyelet Outlet

Summer Vibes

Summer in New Jersey can be pretty hot and very humid, but it's still my (Lauren's) favorite season, and here's a card that celebrates some of my favorite summer treats, in Eyelet Outlet Brad form!

I used a favorite set of bold alphabet stencils and six sizzling shades of Distress Ink (Worn Lipstick, Mermaid Lagoon, Spiced Marmalade, Tumbled Glass, Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron to be precise) to write the word, "Summer" across my slimline-sized panel. I matted the whole thing on a piece of white cardstock covered in strips of Color Wheel Washi, then added a nice selection of brads, including: Beach UmbrellaFlip Flop BradsMini LadybugCocktail BradsMini EmotionTall PalmSandcastleFlamingoColored Daisy BradsMini BeesIce CreamSun and Pastel Sunglass Brads. I hope whatever your favorite Summer Vibes might be, that you'll enjoy a few of them today!

would not mind an ice cream
cone right now!

What's the Scoop?

What's your favorite summer treat? For me, it's an ice cream cone. This one is decorated with a Sunglass brad and a Cherry brad. As accents I added Ice Cream brads. It looks super yummy doesn't it?

I made the pastel background with chalk paint and used Zig Zag Washi Tape - Pink and Purple as a border. I stamped the sentiment and used a scissor to hand cut the speech bubble.

I enjoyed making this simple but cute card using Eyelet Outlet brads and washi tape. The only bad thing is that now I'm hungry!

Happy Creating Everyone!

Unicorn and Rainbow Inspiration!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a sweet inspirational card featuring our Unicorn & Rainbow Brads, Striped Washi Tape and Clear Jewel Bling! I sure do love me some bright rainbow colors, and this was definitely a fun one! This washi tape sure makes a striking background! ;)

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from white cardstock along with a layering panel that I covered with Striped Washi Tape and narrow strips of white cardstock, and adhered to the card base. I cut stitched scallop rectangles from white and dark purple cardstock and layered them together. I stamped the unicorn sentiment in pink ink, added Unicorn & Rainbow Brads along with Clear Jewel Bling, and adhered the piece to the background.

I cut the inside panel from white cardstock and embellished it with strips of Striped Washi Tape, dark purple and white cardstock, then stamped the sentiment in pink ink and layered the panel on the dark purple cardstock.

Autum Blessings Shaker Card

I really like making shaker cards and especially like adding Eyelet Outlet brads to the mix!  Today I've created a window scene and have an Eyelet Outlet rake brad leaned against the tree.

I've used Eyelet Outlet round sequins in orange, yellow and copper to simulate the leaves falling from the tree.  Below the window I added an Eyelet Outlet leaf brad near the sentiment.

We'd love to see how you've used Eyelet Outlet sequins in your projects!  Pay us a visit on our Eyelet Outlet Fans Facebook Group and show us your creativity!

Let's Make Tape Squares

I (Lauren) never get tired of playing with my Eyelet Outlet Washi collection, I'm always excited to come up with new ideas. This birthday card has background made entirely of Chevron Tape strips, which is so fun and colorful that it only needed a few brads... (a Party Hat, a Birthday Sock Monkey and a Birthday Cake, to be precise) ...plus some EO Sequins to finish it off!

Here's how I made that quilt-like background; note that I switched to Pencil Tape for the second sample. I neatly applied strips of tape to plain white cardstock, cut them apart with my guillotine trimmer, then cut the lengths so they were all exactly the same size, in this case, about 3". I affixed them to another piece of plain cardstock, starting at the center and working outward, as you can see in the photos below.

To answer the obvious question: Yes, you could apply strips of tape directly to your background and skip the step of backing them with cardstock; but I found it hard to get the cuts on the short ends absolutely straight, and also it was more challenging to line them up precisely.

When all the strips were applied to the background, I trimmed up the ends and matted the whole panel on some red cardstock, added a Paper Flower stack and a Heart Brad and called it good to go!

Now I want to try this with ALL of my EO Tapes, including the wide ones, the skinny ones and the glitter ones!

loooooooves washi tape!

Float My Boat!

Hope you had fun at the Stampaway USA trade show last weekend.
Who picked up the new Boat & Lighthouse brad set?

If you are going to the next trade show in Schaumburg, IL
(August 20-21, 2021), be sure to stock up on our Foil Washi tape.
I love how it adds texture and glitz without bulk.

Plus, I used it to create the focal point oval shape.
Simply lay the washi tape down on a piece of cardstock. Then use a punch (or die) to cut out your desired shape.

Anyone spy, with their little eye, another Eyelet Outlet brad?
(Hint: twinkle, twinkle!)

Enjoy your day today!

Rainy Day Cheer!

Don't let a rainy day get you down! Turn it around by using our blue Tear Drop Bling and our new pastel Dragonfly Brad Set in your rainy day card making.

This card was created by water coloring a rain scene colorfully and putting it behind a window pane die cut. Clouds were stenciled on with Distress Oxide inks. Before I framed the main panel, I placed three of the new dragonflies on the front. I placed many blue teardrop gems on the front and also behind the window pain on the umbrella scene. Did you know the tear drop bling comes in clear, blue and pearl? So many options in the pretty tear drop shape! I love how a few touches from Eyelet Outlet can amp up a scene and make it really special.

Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget to take a trip over to the store. There's always lots of good discounts to be found and Tony will make sure your shipment gets sent right away so you don't have to miss a beat in your card or scrapbooking projects.

Happy Creating Everyone!

A fun thank you for that Jack of all trades!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a fun thank you card for that guy (or gal) who just seems to be a jack of all trades and can fix or do anything! Gotta love the matching stamps, brads and washi tape! My dad was a jack of all trades type and it's such a blessing to have someone in our lives nowadays with those same capabilities!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base and a strip from white cardstock along with a layering panel from black cardstock. I covered the strip of white cardstock with Playing Card Washi Tape. Using the Playing Card Clear Stamps, I stamped the sentiment on a white cardstock scrap, cut it with a stitched circle die, and layered it on a slightly larger red cardstock stitched circle die cut. I adhered the strip to the black cardstock panel and then adhered the circular element. I affixed one Playing Card Brad to the center of the circular element, three more Playing Card Brads across the top of the black cardstock panel, and adhered the panel to the card base. The finishing touch was adding Red Jewel Bling

I embellished the inside panel with strips of Playing Card Washi Tape and black cardstock, stamped the sentiment in black ink, and layered the panel on red cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!
