Hello and happy Sunday! On the first day of a new week, I present a sweet bunny full of color and texture. This is a mandala style bunny made with six layers of cardstock stacked on top of each other. It was cut from a Cricut Design Space file.
While this is pretty, I thought that Eyelet Outlet's new Tulip Brads and Yellow Rose Brads would be beautiful as accents. I hope you agree they do take this bunny to the next level. Since this is a pretty thick piece, I used wire cutters to remove the brad prongs and applied them with hot glue. Sometimes I do this when it's not as practical to install them normally.
I used four new Tulip Brads at the tips of his ears and below his head. I used three new Yellow Rose Brads at his tail, in the middle of the flower on his body and his eye. I think these are fanciful accents that enhance this non-traditional project.
I also applied jewel bling and teardrop bling in several complementary colors on this rabbit. It adds a touch of shine and also complements the many different cardstock colors that were used.
While I could have converted this to a shaped card, it's big at over 8" tall. I opted instead to make an easel back and this guy is going to decorate my desk at work through Easter. I know I'm going to get many compliments on it!
Thanks for stopping by today. I'll see you next week but until then please visit the EO store for all your brads, washi tape, bling and paper flowers!
