What's Cooking

This card was inspired by Eyelet Outlet's stamp set called
Cooking Stamp Set. It comes with the oven, different sentiments,
gloves and other kitchen-related items.

I started by stamping the oven, mitts and sentiment. These were
colored with Copic Markers. I added the muffin tin brads
and the cooking spoon brads along the side. Of course, I had to
add some bling from Eyelet Outlet that I even used for the knobs
on the oven.

Enjoy Your Day!

Hello everyone! I always enjoy decorating clothing items with Eyelet Outlet brads and bling. It often is just the right size for various clothing dies. Whether it's an apron, t-shirt, or sweatshirt, brads like the PiƱata look great on them.

I made this card by cutting out a stitched scalloped rectangle. Then I cut a window and cut a smaller navy rectangle from a nested set. The green polka dot frame is actually Green Dot Washi Tape. I placed the tape so that it would border the two rectangles. I then went about making the sweatshirt. I covered a piece of white cardstock with Pink Checked Washi Tape. I cut it out with the die and pieced it together. I added a Pinata Brad and two pieces of red sticky back Heart Pearls. I mounted the sweatshirt on the card with foam tape. I stamped ENJOY and heat embossed it. A Heart Brad was placed and then I mounted it with foam tape. I stamped the two other sentiments on white cardstock and placed them. Finally I used three pearls in the Pearl Strip Bling on the left corner. This made a super cute card with lots of movement and texture.

Just Wanted To Say Hello

Sometimes it's nice to send a friend a card for no other reason other than just to say hello, to brighten their day and let them know you are thinking of them. This week's creation is a card that does just that.

I created the beautiful peacock using a die and individually cut and placed the five different colors within the peacock feathers in the plume. I added  to the feathers for sparkle and gave the peacock a beautiful sparkling Purple Bling eye. In the corners oBlue Bling the framed peacock are two yellow Butterfly Corner Brads to center the piece.

Although this card did take some time to create it turned out beautiful in my opinion thanks to all the sparkly embellishments from Eyelet Outlet.

Words of WisdomAnd

This retro woman on an old time telephone I discovered in the Cricut image library was a perfect opportunity to use one of my Eyelet Outlet telephone brads.

And she is offering some excellent words of wisdom!  Be careful what you use your fabric scissors for!  I added a little Heat & Bond to the back of this scrap of fabric and used my iron to attach it to my card.  Positioning it partly under the scissor brad really made it look like those scissors were cutting the fabric!

Eyelet Outlet will be at the Scrapbook Expo March 1-2 in Pleasanton, California, so if you're in the area, stop by the vendor fair!  See the rest of our tradeshow schedule here.

Bird Words

If, like me (Lauren) you enjoy watching the birds at your backyard feeder, you will have noticed quite a bit of mealtime chatter, and you may have wondered what it's all about. With the help of our handsome Eyelet Outlet Bluebird and Robin Brads and some fun speech bubbles, here is my fanciful idea of what those birds are saying to each other. Card backgrounds made from Wide Sky Washi, Wood Tape and Music Note Washi Tape.

Eyelet Outlet has Birds, Bugs, Farm Animals, Jungle Critters, Fish, Crustaceans, Reptiles, Cats, Dogs, Deer,  and... well, pretty much ANY cute critter you could possibly want to add to your papercrafting projects!

hopes YOU have a BEARY nice day!

Winter Besties!

Aren't these sweet little winter clad gals adorable? I think so! And, they are beating the winter blues with coffee and friendship!

I started my card by creating a cloudy, wintery background with distress inks. I then added a strip of sparkling white glitter washi for snow. I fussy cut my sweet winter girls and placed them on the right side. Next, I stamped my greeting directly on the frames washi and added to my layout! What's a fun gathering of friends without coffee or bubble tea? So, I added the coffee cup brads and layered on bubble tea washi lined cardstock! I hope you enjoy!

Eggs-tra Special Easter!

Spring is on it's way and it's definitely time to start making Easter cards. I filled the die cut Easter basket with lots of EO goodness. I've included Colored Egg Brads, White Daisy Brads, Chick Brads, Pastel Rabbit Brads, Dragonfly Brads, and Paper Flowers in purple and pink. I used a 3D embossing folder for the background. To make the embossed design pop, I brushed on white metallic gilding wax. The final touches include an Easter Bubble Brad and Cut Jewel Bling. This is so fresh and puts me in the mood for Easter for sure!

Ring Around the Rosettes

This week's creation is different than anything I've made in the past. I wanted to make some cards, but I wanted them to be different. It just so happened that I got some extra fabric from a friend yesterday and decided to incorporate the different fabrics into my cards while using Eyelet Outlet’s embellishments to enhance them.

I created six different rosettes out of the different fabrics and added matching bling or matching brads to the center of each rosette. From there, I was able to go in any direction I wanted as far on how to use the rosettes.

I started with the cards…one card is based around the Colored Daisy brads with a sunny yellow daisy in the middle of the rosette, a pink daisy around the sentiment, Gold Glitter Washi tape and two Yellow Stippled Jewel Brads in the corners.

The second card is a basic black and white card that is embellished with many Black Stippled Jewel Blings, some corners off of the Black Swirl Bling and a large Black faceted Jewel Bling in the center of the rosette.

The third card I created is a fun, everyday card with the rosette being made from fabric that had a farm theme.

I had to add the bright red Truck Brad to the middle. They just looked like they were made to go together. Eyelet Outlet has some many cute choices, you will find something that will match whatever theme you are going for.

On the outside of the card are several Black Stippled Jewel Bling as well as Black and Orange Bling. These cards are just so cute and so fun, and I cannot wait to send them to a friend.

With the other rosettes I made, I turned them into hair barrettes by gluing a basic hair clip to the back of each rosette.

I do not know which one is my favorite between the Tropical Bird rosette ...

or the vintage country style fabric with the Jeans and T-shirt Brad

They are both adorable and would look beyond cute in any little girl's hair.

Eyelet Outlets embellishments always jazz up your creations but as you can see here, they can also be the center of your creations without being overstated. LOVE.

Have a wonderful week and always be STRATE-UP CRAFTY!

Pocket Full of Posies

Spring is just around the corner and I'm thinking about flowers!  Eyelet Outlet has paper flowers in every color that will really make your spring projects stand out.  Today I've filled a pocket of my favorite blue jeans with some yellow ones - and a few green ones serve as leaves.

We have lots of options for adorning the center of your flowers, from jeweled brads, round brads, and stick-on jewels, but today I decided on some enamel dots.  I also added a few enamel hearts to my card.

Valentine Postage Collage

I just love the versatility of Eyelet Outlet products and was exited to create a wintery Valentine themed postage collage! In staying with a winter theme, I used the snowman couple brads as my focus and added white glitter washi tape for snow and a red enamel heart. Next, I stamped "you melt my heart" sentiment as well as some script, postage lines, and hearts.

I filled in my other postage stamp spaces with Happy Valentine's Day glitter washi, wintery glitter tall tree washi tape, and vintage washi tape! I added a few red rose brads to finish off my card!

And since I was having so much fun! I decided to decorate my envelope too! I added the skinny red and white washi tape and some Valentine themed stamps to finish off my project! I hope you enjoy! What a fun way to play with a variety of Eyelet Outlet washi tapes, brads and more!

My Shopping Bag

I have been waiting for just the right moment to use these super
cute shopping brads from Eyelet Outlet. Who doesn't like a
new purse or shoes and I could not pass these up.

The image (Julie Spiri) is perfect for this cute bag and I used the pink
dotted washi tape from Eyelet Outlet to add a little glimmer.
I also used the pink jewels to highlight the title of the bag.
The best part of this project is that you could used this
bag as a cute gift bag for someone.

Hello Friend

Spring is coming and my card today looks forward to green grass and warmer days. For this card, I designed a scene with Cricut Design Space to include a bare tree, clouds, the Hello sentiment and the friend banner. Before adding these items, I prepared the background with a stencil and blue inks. I added clouds, a heat embossed banner, and Grass Washi Tape. Then I placed all the other items and added a Colored Daisy Brad, Butterfly Brads, a Bluebird Brad, and Rabbit Brads. Once done, I added faux white stitches on the sentiment and blue dots to highlight the clouds behind the tree. I like the pops of bright colors here and there in the card.
