Heard You Caught a Bug

It's that season - fall harvest hits many people hard. Sneezing. Coughing. What makes a person feel better? Well, homemade chicken noodle soup, for one thing.... but also a fun Get Well card.

Cardinal at the Window

Eyelet Outlet has a new bird in the flock and he's a beauty!  Now we have a companion cardinal for our original cardinal brad.

I thought they'd look so lovely together on this window card from Anna's Window Ledge Cards.

This is a close up of our new cardinal (left facing).

And here's our original cardinal (right facing).

If you're in the Denver, Colorado area, stop in and see us at the Scrapbook Expo this weekend!

It's Fall, Y'all!

I'm not sure that's possible, but my (Lauren's) calendar indicates we are into the LAST week of September somehow? This seems like a good time for some fall cards, especially since the new Scarecrow Brads have just made their debut in the Eyelet Outlet Store!

Here's a shocking true confession: I don't actually like scarecrows!!! But these Scarecrow Brads are so adorable, they've even won me over! Something else I realized as I sat down to make my first card... I had never used the Tractor Brads that came out in the spring release. So this seemed like a good time to remedy that. I like the way the Pumpkin Brad looks super huge when it's placed on the trailer. Just goes to show you what a good job those scarecrows did over the summer! I found some plaid patterned paper with exactly the right colors and diecut the word "FALL" from cardstock I had covered with this awesome Sparkle Copper Tape.

My second card features handcut letters from scraps of that plaid paper. But of course you could use stickers, diecuts or computer-generated text. The oversized text gave me so much extra room I was able to include all the brads from the first card PLUS a trio of Sunflower Brads! Oh and you'll notice that there are two color variations in the Tractor Brads!

My third card shows off the Sunflower Brads again, as well as another pumpkin, two varieties of Paper Flowers and some fun Hardwood Floor Tape; not to mention letters diecut from Script Washi.

Remember that there are lots of brand new projects from the Design Team each and every week. Stop by the EO Blog often to be inspired! ♥

A Snowy Night

Snowy scenes are some of my favorites - on cards and even looking out my window in the wintertime. But please don't ask me to spend very much time outside in the cold. I'm a fair-weather gal - not too cold, not too hot either.

Creating snowy scenes in the comfort of my home is entirely acceptable, though.

I love LOVE that Eyelet Outlet now has two different coordinating Cardinal brads! The Cardinal Profile (the one on the right) is one of the brand new brads in the Eyelet Outlet store. The other Cardinal brad has been in the store for a while already.

Did you notice I included Snowflake brads and Rabbit brads to my card as well?

Eyelet Outlet has the best selection of brads!

Do Not Enter!

Good morning crafters!  Today I've got another Halloween card for you featuring Eyelet Outlet Cat Brads.

The moon scene is from printable background from Cricut's Halloween Night image set and the "Do Not Enter" gate is from the Mini Monster's image set. Then I topped the gate with 3 of the black cats from the Cat Brad set.

The package contains both black and white cats in three different poses.  This card was so quick and easy and I love the way the brads give it so much extra interest.

It's a CARD-inal!!! :)

The new Fall 2019 brads, bling and tapes are making their way into the Eyelet Outlet Store, and one of my (Lauren's) favorite new brads are the Profile Cardinals which are beautiful on their own but even nicer with the original Cardinal Brads. See?

I am a really big fan of the EO Paper Flowers, and the green ones have a special place in my heart because the petals make such beautiful leaves when you cut them apart! I used one small and one medium flower to augment my diecut branches.

I had so much fun making the first card that I decided to do a landscape version featuring the Bluebird and Robin Brads, just so they wouldn't feel left out!

I hope you'll have a chance to get outside today and see some birds in real life, but if not, the EO Store is here for you! ♥

Three Eyed Monster

I decided to play around a little with a shaped card today.  They are really pretty simple to make with Cricut Design Space!  For this monster shaped card I used a monster from the Autumn Celebrations image set.  I used Eyelet Outlet Small Eye Brads to really add some EYE POPPING interest to the font of my card!

To create the card base, I ungrouped the layers in the image and duplicated the bottom shadow layer.  I flipped the duplicated image vertically, then lined the two up until they just touched one another.

Then I selected both images and used the weld function to join them together.

I couldn't resist embellishing the inside of my card with a couple cute Eyelet Outlet Monster Brads!

I also used a drawn image from Cricut's Monster Icons & Printables image set to add my greeting.

School Days, School Days

It's that time of year, when the kiddos --and the teachers!-- in our lives are headed back to school. So I (Lauren) rounded up some of my favorite Eyelet Outlet goodies, including our fab new School Bus Brads, and made a couple of cards to cheer them on!

My first card was a happy accident. I had these fun Bella Boulevard chalk-board style papers, and I went looking in my washi stash for a school-themed tape to pair with them. It turns out I had quiiiiiite a few choices, lol. It was hard to decide, so I used ALL OF THEM! Heart TapeBook TapeRoad TapeMath TapeSkinny StripesTape Measure TapeSmiley FacesSkinny HeartsCrayon Tape and Skinny Plaid to be precise. Then I scattered matching brads around the card, including Emotion BradsStar BradsBus Brads, and Book Brads.

My second card has a bit less going on, lol. I've got an Apple Brad, an Eye Glass Brad, a Bus Brad driving along on Road Tape of course, and the bunting which comes in the same set of Skinny Tape as the rainbow stripes on the last card.

And since that concludes my post for today, class is dismissed! ♥

graduated quite a few years ago, but still
longs for new school supplies in September.

If you are a paper crafter,
you must love Eyelet Outlet products for your designs.
We have all sorts of hobbies and nature and animals.

Here I used the Yarn Brads for this card.

It's In My Jeans

I live in the midwest, where it's impossible to ignore farming. It's all around me. Cows. Corn fields. Barns. Grain elevators that reach to the sky.

This year hasn't been good to the farmers here. The rains came and came and came when they needed to be planting. Then when they finally got the crops in the fields, drought. It's yet to be determined what harvest will be like.

Even with the adversity, they don't give up. After all, farming is in their jeans genes.

Snow Much Fun!

It's still blazing hot here in Central Texas, so to cool off this week, I reached for my Eyelet Outlet Snowflake brads!  They are a must have for your holiday crafting!

For this card I used the Cricut Car Decals image set for the little skiers.  The sentiment is from Cricut Everyday's a Holiday image set, but I substituted an Eyelet Outlet Snowflake Brad for the "o".

Don't forget to shop our clearance section before you check out of Eyelet Outlet!  You'll find these great ski boots and skies and lots of other fun items!
