You're a CROCSTAR!

 The little shoe charms folks are wearing these days remind me of brads, so an idea for a card was born!

On this one, I used Eyelet Outlet star brads for the shoe charms and some star washi tape in the corners and a few strips of skinny glitter washi tape as well.  I added an enamel star to the swirl beneath my sentiment.  

Trust me, whatever your Croc loving friends are in to, we've got a brad for that, so the sky's the limit on this card idea!  We've got fairies, horses, donuts, cars, cats....you name it!  

On this one I used some of our lovely round jeweled brads for the charms and added some of our glitter rainbow washi tape, skinny glitter washi tape and swirl bling.

 Here's a fun, fresh and fruity card featuring our brand new Eyelet Outlet Lemonade and Fruit Brads. On this card, the lemonade pitcher is cleverly standing in as fruit punch, to make the pun in the sentiment work.

Celebrate Independence!

Do you have a fun celebratory BBQ or patriotic event to attend in celebration of  July 4th? Here is a fun tag you can easily create to add to your hostess gift!

I loved stamping various patriotic stamps in blues and reds to create my tag! Adding the red, white, and blue stripe washi on top and bottom of my tag gave a border to the top and bottom. Lastly, I enjoyed embellishing with the "Uncle Sam" hat and USA flag and star brads to finish it off!

You're No Kid

 Had a bit of fun with this birthday card and these goat brads
 from Eyelet Outlet.  The best part they have a stamp set
 that goes with this -- so all the stamping was also from Eyelet Outlet.

The center was popped up with a little foam to help add
 dimension to the card. The die cuts were perfect for this card as were the

 spring pastel brads I used in the corners.

I also added some thin silver glitter washi tape to break up a
 little bit of the plaid paper. 
Finally I added a bow and includes a green enamel dot in the center.

Drive-In Theater - Baby You Can Drive My Car

Are you nostalgic about drive-in movie theaters like I am? I am a child of the 80s and movie drive-ins were still alive and well, barely, when I was a teenager. I sure had fun going to many late night movies and staying for the dusk to dawn movie run. Usually there were three movies but I can’t say I made it to the third too often although I tried! 

Today I’m celebrating that by-gone experience with a pre-printed card from my computer. I printed the image twice and cut out extra pieces of the car and sign and layered them up with foam tape to give it a handmade and dimensional touch. I have used many Eyelet Outlet products to decorate my card which celebrates all things to do with drive-in movie theaters and the cars we turned into the best seats in the house!

Hopefully, you recognize the song title in my card. Since it is a song, I needed to add some Music Note Brads. I also use the brand new Driving Brads. The steering wheel shape is a lot of fun. I couldn’t resist also using the Palm Tree Brads to accentuate the setting sun. The movie sign was decorated with EO Popcorn Ticket Brads, and Movie Brads.

You Make Me Happy

Happy Saturday Everyone!! I was feeling quite adventurous this week, so I decided to try a new card making technique for this week’s project.  This 6x6” front folding card was made by strategically cutting strips of cardstock and layering them to make a beautiful background.  And, the best part, I love how it turned out!  Not only do the 3-D pieces add dimension, but the serene color palate calms me and the inspirational sayings on each of the four tags make me smile…because YOU MAKE ME HAPPY.

 The gorgeous rhinestone and pearl bling on the top and bottom of the card is called Fancy Long Bling – Pearls and Jewels from Eyelet Outlet, of course! My go-to for all things embellishment!! These add just the perfect amount of sparkle and sophistication the card needed.

Each one of the four inspirational tags have a different colored eyelet from the Brown Eyelet Mix punched into it to hold a ribbon along with Matte Pink Enamel Dots and White Pearl Bling in multiple sizes.

 To finish the card off and keep with the serene theme, I decided to use a one-word embellishment which I cut into a flag end.

This is definitely one of my favorites so far! What do you think???

Popping By to Say Hello

Good Thursday morning crafters! Today I'm "popping by" with a little shaker card embellished with a couple of Eyelet Outlet popcorn brads!  

Eyelet Outlet carries some of the best sequins I've seen anywhere.  There's lots of different shapes and colors to choose from.  Today I'm simulating popcorn with the yellow and white round sequins.  I've also nestled one of our little bluebird brads into the shrubbery.  I'm sure he's hoping for a piece of popcorn to fall his direction!

We want to wish you a Happy Birthday!!

 When I saw the adorable vinyl record brads, I knew I want to do a fun, girly, vintage inspired birthday tag! I loved playing on the pinks and golds with adding the sparkly light brown glitter washi tape and pearl bling jewel stickers. I added an array of ribbon and think this would be a fun tag to add to a birthday present for a sweet girlfriend!

Shell Time

 

 Summer is my favorite season even though it is blazing hot here in the 

South. But we are close to the shore and we love to go hunt shells.

I could not wait to color this image from Simon Says and 

get to some fun embellishing From the Eyelet Outlet

The shell brads from Eyelet Outlet are fantastic and so realistic. In addition,
I added some gold glitter enamel dots to go with this color scheme. Finally I added
skinny glitter washi in gold to highlight the corners.

I love to make summer and sea related cards so you will be seeing

 Bloom with Happiness

Happy Saturday!! I woke up this morning feeling “blingy”. Have you ever felt that?  You know, that feeling where you just needed to put bling on everything? Well, my 6x6” Bloom with Happiness card are my blingy feelings on paper. 

I created the mandala flower using the Stamplistic large and small Lotus stamps. I fussy cut each layer and stacked them upon each other to create a 3-D effect. The colorful petals are made by using the Color Wheel Washi tape outlined in black.

 Each petal is adorned with some sparkly bling of course from Eyelet Outlet! I used the multi size Jewel Bling in green and blue and purple Glitter Enamel dots. The very center of the mandala features a 14mm black Pearl Brad.

 To tie the Color Wheel washi tape back in, I used it as a border surrounding a teal blue 5.5x5.5” paper background.

To complete the card off, I stamped and heat embossed a sweet sentiment that would bring a smile to anyone’s face.

The Sweetest Day

Have you seen the new brads at Eyelet Outlet?  I'm fond of all of them, but the refreshing lemonade and fruit set is probably my new fav!  

Today I have a sweet center step card featuring the pitcher of lemonade from the set as well as some of lovely rose brads, and a pink enamel heart.

I created this card in Cricut Design Space from images included in Cricut Access and if you're also a Cricut crafter and would like to make this card, too, I've shared the file on my Cricut profile.

It's a Soda, Pop!

What could be more appropriate for Father's Day than an absolutely diabolical "Dad Joke"?! Especially one created specifically to show off our brand new, super-fun Eyelet Outlet Cooler and Soda Brads! The first part of the sentiment is computer generated (this free font is called Modern Typewriter) and the second part is diecut, then adorned with brads. A mat of Multicolored Dot Tape and some white Round Sequins emphasize the bubbly aspect of carbonation, and finish off the design.

To a "tool-riffic" Dad!

Father's Day is just around the corner! Here is a fun card for you to create!

I started with a standard size card, stamping and coloring the bottom trim and using the black glitter washi and tape measure washi to create the background. I stamped, colored, and fussy cut various tools to add dimension. I stamped my sentiment and added the tool brad embellishments.

For the inside I added a few "tool" sayings and created a border along the bottom using the tape measure washi and more stamped, colored, and fussy cut tools! I also added a black enamel dot for a nail head. As in, "you nailed it!" I hope you enjoy!

Just for Dad

 

My husband is an avid golfer so for fathers day this year I chose 
a golf scene. The image of the golf cart is surrounded by golf shoe brads and palm
tree brads available at Eyelet Outlet and perfect to use for this card. I also 
used some spring brads for the tire centers.

The botton of the card includes some chevon washi tape from Eyelet Outlet
as well as the golf bag to provide some added color.
I dabbed in the clouds with distress oxide
inks to help fill the sky and add to composition of the scene.

I hope you enjoy this father's day card and I will see you again next Monday
with a seashore scene.

🎤 This adorable creation just makes me want to sing! 🎤

Have you ever needed the perfect cardstock for your project but couldn’t find what you wanted?

Well, that’s exactly what happened to me when I started to create this.  I knew I wanted the highlight to be pastel macarons, but didn’t have any cardstock that fit what I wanted. So, with the help of Eyelet Outlet, I created EXACTLY what I wanted using the Macaron washi tape.  The flexibility using this washi tape allowed me to accent the exact colors I wanted. It turned out beyond what I was hoping for!! 

After creating the perfect macaron “cardstock”, I was able to continue bringing my balloon to life. The Macaron Balloon is bejeweled with eight light green 4mm jewels around the top bunting, eight green 8mm cut jewels around the bunting in the middle, and 12 light green 4mm jewels around the basket.

And what’s a balloon ride without a sip or two of wine? If you look closely in the basket, you will see a bottle of white wine from the Mixed Wine Bottle Eyelets sitting on a cute, little table. Cheers!

You can let your imagination SOAR when you use washi tape to create patterned cardstock.  The SKY'S the limit!

WHEELY Happy Birthday!

Ok - Pun Alert!  I think you're WHEELY gonna love Eyelet Outlet's new Driving Brads!  For this card I used some awesome digital paper from The Digi Rainbow's Etsy shop called "Beep Beep."  The little cars on these papers paired so perfectly with Eyelet Outlet's car brads and the wheel patterned paper from the set really told the story and complemented our new tire brad from the Driving Brads set.  

 I used a tire tread from the Cricut image library on the sentiment and what car themed card would be complete without a strip of Eyelet Outlet's Road Washi Tape which tied my two digital papers together.

 Belated birthday cards are something we all need now and again, but that doesn't mean they can't be colorful and fun! This sentiment, "2, 4, 6, 8... Congratulations to the Bride & Groom!

 Wedding season is upon us! Do you need a congratulatory card to give to the happy couple? I hope this idea inspires you!

I started with a 6x6 kraft card stock base and created a "road" using the black glitter washi tape! I stamped and fussy cut my car adding foam tape to elevate the getaway car and the "best day" tag. I added the adorable soda cans from the new collection called drink cooler brads with twine for extra fun! And the round jewel brads in white made for great, sparkly headlights. Lastly for my sentiment banner, I embossed "Congratulations" in silver and added the wedding bells in silver and gold!
