February Calendar Planning

Welcome February, the month of love! "Let all you do be done in love." 1 Corinthians 16:14

In my effort to be more organized in 2024, I am sharing my calendar pages for February! I am finding I enjoy planning so much more when the pages are colorful and creative!

I began with stamping my various hearts and valentine themed stamps in a variety of pink and red inks! Next, I added my "Happy Valentine's Day" washi tape and vintage rose patterned washi to my pages. Lastly, I embellished with heart brads, heart enamel dots, and pink jewel dots.

I am excited to stay on track and write in my plans for February! I hope this inspires you to keep planning your 2024 and stay organized in a creative way!

Sweet as Cherries

Still preparing for Valentines Day and almost have all my cards
to send to the senior living center. This is a cute one featuring
the fabulous cherry brads from Eyelet Outlet. I had the stamp from
Unity Stamps and they worked great with the embellishments.

I used a circular card and placed multi dot washi paper in the
background. I also had these fun heart sticky gems
from Eyelet Outlet. They add a great
sparkly touch.

You Rock!

Today I've made a valentine that celebrates the rocker. This card is shaped like a vinyl record. The jacket is decorated with Record Brads and Music Note Brads. The patterned background is created with strips of Music Washi and Instrument Washi Tape.

Inside the decorated record jacket, a record shaped card is decorated with Heart Enamel Shapes. Inside the card, I added an additional strip of Music Washi Tape for some extra interest.

This card was cut with a pattern from the Silhouette Store. It was easy to make and super cute!

Salt Shaker Floral Arrangement

Ok…so I know Christmas was only a month ago, but Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it. I'm sure a lot of you are like me and love getting and giving flowers but they are just so expensive and they only last a week or so. It's always sad when they wilt and I have to pitch them in the trash. Kinda depressing, if you ask me.

I created the perfect flower arrangement that not only cost waaaay less than real flowers, these ones will last forever! No more having to pitch dead daffodils, lackluster lilies, raunchy roses or mushy marigolds (that was fun...lol 😊).

I shopped my house for the things I needed to make this like some paper straws, floral wire, heart shaped confetti and misc. buttons.  You know the ones that you keep…just in case. The only thing I didn’t have was a salt shaker so I headed to the Dollar store and grabbed one. You’d be surprised at how many fun things you can find if you shop your house.

This was such an easy project to do and didn’t require me to shop all the craft stores for supplies. With some of Eyelet Outlets love themed brads and bling, I had everything I needed. I ended up using several different colored hearts from the Heart Brads and two beautiful pink and red Rose Brads. To add sparkle, and you know I Iove me some sparkle, I added a Hot Pink Pearl Brad, a Red 12mm Jewel Brad, and two red Stippled Brads (12mm and 16mm).

So, if you feel like mixing it up a bit this Valentine’s Day, make your own flower arrangement. With embellishments from EO and a few things laying around your house, you can create this too!  I mean, who wouldn’t smile ear to ear if they received this?!?!?

Have a wonderful week and always be STRATE-UP CRAFTY!

Punny Funny Valentines

Punny cards are my favorite cards!  I've been creating a few punny Valentine cards this week. I've made similar versions in the past, but these have a bit of a fresh twist to them.

The alien brad is always a good one for conveying that your Valentine is "Out of this World""  I embellished his little space ship with some small white heart brads and red stick on gems.  Our enamel hearts are available in lots of colors and the green one matched my alien perfectly!

Again, enamel hearts are added to give some texture and interest, but the star of the show is our amazing wide grass washi tape!  I love this stuff!

I'll have a few more punny Valentine cards for you next week, so be sure to stop by!

Bee My Valentine!

I love creating little Valentine gifts for friends and family! Here is a quick and fun way to show some love with a small gift!

I started with creating the largest tag on white cardstock and adding heart stamps, distress inks, "Happy Valentine's Day" glitter washi, and pink and red enamel hearts. I saved some room in the middle to write a little note. I then cut a smaller tag in red and added some pink hearts stamped, along with more "Happy Valentine's Day" glitter washi and enamel hearts. Next, I created my smallest tag, stamping the cute bee image, coloring in with markers, adding some prisma glitter, and embellishing with  my little bee brads. Lastly, I used a hole punch to connect all 3 tags and attached a tube of Chapstick with pink and red ribbons!

I hope this inspires you to shop all the adorable Valentine themed products at Eyelet Outlet and create some personal Valentine's for your friends and family!

Peaceful Camping Scene

It's going to be several months before a scene like this can be reality. The cold makes me think of warmer days and nights like this one. I love camping when the sky is dark but glittering with stars and the shadows of the forest seem mystical and a bit magical.

This card was made from a file from the Silhouette Design Store. Once I printed and cut it, I cut it again with inside out scallop dies so that I could get this pretty framing effect. To make this printed scene even better, I added a Campfire and a Lantern Brad from the Camping Brad set. The cooler is from the Cooler and Soda Brad set. Finally I added some clear jewels over some of the bulbs in the printed hanging lights. The effect all together is very pretty.

EASY.QUICK.SIMPLE.

I can’t be the only one that forgets to send a Thank You card now and again only to find out the intended recipient is stopping by in a few minutes to say hi. AHHHH!! That happened to me today and I put together the cutest Thank You card in under 30 minutes and the recipient loved it and thought I spent hours on it…little did she know.  😊

I grabbed some Flower Petal Washi Tape and a few pearls from the Pearl Bling Sheets and off I went. I first drew three lines down the side of the card with a black marker.  I then cut out several of the flowers from the washi tape and pop dotted them to the face of the card on the lines I drew.  I added some pearls, drew some cute little bows, and finished it off by adding a nice little sentiment and voila…a simple yet sweet thank you card in minutes!

Easy. Quick. Simple. Thanks to Eyelet Outlet, this card was Easy. Quick. Simple.

Dragon Birthday Greetings

Hi everyone! I'm here today to share a little magic on a cold winter's day. Isn't this dragon adorable? As soon as I saw the die, I knew that I could really up the cuteness even more by adding some great products from Eyelet Outlet!

This is a top fold, A2 base card in a bright blue. I cut the dragon out of purple and white cardstock and pieced him together. What's super cute about him is that he's made so that his body hangs on a brad so that the body can swing back and forth. Super fun! I embossed the blue mat and highlighted the embossing around the edges with Oxide Ink.

After putting the dragon together, I put a Stitched Flower Brad in his arms. I put a Crown Brad on his head and a couple Fairy Brads that hover around him. That's because every dragon should have some fairies and wear a crown right? The best part was adding Eye Brads to really give him some personality! Finally I added a Happy Birthday Brad. I felt it still needed a little something so I added white dots to the background and white highlights on the dragon.

Valentine Decor

The autumn decor was replaced by the Christmas decor, but when that was all put away for the season, my home was looking a bit plain, so it was time to create a bit of Valentine decor.

As I often do, I turned to felt crafting on my Cricut Maker.  The rotary blade cuts even the most intricate designs flawlessly.  But when I added a few products from Eyelet Outlet to my design, it really took my Valentine banner over the top!

The large heart bling stick on on the two end pendants of my banner added the sparkle I was needing and the green leaf brads added a pop of color and interest to my felt flowers.  I loved adding that tiny heart brad to the tip of Cupid's arrow, too!

Snowy Winter Birthday Wishes!

Do you have family and friends with winter birthdays? Here's a fun, cheery snowman that is sure to brighten their special day!

After stamping my snowman and coloring him in with markers, I used an exacto knife to cut slits around him to place my "happy" banner. Next, I added some white glitter washi for snow and a couple snowflake brads. I added the birthday banner to the bottom and embellished with colorful balloon brads and party hats for a festive birthday card! Creating with washi tape and brads from Eyelet Outlet make card creating easy and fun!

The Perfect Valentine

Yes, Valentines Day is just around the corner and I
am trying to catch up and get my cards made
for friends and family. This is, of course, made
easier with the adorable embellishments from Eyelet Outlook.

First I have this cute cat with his Valentine ballon. I added the heart
Quicklet eyelets -- Love these because they are so easy to apply. You just
need a pen. I also added some spring brads that I used to
add to the pink theme.

I always love to add a little washi tape - especially if it has some
glitter on it to add some fun sparkle.

Here is your shopping list from Eyelet Outlet:
Heart Lock Quicklets
Spring Mix Brads
Glitter Washi Tape

See you next Monday and keep creating!

The New Eyelet Outlet Spring Jewelry Collection!

We all know that Eyelet Outlet has tons of brads, bling and embellishments that help us jazz up our cards and paper crafts, but did you know that you could also use their pretties to make unique one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry to go with literally any occasion or theme? When it comes to creating something, I seem to think outside the box quite a bit and this is a perfect example.

I decided to try and make some jewelry pieces that I can wear throughout the year using Eyelet Outlet washi tapes, bling, as well as brads.

Introducing Eyelet Outlets Jewelry Collection (not really – but fun to say 😊).

 ❅❅❅ The Snowflake Set ❅❅❅
The first set I made is a winter inspired pendant with matching wintery earrings.

The pendant is made from three Snowflake Brads, and two clear Jewel Bling. I put them all in a pendant tray and layered some jewelry glaze/glue on top and then sprinkled glitter to give extra sparkle and shine.

The matching earrings are also made with Snowflake Brads which are also covered with the jewelry glaze. I will be able to wear these throughout the winter season and I the best part is I know that no one else will have these because they are one-of-a-kind.

🥀🥀🥀 The Spring Flower Set ðŸ¥€ðŸ¥€ðŸ¥€
With spring coming up soon, I wanted to make a few pieces that I will be able to wear once the weather starts to warm up. I ended up making three spring inspired sets for the season.

The first spring set are the Spring Flower pieces. I made the pendant using a silver pendant tray and cut out a beautiful flower from the Flower Washi Tape – which I just noticed is out of stock but there are so many other beautiful options available. I placed my cutout from the washi tape into the pendant tray, layered a small amount of jewelry glaze on top and then placed a clear glass cabochon to finish off the pendant.

The matching spring earrings are made using the Colored Daisy Brads.  I removed the clasps and added flat back earring posts onto the back of the brad. I then added different gems and a Clear Jewel Bling to add a bit more color and movement to the earrings. I love these and cannot wait to wear them!

🦋🦋🦋 The Butterfly Set  ðŸ¦‹ðŸ¦‹ðŸ¦‹
One of my favorite parts of spring are all the amazing butterflies that come to visit. This next set was made with them in mind.

I made the pendant the same way I made the spring flower pendant but instead of a flower, I cut out a beautiful butterfly from the Butterfly Washi Tape.

The earrings are made very similar to the earrings made for the spring flower set except I used the Butterfly Brads as the base. I removed the prongs and glued flat back earring posts to the butterflies. Turned out super cute and very unique!

🦋🦋🦋 The Tulip Set  ðŸ¦‹ðŸ¦‹ðŸ¦‹
My all-time favorite flower is the tulip so of course I needed to make a set that featured them.

The pendant is made the same way as the two others above except I cut of the tulips from the Floral Square Washi Tape.

For the earrings, I wanted to keep them simple and cute, so I took two of the Leaf Brads, removed their prongs and glued on flat back posts to the back and now I have the perfect matching earrings for my tulip pendant.

💮💮💮 The Blue Hydrangea Set  ðŸ’®ðŸ’®ðŸ’®
Last but definitely not least and probably my favorite set is the Blue Hydrangea set. I can almost smell them just but looking at these pictures.

I selected my favorite hydrangea from the Flower Washi Tape-Wide and created the pendant the same way as the others.

The earrings turned out extra awesome – IMO.  I had several earring bases in my jewelry making supplies and the Bumpy Jewel Heart Bling fit absolutely perfect into the heart shaped base! Like they were meant to be together. I glued them into the earring base and set them aside to dry.

I wore these yesterday to the grocery and got several compliments on both pieces. Ladies were asking me where I purchased them. I was beyond excited to tell them that I made them myself and explained how easy the process was to make them. They were shocked and excited to try it out themselves.

So, now you know you can always use your Eyelet Outlet products for your usual crafting fun but if you want to try something a bit different, just think outside the box just a little and the sky is the limit on what to create with little imagination and Eyelet Outlet embellishments.
