Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Eyelet Outlet fans! Today we have a few more Halloween projects to share with you today. First some fun cards from design team member Taylor.

I have two fun Halloween cards to share today!  The first, above, is a little more "vintage", and the great spider brads provide just the right amount of creepy fun.

The second card is a bit more fun.  It's hard to tell in the picture, but the ghost is wearing a fun witch's hat, and I added a couple of yummy mini candy corn brads, too!

Thanks so much for stopping by today to see what I've been up to with the pretties available at Eyelet Outlet!  Be sure to stop by my blog and my Facebook page for more inspiration!

Next Shemaine is sharing some Spooktacular cards featuring the Spooky House brads.

Next we have a cute treat box idea from Jingle

And finally this adorable card that Susie Moore created for her grandson

Happy Halloween from all of us at Eyelet Outlet!

Design Team Monday

Hi everyone!  It's Taylor here to share a couple of holiday cards that use lovelies not necessarily intended for the holidays!  First up is the fun card above, which is accented by two fabulous stippled brads (in red).  This card uses the silver-edged ones, but they come in gold-edged too!  And if you lok closely, you'll see that I added a little bit of red jewel bling to his hat as well!

My second card is all about CAS with a big impact, and the fantastic new bling strips are really perfect for this!  They make it so easy to jazz up a quick card! And I think the red (for warmth) pairs perfectly with the crystal (for cold) bling!

Thanks so much for stopping by today to see what I've been up to with the pretties available at Eyelet Outlet!  Be sure to stop by my blog and my Facebook page for more inspiration!

Halloween Inspiration Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! Today we're featuring two takes on halloween inspired tags for you. First up is designer Susie Moore.

Does this ribbon and brad collection just make you giggle?  The more I layered it, the more it made me laugh.  I just love it! I started out with just a plain tag cut from a Sizzix die and added some cute paper.

Then I gathered up some ribbon and stapled it to the bottom.  Then came the layering fun.  Four strips of ribbon and each one has a fun matching brad.

Here is a close up: The number of monsters got me thinking about counting.  Thus the sentiment. It all just came together and it makes me smile.  I hope it does you too. You can see more of my work at The Dies Have It.  I would love to see you there.

Oh - and HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Susie

Now it's time for Anna and she is sharing vintage Halloween inspiration for her tags.

Hi, Anna here!
I made two small Halloween gift tags,
using "bootiful" Eyelet Outlet brads
and funny black Monster Ribbon.

Spooky House Brads...

Have a nice day,
Anna

Halloween inspiration Wednesdays!

Happy Halloween!!!! Every Wednesday from today leading up to Halloween the team is sharing some fun inspiration with our Halloween themed brads!

It is Nicole here and I want to share with you a Halloween banner that I made for the outside of the house.  Now this banner ended up being rather large but really it could be made any size or divided into two banners to hang one on top of the other.  I used A LOT of brads and eyelets that you can find in the store.

The flags on the banner are made from burlap and then I sewed pattern paper to them and then decorated them with cute ghosts, pumpkins bats, flowers and fun rub ons.  The letters are also burlap flags but without the paper and I hand drew all the letters and then painted over the pencil lines.

Here are some closer up pictures of the banner...

Here are close ups of each the flags where I used the brads... oh I think some of them are just soooo cute! Click on the links below to find the brads in the online store.

For the cute ghost I used the small eye brads, black small eyelet and peppermint candy brads.  I wrapped the peppermint brads with a piece of scrap plastic and then twisted the ends to make it them look like real yummy candies.

For the cute little bat I used the small eye brads and pumpkin brads

For the pumpkin I sewed with orange thread the stripes on the pumpkin I used green planting wire and curled it around a paint brush. I made a round flower out of black fabric and spider web fabric that I held together with one of the new jewel strippled brads in silver   I made it look like a little spider brad was hanging from the web.

For the letter flags I used the new jewel stippled brads in  orange.

For this bat I used the little witch hat, the small eyes, and a pink woman's eye glass brads.

This is one of my favorite flags... I used a bone from the dog mix brads, small black eyelet for the mouth, small eyes and a black woman's eye glass brad.

For this pumpkin I used two new release  jewel brads.  The amber is 12mm is and the green is 10mm.

This ghost is wearing a witch hat brad and carrying a pumpkin brad in his hand.  once again I used the small eye brads and a small black eyelet for the mouth.

I made another cute bat and this time he is flying over the adorable spooky house brads and house brads.  Yes the three houses came from two different packages of house brads.  Once again on the bat I used small eye brads.

Hope you enjoyed my Halloween project... it was a lot of fun to make and even more fun to get to share it with you!  Have a safe and spooktacular Halloween!

Design Team Monday

Happy Monday! It's almost time for Halloween - and all those cute little ones showing up at your door asking for candy!
So I thought I would focus my efforts on showing you some spooky cards and a 3D project too. So here is my first card.  I used Spooky House Brads on either side of my skull and crossbones chipboard element.  I like the way they shine on a card where everything else has a matte finish.

Here is a close up picture of these elements:

Now on to my 3D project.  It is a round tin cut from a Silhouette Studio file.  I used Small Eye Brads  on my bat image and those brads just made it at least 100% cuter!

Here is a close up and a peek at the tin too:

Finally, after making the tin, I knew I wanted to use the same circular bat file on a card.  So I cut another one and made him even more spooky by adding gunmetal Stickles to his body and wings.  I used the same Small Eye Brads again because I just couldn't resist the cuteness factor.

Here he is one more time for his close up:

Thanks for taking a look at my creations for Eyelet Outlet today.  I would love for you to see more of my work at my blog, The Dies Have It.

Design Team Wednesday

Hello it is Nicole sharing my project with you from cold crisp Norway!

I am originally  from California and  we do have a fall of sorts there but it is nothing like the beautiful fall we have here.  The colors are amazing! I  have taken all kinds of pictures to send to my Grandma so I wanted to make the perfect card to send them in.  Here it is and I do think it is perfect  I used the  newly released leaf brads which you can find  here http://www.eyeletoutlet.com/leaf-brads.html

I am really excited to share my next projext with you!  I had this little package of mini cards that I got from Target for a dollar ast time I was home in California... They were perfect for just adding a brad or punch shape to to dress them in just seconds.  I loved the size because they were great to throw into packages or anywhere you just need a quick note.  Well I used the last one the other day and I was so disappointed... But then a thought crossed my mind... wait I have bags of paper scraps and I have lots of packages of brads where I only have one brad left and I bet I could just make me some new cards.  In no time at all I had 12 mini cards in all kinds of shapes made from scraps and leftovers... It felt so good to use some of my scraps that I have been collecting for way too long.  I have no idea why I didnt think of this before! All the brads I used can be found in the Eyelet Outlet online shop!

Thanks for stopping by and have great day!!!!!
