Gratitude Recorded

Do you keep a November Gratitude Journal? For the last couple of years, I have participated in writing daily gratitude using a traveler's notebook. This year, I decided to do rolodex cards!

I started with creating a rolodex template and began adding my stamps. I added the year, month, and my "focus" on the first rolodex card. For the second card, I used a lined stamp to create my background and lines for journaling.

Lastly, I embellished with Eyelet Outlet's beautiful Autumn themed washi tapes and brads! The possibilities are endless! I hope you are inspired to create a way to cultivate and record your daily gratitude this November.

I hope you enjoy! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for your crafting needs!

Fall Camping

Today I made a card with a camp yard scene. I love the Eyelet Outlet
camping brads with the tents and fire. It looks cute but I am
not a camping girl by any means and would most likely be
in the closest hotel..

I also added tree brads to make it more realistic. What really makes
the scene so realistic is the mountain washi tape I added from
Eyelet Outlet. Although it is wide I put down two strips so the page
looked full and complete. Finally, I attached two of the
squirrel brads that are brand new to the Eyelet Outlet
collection along with some glitter washi tape
at the corners of the card.

Happy Birthday Bookshelves

Hello Ai fans! I'm here today with a fun indoor scene featuring the new Book Washi Tape now at the store. For a long time, EO has carried a popular and loved Book Washi Tape. Recently a second design was added and I've used it here on these die cut shelves. This is also called Book Washi Tape but it is a bit more whimsical. It has little paper airplanes floating along the top of the books. You can see the two washi tape patterns below in greater detail.

Original Book Washi Tape
Newest Book Washi Tape

The shelves and plants were made with dies in my stash. I decorated them with several brads. On the top shelf I added a Feline Brad and Book Brad. On the second shelf I included a Book Brad and Fan Brad. On the floor I included a cute Resin Mouse with a Happy Birthday Bubble Brad. Next to the mouse is a Puppy Brad. The floor and ceiling were made with Wood Washi Tape.

Here's a complete shopping list for this card:
Book Washi Tape (original design not used on card)

This was a fun card to make and very easy to create a bookshelf theme. What you put on your shelves is only limited by your imagination!

I hope you enjoyed my card and I thank you for stopping by today. Please visit the store for all your brads, washi tape, bling and paper flowers!

Haunted House Hallow

Do you like haunted houses? I most definitely DO NOT. The only ones that I can handle are the ones I build with paper…lol. I know what it is lurking behind every corner. And in this week’s creation, there are plenty of scary surprises hiding all over.

This spectacular feat of a creation took me over two days to complete. Between the cutting of the hundreds of pieces, the embossing and inking of the pieces and the actual assembly, this haunted house was the most labor and time intensive piece I’ve ever created, and I am pretty thrilled on how it turned out.

Being approximately 8” deep and 10” tall, I knew Eyelet Outlet and I were going to have some fun
accessorizing. It’s like earrings, you never leave your haunted house unaccessorized.  πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

After I assembled it, I added spiderwebs all over made from Q-Tips. Some of the webs even have spooky spiders waiting for a moth to unexpectedly get trapped. There is even a spider coming down from the roof to check on her egg sack.

One the very top in the wrought iron dΓ©cor, is a ghost peeking over to see who dares to enter.

Looking to the left, two spooky eyeballs are glaring out. I would hate to see who, or what, those eyes
belong to.

Those aren’t the only eyes protecting the house. There are six other sets of red Bling eyes.
Can you find them all?

Looking at the base of the house, you will see a layer of aged bricks from Bricks Washi Tape.

If you dare to approach the front door, two blood red Bling jewels help coax, I mean, guide you in.

Once you are walking up the stairs, make sure you look down to the right. It looks like the house may
have landed on a wicked witch!!! I don’t think we are in Kansas anymore!

The wrap around porch has a handmade paper rocker and another blood red Bling doorknob.

If you do dare to visit the haunted house, make sure you do it during the day because at night is a
WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY!

Several LED tealight candles light up the windows and look who is peacefully sitting in her rocker…. it’s MOTHER! I advise staying out of that room for sure!

This is enough scary for me. I will stick with the candy parts of Halloween! Hope you enjoyed this one!
Happy Halloween everyone and save your Kit Kats for MEEEEE! 😁😁

Happy Holidays

If you stopped by last Thursday you saw the Rum Cake recipe scrapbook page I shared with you that was loaded with lovely holiday and cooking themed products from Eyelet Outlet.  I was so pleased with how that page turned out, I decided to create a holiday card that was similar.

I cut the sentiment and flourishes with my Cricut out of gold foil iron-on.  If you haven't tried HTV on cardstock, you're missing out!  I apply it with my Cricut Easy Press at set at 270 degrees for 30 seconds and it works beautifully!  In each corner I added an Eyelet Outlet peppermint candy brad along with a few snowflake brads and this card was complete in no time!

Thanks for stopping in today!  Just an FYI....It's just sixty days until Christmas!

Llama Birthday Wishes!

I thought this Llama was so adorable and would pair perfectly with the NEW Pinata Brad set!

I added my diecut Llama to colorful, striped patterned paper then stamped my curly hangers to add the pinatas! I did add foam tape behind 2 pinatas for extra pop! I embellished with colorful enamel dots, bling, and pearls, along with the new pinata brads!

To create a fun and colorful inside of my birthday card, I added more hanging pinatas, light purple washi tape, and the pink pearl strip! I think this would be a delightful birthday greeting card!

Haunting

Halloween is just around the corner and Eyelet Outlet has adorable
items to help make your Halloween cards shine. This card used
images from Tim Holtz - colored with Copic markers.
I added the Eyelet Outlet Halloween washi tape on the top
and bottom of the card.

Then came the fun brads from Eyelet Outlet. The sentiment was
attached with the screw brad (and they do look like
real screws). The bats came next and I think
they were a great addition to fill this card
with spooky items.

Candy Corn Delight

I can hardly believe that Halloween weekend is next week! Time does indeed fly doesn't it? Guess what else flies? Well, a witch of course and it happens to be the theme of my card for you today.

I used several Halloween washi tapes and brads to make a fun gate fold card. To begin, I cut the candy corn shapes out of colored cardstock on my Cricut machine. This is an easy shape and you could also easily sketch the candy corn shape and cut the pieces out. I used yellow and orange cardstock for the bottom layers. The washi tape I chose has a white background but the yellow and orange cardstock colors peak through the background of the washi tape. This allows me to get the traditional color scheme for candy corn.

I used three washi tapes for the side panels. On the left is Skull Washi Tape and Boo Washi Tape. On the right I used a single strip of Wide Wood Washi Tape. The bottom layer of the candy corn is Gnome Fall Washi Tape. The middle layer is Hat and Broom Washi Tape. The top is Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape

I used many brads on the right panel. They include the Vacuum and Broom Brads, Bat Brads, Witch Hat Brads and Witch Leg Brads. This wouldn't be my card if I didn't add some bling so the final touch are Orange Pearl Bling from the multi pack. The entire list of products are below.

Halloween Shakers

There is finally a chill in the air which means only one thing...HALLOWEEN IS COMING!!
It is one of my absolute favorite holidays. You are SUPPOSED to eat candy!!! YESSSSS Please!
In honor of the upcoming scrumptious holiday, I decided to make a Halloween Shaker card!  I love making shaker cards and this one has a little Stacy-tude added.

I created the base by blending purple, orange and lime green inks to give it a fun feel. I created three separate shakers on this card – the candy corn, the bat and the witch’s hat. Inside each shaker are little, tiny bats, ghosts and BOOs.

BUT the coolest part of the shakers is when you turn off the lights! They GLOW IN THE DARK!

I knew Eyelet Outlet would have the most perfect embellishments to make this card perfect.  I added several Spooky Eye Brads, a few Pumpkin Brads,  and a Jewel Brad on the which’s hat.
To make the edges pop, I added Black Pearl Bling and Orange Jewel Bling.

This was a fun and easy card to make, and I love how the extra details I added from EO really brings this card to the next level.

Have a wonderful week and always be STRATE-UP CRAFTY!

Recipe Scrapbooking

My journey with Eyelet Outlet began when I was introduced to recipe scrapbooking back in 2009.  I discovered their amazing selection of cooking/food related brads and I was hooked!  Over the years I turned to card making as my predominate craft, but now and then I take some time to return to my first love-recipe scrapping.

This week I decided to make a page for a holiday favorite in my family.  It wouldn't be Christmastime at my house without one of these rum cakes!

I'm so happy to have replaced my tattered 1977 recipe card with this fancy page in my recipe scrapbook!  I used the wooden spoon, mixer, measuring cup, and saucepan brads on the recipe. All of these and many more all found in the Food, Drink, & Cooking Brads tab at Eyelet Outlet.

I also added some beautiful Eyelet Outlet bling and gems, candy brads and holly brads and I'm so thrilled with how fancy this page turned out!

Thanks for stopping in today! I hope I've inspired you to scrapbook some of your family's favorite receipes!

Too Cute to be Spooky

These sweet witches in their spooky scene are already pretty cute, but they're exponentially more adorable when Eyelet Outlet Halloween Brads join the fun. The addition of a Witch Hat, a handsome Bat Brad, a mischievous Kitten checking out a Pumpkin, a cute but creepy Spider and some pink Rose and Colored Daisy Brads make the illustration come to life; then a double mat of Glitter Black Tape and Halloween Dot Washi tie it all together.

Stay tuned to the Eyelet Outlet Blog for more Halloween and Thanksgiving projects to make your Autumn Crafting FALL into place!

Trick or Treat!

Do you create goodies for trick-or-treaters?

Here is a fun card idea to try! I started with a standard size card, then created a diagonal pocket using the glitter washi tapes and the fun monster washi! I stamped the plain triangular part with candies and colored in with colored pencils.

I added a sentiment banner and embellished with the colorful, fun, and "scary" monster brads!  You could slip in a gift card or chocolate bar, a treat that both the young and old "trick-or-treaters" would surely enjoy! Happy Halloween!

Day of the Dead with Sugar Skulls

Hello EO fans! Today I'm sharing a Day of the Dead card. Yes, I've succumbed to all the sugar skull madness. But who wouldn't? Especially when there are such great embellishments to work with like the new Sugar Skull Brads from Eyelet Outlet. I used five of them on a patterned cardstock that I embossed and highlighted with pink, blue and white ink. It doesn't show well in the picture but its very dimensional. I also added Rose Brads. They go so perfectly with the Sugar Skulls. Finally I used several colors and sizes of jewel bling on the background to add just the right amount of bling.
