Layouts on Friday with Rosandra

Hello Eyelet Outlet fans!! This week's layout is a simple color blocking of patterned paper from a paper pack I had in my stash. If you've used the bling strips you know they are great for framing photos. This is an easy way to break up the sections when doing this kind of layout.

  six_flags_layout

I used the bling strips and enamel dots to create my own embellishment frame to highlight one of my photos.

Ever wonder what to do with all those little
pieces of left over bling strips? Here I created another embellishment with the left over bits and some enamel dots to add texture and interest to one of the color blocks.

Thank you for visiting and happy scrapping.

Product Scoop: Washi Tapes

Welcome Eyelet Outlet Fans!
Susie is up first to share some Washi tape projects with  you.

Have you ever wanted to use patterned paper AND Washi tape?  Me too - so I figured out an easy way to do it.  I wanted my Washi tape to stay vibrant, so I adhered it to white card stock and trimmed it at the top.  Then I adhered the entire Washi tape panel to my patterned paper.  Voila!  Patterned paper and vibrant and fresh Washi tape colors.  After I stamped and die cut all of my accents, I added on more important item - a Music Note brad.  I love it!!

Here is one more Washi tape card.  Did you know you can stamp and heat emboss on Washi tape?  Well, you can!!  Just move your heat tool quickly over the tape and everything (not the tape though) melts perfectly!  Do you love that Telephone Brad?  Be sure to take a look on the website to grab some of your own!  It comes in a package with fan brads.  How cool is that? I hope you found some fun ideas here today.  That's it for me today, but be sure to stay tuned here at the blog. We always have something fun to share with you and inspire you!

If you have a chance, I would love for you to visit me at The Dies Have It.

Next is this fantastic card from Kerry featuring a new Washi style we have at our shows!!

Layouts on Fridays with Rosandra

Welcome to another Layouts with Rosandra! Here is this week's inspiration sketch for my layout to honor "Dad"

  june14_12x12d_lg

Your bling isn't just for girls anymore!!! I love the selection of masculine brads and bling.

  dad_layout

The combination of gears and screws on this page just scream "Dad". Don't be shy about adding bling to those masculine pages. I like using the pearl bling strips because of their flatter finish. It's great for adding defintion if you're layering paper (especially solids).

Welcome Back Annette!

Hello Eyelet Outlet fans! Annette here with a couple of cards for dear ole dad. I took a brief hiatus from designing to focus on my family. I'm glad to be back refreshed and ready to create designs that hopefully inspire you.

Although this was not intentional, both of my cards have an underwater theme.

The first card was created with some clever masking and multiple brads, including: Anchor Brads - Red, White and Blue Fish Brads Shell Shore Brads Shell Corner Brads

When I was little, I used to think my dad could do anything. He fixed things around the house. He worked on cars. He mowed the lawn, and he was the breadwinner in the household. I think many children look to their fathers with that kind of admiration, which is the inspiration behind this next card.

Mr. Octopus is a Jack of All Trades. He can cook, type, play baseball, play with pinwheels and hammer nails all while looking quite dapper! Featured brads incude: Eye Glass Brads Mustache Brads Mens Hats Brads Ball Brads Tools Brads Baking Brads Pinwheel Brads Shell Shore Brads Dads love homemade cards.

I hope I've given you some great ideas so you can create a unique card for your dad!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
