Witchful Thinking

Halloween is just a month away, but there's still time to make some fun (and fast!) cards with Eyelet Outlet Halloween Brads!

This sweet little witch diecut was part of a seasonal collection from a year or two ago, and when I saw her again while looking for something else, I realized that she was the perfect size for out Witch Leg Brads! And where there's a witch, you are bound to find a few black cats... or in this case... Kitten Brads; one of whom is very curious about what might be under that Witch Hat

We've also got Pumpkins and GhostsCandy Corn and MonstersSpiders and Owls and lots more Halloween fun at Eyelet Outlet!

A Bag Full of Fall Fun!

Hello Ai Fans! It's Janet here with a fun gift bag idea. It's more popular than ever to give special little gifts to certain little pumpkins at Halloween. Here's an idea how to turn a plain brown paper bag from the Dollar Tree into something special.

I made the shaker by combining two pumpkin files in Cricut Design Space. In the background, I applied strips of glitter Sunflower Washi Tape. This is one of my most favorite fall washi designs in the store. It's so cheerful! I used it as the background for the lace on the top and bottom also.

What would a shaker be without shaker bits? I chose to use the Pumpkin Sequins from the store. I also scrunched up three of the smallest black Paper Flowers, glued them together and applied glitter glue to the edges of the petals before applying them to the stem. Finally I added a beautiful Sunflower Brad as an accent to the raffia bow. I really love how this one turned out.

Pun-y Breakfast Artist Trading Cards and Coins!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a super fun set of four artist trading cards and coins, created with the coordinating Breakfast Stamps and Bacon Egg & Toast Brads, along with Blue Jewel Bling, Clear Jewel Bling, Green Jewel Bling and Gray Enamel Dots! You just can't go wrong with stamps and brads that coordinate with each other!

I cut and punched the card and coin bases (two for each ATC) from white cardstock along with some patterned paper layers. I adhered the patterned paper layers to the bases to make the four ATCs, stamped the sentiments from Breakfast Stamps on each one, and added the Bacon Egg & Toast Brads. I then added Blue Jewel Bling, Clear Jewel Bling, Green Jewel Bling and Gray Enamel Dots and adhered the extra base on the back of each ATC for stability.

Recipe Scrapbooking

In 2009 I decided to scrapbook a few family recipes for my girls and that's when I discovered Eyelet Outlet and their amazing brads.  Every once in a while I return to my paper crafting roots and create a recipe scrap book page and recently I created this two page layout for my niece. The recipe is a family favorite made often for picnics by my late mother.  Adding to the specialness of this page is that the recipe is written in her handwriting.

Since this baked bean recipe calls for bacon, I knew I'd need to reach for my Eyelet Outlet bacon brads.  And the tiny heart brads on my title were perfect.

Our family typically enjoys this recipe while roasting hot dogs on a back yard fire pit, so the Eyelet Outlet camp fire brad from our camping set was a must.  Just for fun I added a pair of Eyelet Outlet sunglasses to my "Cool Beans" image and of course, there's always room for Eyelet Outlet enamel hearts.

I hope you're inspired to give recipe scrapbooking a try for your family favorites!  Be sure to check out all the Eyelet Outlet cooking themed products to fancy up your pages, too!

Trick or Treat

There are few things more adorable, in my (Lauren's) opinion, than tiny children dressed up for Halloween; unless it's tiny MONSTAS wearing Eyelet Outlet Brads as part of their disguise!

The Yeti, Dragon and Unicorn from Taylored Expressions' Mythical Grumplings stamp set are seemingly already at the top end of cuteness, but then I decided to give them (from left to right) a Witch Hat and Wand from the Wizard Set; a Men's Hat and Mustache; and Groucho Eye Glasses. A Pumpkin Brad and a Frog complete the scene, which turned into the world's fastest shaker card thanks to a set of nested oval dies and some EO Star and Pumpkin Sequins

loves all holidays that feature candy!

Let's Get Baked with Eyelet Outlet Gingerbread & Baking Embellishments!

Hello Ai fans! I'm just not able to stop Christmas crafting so I guess I give up! I'm going to keep throwing in a Christmas card or two each month until the big day arrives!

I started this card by cutting the doily and phrases for this card with a file in Cricut Design Space. I cut the doily in a beige cardstock but decided to ink it up with Vintage Photo Distress Ink to give it a more "baked" look. I sprayed the inked doily with Glitter Dust and white iridescent spray. As it dried, I covered a 6 x 6 card panel with black and gold foil washi tape. On the doily, I placed the words and inserted the brads from the Gingerbread Set and the Baking Set. Then I glued the doily to the washi panel. To finish the card, I placed several different sizes of Black Pearl Bling on the card.

Thanks for stopping by today. Remember, it's never too early for a good baking!

Do you have a friend you're grapeful for?!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a fun friendship/thank you card featuring our Grape Brads, Purple Foil Washi Tape, Pink Foil Washi Tape and Green Jewel Bling! I'm such a sucker for pun-y sentiments and this one rates right up there, lol!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from white cardstock along with a layering panel from dark purple cardstock, rounded all four corners, and adhered the purple panel to the card base. Using a mini cover plate die, I cut panels from lime green and white cardstock, placed strips of Purple Foil Washi Tape alternating with strips of Pink Foil Washi Tape on the green panel so they'll show through the dashed apertures, and then adhered the white panel on top. I added several Grape Brads and adhered the piece to the card front. I added the sentiment and Green Jewel Bling to complete the front of the card.

I cut the inside panel from white cardstock and embellished it with strips of lime, white and dark purple cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in green ink and layered the panel on the purple cardstock.

Fall Banner

Eyelet Outlet brads aren't just for paper-crafting!  Today I have a cute home decor project for you.

I created this fall banner for my home on my Cricut Maker.  The Maker and rotary blade cut all the burlap and felt for the project flawlessly.  For the layered felt elements, I ironed fusible webbing to the back of the felt and removed the paper liner before cutting the images with the Maker. Then I steamed ironed the layers together.

Eyelet Outlet has so many great fall and Halloween themed brads and adding them to my burlap pendants was super easy.  Since the weave is quite loose, I didn't even have to make holes for the prongs to fit through.

The brads I used for this project were the pumpkins, leaves, scarecrow, lollipop, and candy corn.

If you've used Eyelet Outlet brads for any of your home decor projects, we'd love to see, so be sure and tag us on Instagram!

Inkbox Gothic

It's always fun to try new formats and lately I (Lauren) have been seeing a lot of 3x3" square "inkbox" cards which I thought might be the perfect size and shape for showing off some of my favorite Eyelet Outlet Halloween Brads.

Technically, inkbox cards are meant to have rounded corners (I believe they're called inkbox because they're the size and shape of a Distress Ink Pad) but this time I (literally) played it straight! I paired some fun little sentiment stickers in purple, orange and a sort of mushroom shade with coordinating torn scraps of patterned paper, then added Bat BradsSpiders and Mini Spider Brads, a Witch Hat and a Pumpkin. I love how these came out and can't wait to make a few more!

Brewing Up a Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone and happy Sunday! Today I have a card that's toad-ally fun! Lots of people tell me they don't like scary Halloween. This one is nothing but cute and cuddly - or as much as a toad can be in his cauldron bath tub!

I started this project by stamping and coloring the frog and the cauldron and then I fussy cut it out. I cut the orange and purple ovals using dies and arranged the pieces on them. Then I added the faucet, frog and soap brads to further set the scene. I used Swirl Bling and Fancy Long Pearl & Jewel Bling to add smoke and bubbles. Once the rest of the mats were in place, I added a web sticker and a Mini Spider Brad dangling off the corner web.

A Donut Thank You!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! The Saturdays sure seem to be rolling around quickly these days! Leslie here, sharing a donut-themed thank you card featuring our Donut Brads, Donut Washi Tape and Light Pink Enamel Dots! I LOVE these brads and coordinating washi tape - they make such fun cards!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base and layering panel from white cardstock. I embellished the layering panel with alternating stacked strips of light and medium pink cardstock, and Donut Washi Tape between each strip. I stamped the sentiment on the next to the last strip in brown ink, added three Donut Brads, and then adhered the panel to the card base. I added some Light Pink Enamel Dots to complete the card front.

I cut the inside panel from white cardstock and embellished it with a strip of Donut Washi Tape and a strip of medium pink cardstock, stamped the sentiment in brown ink and layered the panel on the medium pink cardstock.

Tanks a Lot!

Today I have a fun little thank you card for you. I created the aquarium with a basic rectangle shape, some foam tape, and an acetate window.

Inside the aquarium I've used some Eyelet Outlet fish brads and a sandcastle brad. I hope the recipient enjoys receiving it as much as I enjoyed making it.

If you'll be in the central Texas area this weekend,September 10-11,  I hope you'll make plans to attend the Creating Keepsakes Convention in San Marcos and visit the Eyelet Outlet booth! I just might pop in, too!

Fall is Fun

Technically, autumn will not begin until September 21st, but as soon as the kiddos head back to school, it seems like we all shift gears into "Fall Mode" doesn't it? So this seems like a good time to break out a few Eyelet Outlet Pumpkin Brads, some beautiful Sunflowers and even a sweet little Fox!

I chose my colors from the truck, which I fussycut from an autumn-themed journal card. I diecut long, leafy flower stems out of a few shades of green to compose my sunflower field and added some Black Jewels to the hubcaps. The woodgrain mat was made by carefully lining up strips of Wood Washi along each edge of my pre-cut white cardstock layer, and letting them overlap at the corners.

Wedding Dress Bliss

Fall wedding season is upon us. I've been seeing quite a few posts from friends who are attending weddings across the country. It inspired me to use the Wedding Washi Tape I've been hoarding a little (it's just so pretty!). The washi is wide and has six different retro bridal gowns on a white background. I picked two of my favorites to put on this card.

I cut a wide piece of white cardstock with two lace edge dies and then placed the washi tape in the center. This creates a super border piece for the card. I used a heavily embossed cardstock I've had in my stash for a while for the background. I made a wedding gown die cut and hung it on one of the Wooden Hanger Brads. I often see this brad used for casual clothes but it looks great with this elegant dress too. After attaching the sentiment strip and word, I added Clear Sequins and Pearl Bling from the store. I love how this turned out. I don't have any wedding coming up but this will be awesome to have in my stash for bridal showers that I'm sure will be coming.

Thanks for stopping by today. For those of you in the USA, enjoy the long holiday weekend! See you next week.

Inspirational Note Card with a Nautical Feel!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a cool inspirational note card with a nautical feel featuring our Anchor Brads, Ship Wheel Brads, Anchor Washi Tape and Black Enamel Dots! These brads and washi tape are the 'the bomb' - I love using coordinating products!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from white cardstock along with layering panels from brown and white cardstock. I covered just a tad more than half of the white panel with Anchor Washi Tape, cut it off at an angle and adhered it to the brown panel, and added a narrow white cardstock strip at the angled edge. I stamped the sentiment in gold ink and then brown ink over top of the gold for a pretty brown shimmer. I cut the sentiment with a stitched circle die and adhered it to the panel. I added randomly-placed Anchor Brads and Ship Wheel Brads, and adhered the panel to the card base. I then added a few Black Enamel Dots to complete the front.

I cut the inside panel from white cardstock and embellished it with a strip of Anchor Washi Tape and a narrow strip of brown cardstock, and layered the panel on brown cardstock. Since this is a note card, I left the inside panel blank, leaving plenty of room to write a custom message.

Hello GOURDgeous!

Here's a fun little card that will brighten the day of someone you love and it's perfect for fall.

The patterned paper on this card is digital paper from Clover & Lilly's Etsy shop.  It's a 10 patterned set called, "Autumn Reverie." I separated the two patterns with a few strips of coordinating skinny washi tape and added some of the popular pumpkin brads from Eyelet Outelet.

Hope all of you are having a wonderful day and enjoying some crafty time.

Back to School!

This seems like an especially significant Back to School season, so I (Lauren) thought I'd make a nice big slimline card with some of my favorite school-themed Eyelet Outlet Brads.

School Bus Brads are one of my all-time favorite designs, so I'm always excited to use one prominently. I've also added a Book Brad (in the colorful variant, rather than the more neutral; each pack has both), a laptop from the Computer and Headphones set, an Apple Brad and... mostly because they are the right color and size... some Mini Ladybug Brads

wishes you a happy
Back to School season!
