Graduation Centerpiece w/ Video Tutorials

I needed a fun centerpiece for my husbands graduation party for getting his Masters.  So i set of to make something different and fun, a little faux cake made of clay, paper, and bling!!

I started out making the graduation cap from clay.

I then set out to create all the embellishments and assembling/painting/adding paper to the base of the cake with boxes, the little paper mortarboard for the sides from EZ Laser Designs using the Eyelet Outlet Brad in the center to hold in the tassel, some more clay, and painting chipboard numbers.  Here is a video tutorial on how I created all the steps above.

The last step is to combine all the parts together including the amazing Eyelet Outlet bling and pearls.  Check out my video tutorial below!!

Here are the Eyelet Outlet products on this project - Clear Bumpy Bling, White and Black Round Jewels, 1/16 Mini black round brads, Black Stickyback Pearls Pearls.
