Great nautical masculine card with our new brads!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a nautical masculine card for that boat-loving friend featuring our new Boat & Lighthouse Brads! I've been fixated on water/beach cards all summer long, it seems, and these new brads couldn't have hit the store at a better time! I also used our Anchor Brads along with our Wide Sky Washi Tape and Water Washi Tape which made the base for a very cool little scene! I fashioned a cliff from kraft cardstock, stamped some birds and shoreline greenery, and then added a sentiment and the brads. Easy quick card!

I embellished the inside panel with a strip of Red Skinny Washi Tape and a strip of blue cardstock, stamped the sentiment in blue ink, and layered the panel on the blue cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

You Float My Boat

We added to our nautical themed collection this summer! You'll love the new sailboat brads and light house brads that are part of the summer release.

I created a shaker card with a bottle from the Cricut image library and the slice tool in Cricut Design Space.  In addition to the sailboat inside the bottle, there's also some Eyelet Outlet sequins.  I used the shell mix sequins and a few of the hearts sequins.  The light house brad was perfect near the sentiment of my card and the anchor brad was the perfect touch in the center of the twine.

I'm sure the new Boat and lighthouse brads will float your boat, too!

Life Really is Better in Flip Flops

Amongst the new Eyelet Outlet Summer Brad release are Flip Flops, which come with three colors in each pack: brown, black and hot pink. Amazingly enough for me (Lauren) I didn't use the pink ones first??!

Rest assured that pink is still my favorite color, but in this case, as I worked on the card, these ancient cork alphabet stickers, plus our beautiful Shell BradsShell Corners and Sea Shore Brads meant my card was becoming distinctly neutral and natural, so I opted for the brown Flip Flops this time. A scattering of pearls finishes off my slimline shoreline card design.

Other new releases include our Boat and Lighthouse BradsWhite Daisy Brads and Dragonfly Brads. Be sure to check back often to see inspiring ideas from the design team!

Sandy Feet are the Best Feet!

Hi EO fans! Today I've got a fun sandy beach scene full of fun EO beachy brads. To make this card, I created a blended background out of distress oxide inks. The sand was created first by masking off the horizon line and then I blended the water and sky.

I used the new brown flip flop brads along with Sandcastle Brads and Beach Umbrella Brads. The Sun and Cloud Brad set always looks great in a sky scene.

SHOPPING LIST:

I matted the scene on a handmade water color background I had made some time ago. I keep handmade backgrounds on my work table until I find a use for them. I think this one looked great with the scene colors. I used a light brown kraft cardstock with lots of fiber in it for the A2 card base.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a beachy day!

Having flown the earth for 300 million years...

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a pretty mixed media canvas featuring our new Dragonfly Brads that hit the store last week. I also used Purple Enamel Dots and White Pearl Bling on the background to compliment the brads. I typically make cards and ATCs as inspiration projects for this team and wanted to create something a little different this time.

I started by covering the canvas with white gesso and then added lots of texture with stencils, grit paste and texture paste. I spritzed a variety of glimmer mists and color washes randomly over the entire canvas, hit it lightly with water, and let it all run together. The fun part about this is you never know what you're going to get - some areas are darker/lighter than others and it's totally random! Using writing and texture stamps and purple archival ink, I stamped randomly over the canvas.

I added a dragonflies meaning that I die cut and layered along with a variety of paper flowers, a purple seam binding bow, a purple crafting cord bow, and a little wooden gear. The final touch was adding Dragonfly BradsPurple Enamel Dots and White Pearl Bling to the background to complete the canvas.

I'm Drawn To You

I hope you've been over to the Eyelet Outlet store and seen the new summer releases!  We've been having fun showing them off!  Today I'm bringing you a project that features the new dragonfly brads. Now I'm not a insect specialist, so I'm not 100% certain that dragonflies are actually drawn to light, so I might be taking a little license with this one, but I still love how it turned out!

The light I used is from the Cricut image library and I think the Eyelet Outlet light bulb brad really electrified it!

Have you ordered some of the new releases yet?  Show us how you've used them at Eyelet Outlet Fans Facebook group!

Smooth Sailing

The new Eyelet Outlet Boat and Lighthouse Brads could not be more appealing, and I (Lauren) can think of so many ways to use them! For example, how about a ship... or in this case a sailboat, lol... in a bottle?

I made a little background from paper scraps to represent sky, sea, sand and a bit of a cliff. Then I stamped my mason jar on top in Archival ink and cut it out. Inside the jar, I added a Boat and a Lighthouse Brad as well as the Sun from our Sun and Cloud set; to the foreground of the card I affixed one each of the three styles of Shell Brads. My sticker sentiment wishes the recipient, "Smooth Sailing Ahead"... and I think we could all use more of that, right?!

Getting Cozy with Warm Hearts & Cold Noses

Today we're celebrating Christmas in July with warm hearts and cold noses! I love Corgi dogs. Our family owns Rocky, a precocious stubborn little personality that makes our house complete.
To create this card, I started by stamping the Corgi image from the Power Poppy Christmas Corgis set. I used Karin Markers and their blender pen to color it. I cut the image out and put it on top of a metallic silver paper circle cut with a stitched die from Art Impressions. I used the next larger die in the set to cut another circle and stacked the two together.

For the background panel, I cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece out of blue cardstock. I added strips of alternating Corgi Washi Tape and Skinny Silver and Blue Washi Tapes. At the very top I put two strips of Silver Sparkle Glitter Washi Tape. Then I cut a fancy border from a die and attached it to the top. I used a strip of Fancy Long Pearl and Jewel Bling to accent the top.

To finish this card, I placed a Large and XL sized Snowflake Bling toward the top of the card. A stamped sentiment was placed on double-sided tape and put at the bottom of the circles.

Simple beach-themed card for that beach lover friend!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a fun beach-themed card featuring our new Flip Flop Brads that hit the store earlier this week! Of course, I had to pair them with a Sun Brad and a Seagull Brad along with Wide Sky Washi Tape and the Water Washi Tape to complete the beach scene! Beach scenes are so much fun to create with washi tape and brads, and of course torn kraft cardstock for the sand, and makes for a super simple no-fuss design. I added a stamped, heat embossed and die cut Adirondack chair and an awesome sentiment that really compliments the scene.

I embellished the inside panel with strips of the cardstock used on the front, and stamped another cool sentiment that compliments the design beautifully. This card couldn't have been any easier! ;)

Pocket Full Of Daisies

Today I've got a pocket full of daisies for you featuring Eyelet Outlet's brand new daisy brads

I also layered a few of our paper flowers in white and used a yellow enamel dot in the center as well as a green leaf brad peaking out from under the paper flower.  I was all finished with this when it occurred to me that I could have used some of the mini leaf brads around my daisy brads! The patterned paper I've used on this card is a digital paper pack from Jenny L. Designs available on Etsy.

Thanks for stopping in today!  Be sure and check out the new daisy brads as well as the other new releases!

Happy Birdie(s)

Flamingos are not the only beautiful and vivid bird featured on Eyelet Outlet Funky Birds Washi, but they are my (Lauren's) favorite (who doesn't love a bright pink bird with really long legs?!) and since I also had a pack of Flamingo Brads, I decided to make them the stars of my cards.

I lined up a few strips of Funky Birds Tape on some plain white cardstock and used my Altenew Bold Alphabet Dies to cut out the keyword. I added the rest of my sentiment in stickers and then embellished with Flamingo Brads, Tall Palms and White Round Sequins.

For my second card I added the tape directly to my graph paper background, on top of some Pink and Green ZigZag Washi. Another sticker sentiment, Flamingo Brad and a few Sequins complete the design.

Prefer your flamingo tape a little less funky? We've got five other varieties, I'm pretty sure you'll find at least one to love!

Penguin Christmas Greetings!

Hey everyone! It's July and you know what that means! We get to break out our Christmas supplies and chill out during a hot time of year. One great way to do that is to break out the holiday themed Eyelet Outlet products.

This card was very simple and quick to do. I made a Kraft A2 card base and splattered it with white acrylic paint mixed with water. After it dried, I strung a brown jute cord between two Screw brads. Then I placed three cute penguins on it. I added Holiday Lights to the cord to make it look like a light cord.

I cut the sentiment out with a die in green and white glitter cardstock. After placing them on the card, I placed Snowflake bling and two Snowflake brads. I added two Snowflake Bling pieces in green to finish off this whimsical card.

Congratulations on your new home!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a new home card featuring our Fish Stamp Set and coordinating Fish Brads along with some Blue Enamel Dots! This was definitely a fun card to put together with the matching stamps and brads!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from white cardstock along with a dark gray marble layering panel which I adhered to the card base. I cut the fishbowl and all the elements from aqua, green and kraft cardstock and assembled it. I added the Fish Brads and adhered the fishbowl to the card front. Using the Fish Stamp Set, I stamped the sentiment in black ink and added several Blue Enamel Dots to complete the card front.

I cut the inside panel from white cardstock embellished it with horizontal strips of the gray marble and aqua cardstock, stamped a congratulatory sentiment (from another stamp set in my stash) in turquoise and black ink, and layered the panel on the Basis Aqua cardstock.

Sleigh Rides

I love the versatility of the Eyelet Outlet sleigh brads.  They pair with our Santa brads, prancing deer brads and today I've paired it with our horse brad for an old fashioned sleigh ride.

I've also used the wreath brad on the barn.  I love how this turned out and believe I'll made a few more soon so that I'm ready to send my Christmas cards on time this year!

We'd love to see how you've used the sleigh brad in your projects, so join us over at Eyelet Outlet Fans Facebook Group!

Calendar Girl

When I (Lauren) saw this super-fun, extra-wide Calendar Washi in the Eyelet Outlet Store, I knew immediately that I wanted to adorn it with a year's worth of seasonal brads. I confess it didn't occur to me that I'd wind up with with 29 brads from 21 sets on a 6.5 x 5.5" card; but that's cool too!

Here's the brad list, month by month; try to spot my very silly mistake! January: Penguin and Snowflake Brads; February: Heart Brads; March: Bluebird and Robin Brads plus a Mini Bee; April: Chick and Colored Egg Brad; May: Colored Daisy and Mini Ladybug; July: the Hat from our patriotic Flag and Hat set; June: Tall Palm Tree and Colorful Sunglass Brad; August: Ice Cream and the Sun from the Sun and Cloud Brad set; September: Book Brad and a School Bus; October: Pumpkin and Mini Spiders (they're on sale!); November: Mini Leaves and the Rake from our Lawn Mower set; December: Santa and Mrs. Claus.

So did you catch the error? Yep. I accidentally swapped June and July!!! And what's more I didn't even notice until I was writing up this post! Oh well, technically June has Flag Day and July is still a nice month for the beach, so let's just keep this between ourselves, ok? Thanks!

does actually know the months of the year...
