For The Record

For the record, I think all the Eyelet Outlet products are great, but I've always been attracted to our vinyl record brads. There are 45's (small ones) and LP's (bigger ones) in the package and of course, they pair great with our music note brads.

It was quite a few years ago, but I fondly remember my first record player which looked a lot like the one I've used on this card.  This one is a Cricut image and so is the neat little border that I thought looked like records.  I substituted the 'O' in the text with one of the record brads and added a few more along side the record player and a few music note brads finished it off nicely.

Hoppy Easter, Everybunny!

Eyelet Outlet Pastel Rabbit Brads are one of my (Lauren's) favorite styles for Easter, and... they're on sale! I love how the five colorful bunnies add instant interest to my card, and how well they pair with the shades of EO Bright Stitched Flowers and Minis (the latter are also on sale!Heart Brads and colorful Enamel Dots.

I used two sizes of circle punches to frame each Rabbit Brad with a few flowers, dots and hearts; but this design would work equally well with ChicksBrown RabbitsColored Eggs, or pretty much ANY Eyelet Outlet brad style you love!

favorite Easter candies are
Zittner's Butter Krak Eggs
(oddly named but delicious!)

I Just Wet My Plants!

Hello everyone. It's Sunday and that means it's my turn to bring you a card to inspire you as you begin the new week. Here in the Carolinas, spring has definitely made itself at home. The sun is out, the air is warmer and the pollen is out! Too bad about the pollen. I sneezed today 9 times in a row! It's a new record and not a good sign for the weeks ahead. It's the price you pay for being in a place with so many trees and bushes.

Since I was thinking of spring, I figured I'd whip up a little gardening inspiration. I don't garden anymore but it's fun to reminisce. On this card I used a Darice embossing folder to create a mason jar background. I colored and cut the man and woman gardener and added a few brads. Can you spot them? The Mustache Brad fits this fella just perfectly. So cute right? The lady is holding two of the Garden Tools Brads. In the sky we have a Funky Bee Brad and a Butterfly Brad. And as the card says, I got so excited I wet my plants! Ha ha!

SHOPPING LIST:
Funky Bee Brads
Butterfly Brads
Garden Tools Brads
Mustache Brads

Hot Pink Flower Cart Box Card!

Hey everybody! I hope you had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a pretty flower cart box card created with my Scan N Cut that could be used for a birthday, encouragement or even Mother's Day that's coming up month after next! This card features our Color Daisy Brads, White Daisy Brads and Sunflower Brads, along with our Pink Jewel Bling and Enamel Stars! This was definitely a fun one!

I cut the flower cart card base from white cardstock, the cart layering panels from hot pink cardstock, the cart wheels from brown cardstock, the leaves from green cardstock, and the flower pots from metallic orange cardstock. The Color Daisy Brads, White Daisy Brads and Sunflower Brads made up the little clusters of flowers in the pots. I embellished the canopy with our Pink Jewel Bling and adhered white Enamel Stars to the wheels.

I stamped a sentiment from the STAMPlorations Beautiful You stamp set in Memento Rose Bud ink and adhered the sentiment panel to the back of the cart. I punched several 1/2" circles and adhered them to the backs of the flower clusters to hide the brad prongs.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Hippity Hoppity...

...Easter's on its way! But there's still time to make some super-easy cards by adding Eyelet Outlet Rabbit BradsColored Eggs, and Chicks to store-bought Easter-themed journal cards. But first, let's make them even more appealing by adding mats of plaid patterned paper adorned with EO Flower Washi Tape.

I (Lauren) often use Eyelet Outlet Washi Tape as a background or a border, but sometimes it's fun to use it to alter/enhance a store-bought patterned paper, like this fun plaid. I built my strips of Flower Tape right into the existing design and I love the result!

I'm always on the lookout for products which pair well with brads, and these adorable journal cards match the colors and size of EO Colored Egg BradsChicksSun and Cloud BradsMini Butterflies and of course the handsome Rabbit Brads very well.

Stay tuned for more Easter ideas from the design team, right here on the Eyelet Outlet Blog!

This image is already a great card front but it is made even more awesome with brads and pearl bling from the store. It's so quick and easy to make a card go from good to great with help from Eyelet Outlet.

Cherry Blossom Birthday Card

Hey everybody! Hope you had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a pretty birthday card featuring our Female Cardinal Brads, Bluebird & Robin Brads and Mini Butterfly Brads! I cut the cherry blossoms on my Scan N Cut and they fit perfectly on this mini slimline card with very little edge trimming needing to be done.

I started by cutting the cherry blossom pieces from brown, light pink and medium pink cardstock, and assembling it. I cut a 3-1/2" x 6" mini slimline base from 110# white cardstock along with a pink textured layering panel. I adhered the cherry blossoms to the textured layering panel and stamped the sentiment in brown ink in the lower left corner. I added the Female Cardinal Brads, a Bluebird & Robin Brad and a Mini Butterfly Brad, and adhered the panel to the card base.

I cut the inside panel from 80# white cardstock, stamped the sentiment in brown ink and layered the panel on the pink textured cardstock used on the front.

Fun & Functional

Until recently I've primarily been a paper crafter with a passion for Eyelet Outlet embellishments, but lately I've turned to felt crafting with my Cricut Maker. That doesn't mean I've left my Eyelet Outlet embellishments behind though!  I'm finding many ways to incorporate them into my felt crafts.

Today I've got a couple of glasses cases I created from felt to show you.  First, here's my reading zebra case. The cute front/back zebra image is from Cricut Design Space and he's cut from iron on vinyl.

I actually had one of these completed when my husband said, "I bet your Eyelet Outlet glasses brad would look good on him."  He was right and I couldn't wait to hit the craft room and make another one!
By the way, we have a couple of different styles and colors of glasses as well as sunglasses at Eyelet Outlet.

Here's another style glasses case I made with my Cricut Maker. To attach the flower and flower pot to the case, I used fusible webbing on the felt.  I iron it onto the felt, peel off the paper backing, then cut the images with the Maker and iron the assembled pieces in place with a damp pressing cloth.

Here I've added Eyelet Outlet mini bee brads and a round pink brad for the center of the flower.  It's important when adding brads to this project that your glasses case be a double thickness of felt so that the prongs of the brads are sandwiched between the layers of felt and won't come in contact with your eye glasses.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope I've inspired you to find fun new ways to use Eyelet Outlet products.

Going Green!

It's the day before Saint Patrick's Day, so this seems like a good time to "Go Green" with two styles of Eyelet Outlet Washi Tape (Green Pattern Tape and Green Dot Washi) and a scattering of Round Sequins; not to mention a green Paper Flower that's been cut apart into two-petal sections and pieced back together into the shape of a four leaf clover!

Wishing you a very Happy Saint Patrick's Day, and good luck all year long!

Gold on Black Thank You Card

Hey everybody! I hope you had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a a pretty thank you card featuring our Gold Skinny Washi Tape and Black Pearl Bling! I did the bleaching technique on the stamped image on the front of this card and used a lighter-weight 80# cardstock this time (versus 100# cardstock I've used in the past) which yielded a sort of mottled effect that I thought looked really cool and added some texture.

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base and layering panel from black cardstock along with a gold metallic foil layering panel. I applied strips of our Gold Skinny Washi Tape in a diagonal fashion across the black cardstock panel (eyeballed it... didn't measure) and then adhered it to the gold metallic foil panel and then to the card base. I stamped the floral image in Versamark and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I painted the image with a brush and household bleach, and then used brushmarkers to color the bleached areas of the image. I die cut the image with the coordinating die set and adhered it to three more plain die cuts for a little dimension, and adhered the piece to the card front. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark on a scrap piece of the black cardstock and heat embossed it in gold, trimmed it, and adhered it to the card front with thin black foam squares. To finish off the front, I added some Black Pearl Bling

I cut the inside panel from light yellow cardstock and embellished it with a strip of Gold Skinny Washi Tape and two narrow strips of black cardstock. I stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) in black ink and layered the panel on the gold metallic foil cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Rainbow Brad Book (Part 3 of 3)

It's the final chapter in my Eyelet Outlet Rainbow Brad Book, and while there isn't a big plot twist or anything, there are some great colors, like Yellow, Black, White and Red!

YELLOW turned out to have LOTS of great brad styles, like Emotion Brads, a Party HatWork TrucksLightbulbs (they're on sale!), a Colored Daisy, a Sun Brad, a Classic Car, a School Bus, a Mini Bee Brad, a Peppermint Candy and some very cool Tape Measure Washi.

BLACK is a great place to use my favorite Music Washi, not to mention Eye Glass Brads, a Graduation Hat, a Bicycle Brad, a sweet Puppy and Paw Print, a Zebra, a Cow, the fun Video Game setMovie Brads, a Spider and a Bat.

I was surprised to discover how many awesome choices of brad are WHITEKitten BradsToilet PaperClouds, another Cow (I couldn't decide if the Cows were more black or more white, so I added one to each page, lol!), a HeartSneaker and Water Bottle Brads, a Chicken with both Egg and Fried Egg Brads, a Ghost, some Eye Brads and a Skull. I used some Gold Script Washi as my tape for this page.

Finally, the color RED belongs at the beginning of the spectrum, and has been placed at the front of the completed book, but it was the final page I worked on. Below a strip of Red Dot Tape, it boasts Cardinal and Cardinal Profile BradsFirst Responders, the Apple set, a Mini Ladybug. a VacuumBoat and Lighthouse Brads, an AnchorCoffeeHoliday Coffee and Iced Coffee, plus our handsome Crab and Lobster.

Once I had all the pages complete, I placed them in (more or less) spectrum order. This shot doesn't really show the brads, but I love that because the page frames are solid cardstock in coordinating shades you get a great preview of all the colors by looking at the top of the book:

I hope you'll visit the Eyelet Outlet Blog often, to see what all of our amazing designers are up to!

loves all the colors
(and all the brads) equally!

NEW!! Shaker Shapes Are In the Store!!

Hi everyone. It's Janet here with a fun birthday card made with some new heart shaped shakers that are new in the store. I love these shakers because they are ready to go. I popped these securely on my card with glue dots as I didn't want any adhesive to show through when the card is shaken. Double sided tape could also be used to attach these to your projects as well.

I used Copic Sketch markers to write the rainbow make a wish statement and added Rainbow Pride Washi Tape as a border below. Dies were used to cut a heart and circles that fit the hearts on the white card panel and put a strip of rainbow paper behind as a backdrop to the shakers. Some Candle Brads and Balloon Brads-Bright make this a festive and fun birthday card.

Take a peak at some of the available shapes at the store. These vary in size but are perfect to pop on cards, gift bags and more! Here we have (left to right) Stars, Flowers, Large Hearts, Small Hearts, and Butterflies. There are also Rabbit Shakers (not pictured) which are a must have for decorating cards, bags, boxes and baskets for Easter! This makes it so fast and fun to add a shaker element to your projects.

Thanks for stopping by today. Please be sure to check out the new shakers in the store. You're going to love them!

Cactus & Flamingo Friendship Card

Hey everybody! I hope you had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a cool friendship card featuring our Cactus & Flamingo Wide Washi Tape, Flamingo Brads and Pink Jewel Bling! This was such an easy and fun design that could easily be mass-produced to create several to give as a boxed gift!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from white linen cardstock along with a layering panel from a magenta cardstock. I applied the Cactus & Flamingo Wide Washi Tape and several Flamingo Brads to the bottom of the magenta panel, rounded the top left and bottom right corners, and adhered the panel to the card base. I added a narrow strip of white linen cardstock along with a sentiment strip. The finishing touch was adding some Pink Jewel Bling

The inside of this card is slightly different - with a pink panel rather than white - which I thought created some interest. So I cut the inside panel from the magenta cardstock, rounded the top left and bottom right corners, and added a Flamingo Brad and another sentiment strip.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Felt Easter Banner

Lately I've been doing a lot of felt crafting with my Cricut Maker and I've found that Eyelet Outlet products pair so beautifully with felt my projects.  The texture of the felt as well as the fantastic dimension that the brads and bling bring to the project really is amazing.

Today I have a felt Easter banner for you.

This project was made entirely of felt and images in Cricut Design Space and embellished with the following Eyelet Outlet products:
