Okay, okay... it's really not a layout this week.
I thought I'd show you some other things to do with your Eyelet Outlet goodies.
Eyelet Outlet has some beautiful new washi tapes great for art journaling.
Below is a page I did in my "test journal". I like to have a journal to try different/new techniques, ideas, or paint or mediums in. For this one I laid a thin layer of gesso first, then I added random strips of washi tape on the page. I used three different kinds (they'll be in the supply list at the end of the post). I applied texture paste through a stencil and used a heat tool to dry. Once dry, I dry brushed my paint layers. Using a collage glue stick I added the paper flowers, then mixed some multi matte medium with some paint to "seal" the flowers onto my page. Add some swirl bling strips and... TADA!

Thank you for visiting and make something pretty today.
I need a "test journal!" I have dabbled in all kinds of mixed media but I'm still figuring out how some of the new products interact. This would help ease the inhibitions!
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE all these bright colors and awesome textures! Thanks for the ideas and inspiration!
Deb, I had the same problem for years. I was always scared to get started, because I didn't want to "ruin" my art journal. Now I have several... a test one, then one for the different product lines. My test journal is always where I test products together, because it's always ify how they will work together.
Delete(I could've sworn I commented on this... Yikes... I apologize! Bc I know for a fact I said "WOW!" out loud when I saw this awesomeness!!!)
ReplyDeleteLOL... it was on my Facebook page I think. I need to do a video tutorial, because it is SUPER easy and fun.
