Toasting Your Engagement!
Hello everyone! It's my first post for Eyelet Outlet and I couldn't be happier to be here with you. Hopefully you joined us over at the Columbus Scrap & Stamp Show yesterday on Facebook. If you haven't gotten a chance to visit the page, go do it! Each vendor presented a 15 minute video about their store. There are lots of sales including one for Eyelet Outlet.
My card for you today was one that I made for our presentation at the show. This is a 5 x 7 card. I made the brick background with texture paste and a stencil. I dabbed the bricks with red and gray oxide inks so that they'd look a little aged. At the top you'll see some of the pretty bird washi tape from Eyelet Outlet. This worked well because my stencil wasn't big enough to cover the whole panel.
The silhouette is from Cricut Design Space. I knew I wanted the wine glasses and wine to sit on the table so I measure the glasses and made two rectangles to represent them. Then I sized the silhouette so that the silhouette and the glasses would be proportional. The place mat is a stamp that happened to be the right size. I stamped it on white, colored it red and used white gel pen to draw the pattern in. After it was fussy cut, I glued it on the table and added the wine glasses and bottle from the Wine Brads set. You could easily draw your own place mat if you don't have a similar stamp.
I embossed the sentiment, matted it and used two of the darling Heart Enamel Dots on it. I looped some silver cording before putting the sentiment on top. I had the paper bow in my stash. I had made it eons ago so I was happy to finally find a place for it!
Thanks for stopping by. I can't wait to give this to a newly engaged couple. Let me know what you think!

Unicorns & Messages
Today's card entitled "Unicorns & Messages" is a simple card sketch that focuses on encouraging messages for the youngster who enjoys unicorns and a bit of bling!
It's always a good time to let others know you care; this card does it well and is quite versatile.
For example, using different papers, exchange the unicorns for classic cars or trucks, and swap the bling for solid-colored brads and it becomes a masculine card for any age. Change out the 'be kind' message to 'stay safe' and the card is geared more toward a mature audience. The card options are limitless!
If you're not able to mail the card or give it in person, then take a picture of the card and send it electronically if possible.
Gather up all of your Eyelet Outlet Brads and Bling and determine what cards you can create for friends and family members. Also explore the Eyelet Outlet web site for more amazing options unique to your needs.

Lucky!
Good Thursday morning, crafters! Eyelet Outlet introduced a brand new brad set this past week - the Unicorn & Rainbow set! Today I'm bringing you a card using the rainbow from the set.
The shamrock and pot of gold are images from the Cricut image library and I used Eyelet Outlet's gold stick on gems for the "gold" at the end of my rainbow. To finish it off and add even more sparkle, a few green stick on gems and a white enamel heart.
Be sure and join us at the Great Lakes Scrapbook Virtual Event this Saturday! I think it will be lots of fun!
Until next week, stay safe and be well!

Hello my clever crafty friends! I’m Janet Axtman aka SugarShine Designs. I am a North Dakota native who now resides in North Carolina. By day I’m a busy professional, wife, and mother trying to live a life in Faith. By night (usually between the hours of 9 to midnight), I am a paper designer extraordinaire! My passion is to teach and inspire just as I’ve been and continue to be inspired by so many talented and beautiful creators. My style is whatever mood I’m in but I am drawn to bright and energetic colors so often my creations fall into the cute and happy category. I especially enjoy making cards and 3D home décor but I’m always trying new things to expand my skills. I often take advantage of electronic cutting machines to make projects but I also have a large collection of steel dies too. I love options! I also like to get my hands dirty. You’ll usually find me with stained fingers from inks and other mediums. With Eyelet Outlet products, your creations are only bounded by your imagination and who doesn’t love that? I’m truly honored to be here with you to share what takes me to my happy place and hope I can pass a little of that on to you too!
Happy, Hoppy, Easter
Easter is hopping our way pretty quickly, but there's still time to make a few cards for somebunny special! And of course Eyelet Outlet has all the brads, tape, bling and sequins you could possibly need. I (Lauren) am not the best engineer in the world, but I couldn't resist making a fun Easter shaker card:
This might be the deepest shaker card of all time, it can very nearly qualify as a diorama, lol! I was trying to make a little scene for the adorable Rabbit Brads to inhabit, and of course I had to hide some Colored Eggs in the tall grass; so somehow the layers just kept increasing. Plus it was a beautiful day so I needed Sun and Cloud Brads. Then obviously it wouldn't be a shaker card without some lovely pale blue Sequins to match the sky!
Hop on over to the Eyelet Outlet Store where there are lots more Easter treats, like Chicks, Pastel Rabbits, Chocolate Bunny Brads and did I mention the Washi Tape...? ;)
always eats the ears off a
chocolate bunny first!

Happy Birthday & You're Invited
Today there are two cards that are different but share one thing in common: bling! Who doesn't like bling, right?
The first card entitled, "Happy Birthday", is a simple birthday card full of spring colors and flowers. The lovely background paper (Julie Nutting) sets the tone for the card. The lace edging (Anna Griffin) serves as the base for the beautiful Eyelet Outlet's Fancy Long Bling and the Eyelet Outlet Red Paper Flower is adorned with a jewel from the jewel strip. (Yes, you can easily cut the Long Bling strip!) The birthday sentiment (Lawn Fawn) is the finishing touch.
The second card entitled, "You're Invited", demonstrates another application of the Eyelet Outlet Fancy Long Bling against an array of black and grey papers (from my stash, but I think Michaels). This version of the Fancy Long Bling features clear jewels with black beads. The lettering (Anna Griffin Alphabets 2 die) lends to the card's sophisticated look.
Because of the dark paper background and the luxurious, linen-look silver paper, the impression is that the jewels are encrusted onto the card and it looks expensive. (Actually, it cost $2.01 per 5x7 card and approximately $1.75 for an A2 size card as the bling is currently on sale!)
This can be any kind of invitation by changing up the papers.....milestone birthday, sweet 16 birthday, or a formal dinner party. I had a wedding in mind while creating the card. Note: there is room on the card to add the appropriate die cuts; however, I wanted the invitation to be a surprise until the information was revealed on the inside of the card.

Donut Worry
Sometimes it's difficult not to worry, but let me encourage you to try with this card featuring a box full of delicious donuts. Eyelet Outlet's donut brads look good enough to eat, don't they?
I got this paper quite some time ago at Hobby Lobby, but had forgotten about it. I'm glad I remembered it, because doesn't it pair perfectly with the donut brads?
The little box is from the Cricut image library and I sliced the window into the original image and added a piece of acetate to it. The font I used on the sentiment is called "Chasing Hearts."
Thanks for stopping in today. Stay safe and healthy, friends!

Unicorns, Rainbows and Sunshine
Even if none of the above are in the actual forecast for this week, I (Lauren) am happy that I can produce such a combination in card form, using the brand new Eyelet Outlet Unicorn and Rainbow Brads!
I used Gina K's awesome Wreathbuilder Template and Mandala Maker stamp set to construct a basic mandala, then added punched circles and hearts to make the design even more colorful. In addition to the Unicorns and Rainbows I placed a Sun and Cloud Brad in the center medallion. I also placed a strip of Confetti Washi across the base to anchor my mandala, and flanked with with strips of Skinny Tape.
Stay tuned for more inspiration right here on the Eyelet Outlet Blog!
still loves Unicorns!

Get Well
Today's card titled, "Get Well", is an elegant card filled with well wishes and Eyelet Outlet bling!
The Fancy Long Bling (wide) Strip is elegant and elevates the card to the next level. The Red Paper Flower serves as the focal point of the card. The flower center embellishment as well as the gemstones on the lace edge and sprinkled around the sentiment are from the Snowflake Bling - XL 2 inches. (Yes, there are scissors involved!)
The card message is simple but relevant today more than ever. This card can also be a "Thinking of You" card, a "Hello" card, or a fancy notecard!
Head on over to the Eyelet Outlet site and pick up your bling and flower supplies. You'll love the sparkle and texture of this card, so make it yourself!

Favorite Peeps
Good Thursday morning, crafters! Have you seen Eyelet Outlet's brand new baby chick brads? They are so adorable! I love that there are two different poses in each package. Don't these two look like they are actually having a conversation?
I added some little chicken tracks to the grass. They are from the "Footprints" image set in Cricut Design Space. I've had the chicken wire embossing folder for the longest time, but had never used it until now.
If you're in the Collinsville, Illinois area this coming weekend, stop in and see all the Eyelet Outlet products in person at the Creating Keepsakes Convention! Until next week, keep crafting!

I (Heart) Silly Cards!
I (Lauren) often see funny little sentiments on t-shirts, bumper stickers, or as memes on social media. Being a cardmaker, my first thought is often, "Hey! That would make a fun card!" Being an Eyelet Outlet design team member, my second thought is usually, "Hey! We have the perfect brad for that!"
In this case, the perfect brads are the super-fun Yoga Cats from a couple of years ago, which coincidentally happen to be on sale! I formatted the text in a free font called Ziggy Standard, printed it on a clear inkjet label, then added the cats, part of a Bling Strip and a bunch of mats. Et Voila!
I will put a jpg of this sentiment on the Eyelet Outlet Freebies Page, just in case anybody else is feeling silly today too!
is silly pretty much
every single day!
