Design Team Monday, Introducing Barry Snarr

Hello Eyelet Outlet fans. Barry here today with my first post and I'm excited to share some cards I made with you.

But first I'd like to share a little bit about myself:

I live in Bellevue, Wa and I first actually started scrapbooking about 10 years ago and then added card making to the list.  I have always loved giving and receiving cards as a means of staying in touch with friends and family that are across the miles.  Giving a card and especially a one-of-a-kind homemade card to a friend or loved one is my way of saying "You are special, you are being thought about, you are loved".  My favorite thing about creating is seeing other people's cards and scrapbook pages and being inspired to create my own pieces of art!  I start my creating usually with the person in my mind that will be receiving the card, while other times it might be a quote or a special stamp or embellishment.  I received my first Eyelet Outlet product for winning a small card contest on a blog challenge about 5 years ago. I like to use Eyelet Outlet products because of the amount of diverse, relevant and on trend Eyelet outlet products are.  My other hobbies include, line dancing (I love C&W music), Broadway musicals (I was a musical theatre singer and dancer for many years), Movies (I love the comic book movies the most, ie Captain America, The Avengers etc.) and I am friend and chew toy to my cat "Diego" who is a lovely black and white tuxedo cat.

My first card, "Hello Handsome" I created with small circles in my Silhouette software and cut out them out of vellum so that each mustache was highlighted. I used the font scotchtape to create the sentiment.

Simple? Yes, but doesn't it highlight the cute mustache brads?

Next up is...

"A Thousand Thanks" - This card uses the army men brads. I created the frame and border using the camouflage washi tape

Wouldn't this be a great appreciation card to send to
those that are serving our country?

Both of these cards came together quickly and use the brads I chose as their main focal point.

Thanks for stopping by today!
