Wonderful New Washi...

Wonderful new washi tape is now available in the Eyelet Outlet store.
You will want to sled on over there and put in your order before it is announced in the newsletter!

Here are a few to tempt your creative genes!
But remember, we also carry
Holiday Washi Tape such as Valentines
and so many styles that we can not list them all here!!

SUPER Valentines

Super-Hero Valentines are fun for little guys (and probably some bigger guys too) ... and Eyelet Outlet's Super Hero Saying Brads make them even more fun.

I started with a Captain America sticker and then added my Bang! Pow! & Boom! which lends a fun comic book feel.

I printed my sentiment and put the card together using this week's CAS(E) this Sketch.

Spider-Man works great too with some extra Pow! and Boom!.

Eyelets add just the right amount of dimension while still keeping your cards mailable.

Wait... *MORE* Than Yarn??!

I suppose by now everyone knows how much I (Lauren) love paper, brads and washi tape, but something you may not realize is that I also love yarn... quite a bit, actually. So I was pretty excited when I discovered Eyelet Outlet Knitting Brads!

Each packet has a mix of knitting needles and balls of yarn in three luscious colors. The aqua ones are a perfect match for the Blue Dot Washi Tape I've used to frame up the card. It's possible this little kitty loves them as much as I do. Which explains the Heart Brads scattered among the swirly embroidery floss I've used to play the part of unravelling yarn, lol.

I hope today you'll find a little time to do something creative with the things that *YOU* love: whether that's yarn, or paint, or super-fun Eyelet Outlet embellishments!

Valentine ATCs

When I was a little girl I loved giving and receiving Valentines, and I suppose it's fair to say that I've never outgrown it!  It is so much fun to have a stash of little cards to draw from for whenever and wherever a little love note would warm someone's heart.

These ATC-sized Valentines come together so quickly using coordinating papers and Eyelet Outlet embellishments.  One might expect to see enamel hearts and glitter washi tape on a Valentine, but with the right sentiments, other everyday objects will work just as well.

How about "a perfect pair" of eyeglasses?

Maybe a white and pink iPhone from our set of Selfies brads?!

This set of ATCs was made from bright, clean white card stock, but I'm working on some with vintage papers and embellishments, too.  A few scraps of paper and you're halfway there! You can use the ATCs as they are, or as a jump-start for a regular card, and they are a great place to try a new technique.   Have fun experimenting!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello everyone!  Barry, the Prince of Paper here to show you a different way to use Washi tape that is fun, interesting and quite easy.

First I cut 1 inch squares from white card stock, each square has 4 glued on top of one another as I wanted the squares to be thick and add dimension and weight to the card.  Next I used three different shades of  pink or purple washi tape (pink foil striped and purple pattern glitter) and placed them in a cross fashion on each square.  Stuck them to a piece of pink card stock, and then place that on top of a second shade of pink card stock and then added this to my shiny red card base.  The border around the sentiment is made from pink zig zag washi tape and finally added the pink heart enamel hearts!

I hope you all have a magical and wonderful Valentine's day that is full of love and.....chocolate!

{Like a Love Song Baby}

To me, nothing say Valentine's Day quite like Swirl Bling ... because everyone deserves some special bling on a special day.

I started with a simple layout from Freshly Made Sketches and added an awesome Love Song Sentiment from Impression Obsession ... and then the swirl blinging began with oh-so-elegant Gold Pearls.

One thing I really love about Eyelet Outlet Swirl Bling is that they come attached to clear acetate, so you can lay the bling over your project to see what they will look like before you start adhering them.  That allows me to trim and reposition if necessary to get just the look I want.

And of course, I couldn't resist finishing with two pieces of Heart Jewel Bling that practically SCREAM Valentine's Day.

Je T'aime, Valentine

Bonjour, mes amies! Lauren here, with a Valentine gift idea that could work at any time of year, really. I started with an inexpensive papier mache box and a heart punch, added lots of fun Eyelet Outlet embellishments-- including my beloved Eiffel Tower Brads-- and here's what I came up with:

I do love banners! They are easy and fun to make, and can be adapted to literally any occasion. For this one I punched medium sized hearts and tiny circles, then got right to the FUN PART: embellishing! In addition to Eiffel Tower Brads, I've got some Star BradsSwirl BlingPaper Flowers and Heart-Shaped Pearls.

My favorite Paris Love Washi solved the biggest problem I've had in the past when decorating little boxes: how to neatly cover the edge of the lid? Washi is not only the perfect size for this job, it's also self-adhesive! I added a band of Skinny Hearts Washi to the bottom of the box, as well.

I wanted the top of the box to coordinate with the banner, so I used the same elements, again--Eiffel Tower BradsSwirl Bling and Paper Flowers --but made them a little more prominent, to suit the size and shape of the lid.

One of the things I like about this idea is its flexibility. Whether your Valentine loves ItalyDinosaursSports or GardeningEyelet Outlet has a brad for that!

I hope you'll be inspired to make something extra special for your Valentine this year!
