Musical Thanks

Hello and Happy Easter! My card today is a musical themed thank you card. I play flute at my church and the church pianist helps me pick music and practices with me, mostly out of the goodness of her heart and love of music. I’m always looking for a musical themed card to thank her after each time I play. This one works perfectly and the EO brads and bling make it extra special.

By the way, be sure to visit the EO store. ALL bling is now $1 until it’s gone. Take advantage of great deals and get your bling now!

So back to the card. This is on an A2 metallic gold card base. I cut a grand piano and a piano keyboard with dies. I made a strip border with white cardstock and added Instrument Washi Tape as an accent. I embossed a white panel with a thanks themed folder, then placed the washi tape accent on top. The keyboard and piano die are placed and then I add the accents. First are the Music Note Brads. Then I added yellow rose brads. The finishing touches are the 12mm Clear Jewels and White Pearl Bling.

I love how this one turned out and I know my pianist will really appreciate this and will display it in her home. I can’t wait to give it to her!

Cheerful Spring Teacup

Some cards feel like little keepsakes the moment they come together, and this delicate square teacup card absolutely fits that description. It’s a charming blend of soft colors, layered textures, and—of course—plenty of Eyelet Outlet sparkle.

The foundation of the card is a rich dark purple square, which gives the entire design a sense of depth and elegance. On top of that sits a sunny yellow embossed mat. After embossing, the edges were inked and the raised areas brushed lightly to bring out the pattern. That subtle highlighting adds just the right amount of dimension without overwhelming the softer elements layered above it.

In the center of the card, a pink round doily creates a sweet, lacy backdrop. It softens the bold purple and yellow beneath it and sets the stage for the focal point: a lavender teacup. The teacup was stamped, colored, and fussy-cut before being placed on a small lace doily, giving it a delicate, almost porcelain-like presence.

This is where the magic happens. The teacup becomes a tiny garden thanks to a cluster of Eyelet Outlet embellishments:

The charming Eyelet Outlet embellishments transform the teacup into a miniature spring vignette, full of life and charm.

To ground the circular focal point, a large white-and-gold plaid bow sits at the bottom of the doily. It adds a soft, elegant flourish and ties the entire palette together beautifully.

This handmade card is a lovely example of how Eyelet Outlet brads and bling can elevate a simple stamped image into something truly special. It’s delicate, cheerful, and full of personality—perfect for sending a warm hello or a thoughtful note to someone who appreciates handmade beauty.

Yellow Roses

I'm sure you've heard the saying, "stop and smell the roses."  Well, when you're perusing the Eyelet Outlet web site, you're going to want to stop and BUY some roses! We have red, pink, and now our beautiful yellow roses are available.

I sliced a diamond shaped grid into the cardstock with my Cricut and added a window frame to it. I added some greenery and the yellow roses had a place to climb. I added a yellow enamel heart to the sentiment and this card is perfect for any occasion.

Roses in Bloom

There are few Spring sights prettier than roses, in full bloom, climbing up a trellis. If they're Eyelet Outlet Rose Brads and Yellow Rose Brads, climbing up a cardstock trellis, they are every bit as beautiful, far more mail-able, and completely non-allergenic! With extra wide Sky Washi and Brick Tape creating the background and green Leaf Brads clustered among the blooms, it's no wonder that some Mini Butterfly Brads have gathered to enjoy the scene.

Rejoice

Happy Easter to all those out there that celebrate it! My card today celebrates this most important day in the Christian calendar.

To make this A2 sized card, I first applied Egg Washi Tape on the edges of a white card base. I embossed blue cardstock with a floral pattern and die cut the two small and one large cross. I arranged them on the panel after I applied glimmer powder to parts of the flower. I also heat embossed the sentiment and cut it in an oval shape with a scalloped border.

Now all was ready to add the EO goodness! I arranged Rose and Yellow Rose Brads on the cross to create a pretty floral cluster. Below, I arranged Rabbit, Colored Eggs and Chick Brads. I tucked the sentiment in and the end result is a pretty and peaceful card to celebrate Easter.

Thanks for joining me here today. Please stop by the EO store for all your brad, washi tape, bling, and paper flower card making supplies.

Easter Treatings

Hello EO friends! I was tasked by our Sunday School teacher to come up with a treat box for the kids on Easter Sunday morning. This is what I created as my first box. It's a box pattern from Cricut Design Space. It's made to fit a Kinder Egg.

I knew the newest release brads from the store would be great on the box. I decorated the simple box with the new Tulip Brads, Yellow Rose Brads, and Mini Butterfly Brads. They make the box so cheerful and the metal brads add a special touch to it.

The bow on the box was also made with washi tape from the store. I covered both sides of white cardstock before cutting out the bow pieces. The technique allows me to create a bow with a pattern I didn't have in an actual ribbon or cardstock. I love how that worked out. Just know if you try this, you'll need some glue dots or strong double-sided adhesive to put it together. Wet glue will work but takes forever to dry since the washi tape is coated.

If you haven't checked out the new spring brads yet, please stop by the EO store to take a look. You'll also see cards that the design team has made with them. Keep your eyes peeled for additional cards using the new spring brad release. If you want to get the full story, just visit the most recent blog posts from the team. They are so creative and I promise they'll inspire you!

Wishing You Brighter Days!

Hello everyone! Today I share a card I had so much fun making. It features a cute image from Avery Elle that is several years old. It's always good to into your stash and pull out an oldie but a goodie like this one!

The dies are a variety of makers and are quite old also. Once I colored and cut out the bunny image and puddle, I stamped out the sentiment from the set and glued him and the sentiment on top of a large leaf die cut. I also cut the rainbow image and the flower frame. I arranged everything on a white card base. Then I added all the embellishments that make it go the next level. I added new Yellow Rose Brads at the top of the umbrella. Leaf Brads - Pastel were added above the roses. I used Sun and Cloud Brads on and near the rainbow. Finally I added Tear Drop Bling in blue which make perfect raindrops for this card.

I hope you enjoyed my card today. If you haven't checked out the new spring brads yet, please stop by the EO store to take a look. You'll also see cards that the design team has made with them. Keep your eyes peeled for additional cards using the new spring brad release. If you want to get the full story, just visit the most recent blog posts from the team. Welcome Spring!

Well, we're in mid-March, the time has changed, March Madness is starting soon, and it's getting a little warmer where I live. A few daffodils are blooming and the trees are starting to form buds. Whew! We're getting close to moving into full blown spring. Thank goodness!

Today I've made a 5 x 7 card to welcome the new season. I have used the new Tulip Brads as part of the banner on the balloon and the new Mini Butterflies trim the top of the balloon. I added the pretty Yellow Roses Brads on the basket. They really dress the balloon up a lot! I added Daisy Brads to adorn the banner. I also used Green Pattern Washi Tape to mat the card in a perfect green scroll design. Finally I added three blue jewels to the bottom of the balloon. I should also mention that this balloon pattern came from an image in Cricut Design Space.

If you haven't checked out the new spring brads yet, please stop by the EO store to take a look. You'll also see cards that the design team has made with them. Keep your eyes peeled for additional cards using the new spring brad release. If you want to get the full story, just visit the most recent blog posts from the team. Beautiful Mandala Bunny

Hello and happy Sunday! On the first day of a new week, I present a sweet bunny full of color and texture. This is a mandala style bunny made with six layers of cardstock stacked on top of each other. It was cut from a Cricut Design Space file.

While this is pretty, I thought that Eyelet Outlet's new Tulip Brads and Yellow Rose Brads would be beautiful as accents. I hope you agree they do take this bunny to the next level. Since this is a pretty thick piece, I used wire cutters to remove the brad prongs and applied them with hot glue. Sometimes I do this when it's not as practical to install them normally.

I used four new Tulip Brads at the tips of his ears and below his head. I used three new Yellow Rose Brads at his tail, in the middle of the flower on his body and his eye. I think these are fanciful accents that enhance this non-traditional project.

I also applied jewel bling and teardrop bling in several complementary colors on this rabbit. It adds a touch of shine and also complements the many different cardstock colors that were used.

While I could have converted this to a shaped card, it's big at over 8" tall. I opted instead to make an easel back and this guy is going to decorate my desk at work through Easter. I know I'm going to get many compliments on it!

Thanks for stopping by today. I'll see you next week but until then please visit the EO store for all your brads, washi tape, bling and paper flowers!

Happy Creating!

Happy Birthday Texas!

In honor of Texas Independence Day on March 2, I created a Texas themed banner featuring many Eyelet Outlet products. March 2nd is actually my birthday, too, but I'm not quite as old as Texas who will be celebrating 189 years!

I used a white star brad on the first pendant and our sunflower brads on the boots pendant. I was inspired to create this project by our soon-to-be-released yellow roses which I paired with a mini leaf brad, music note brad and yellow enamel heart.

I paired one of our cactus brads with a horse brad for the ranch pendant and added some heart brads for the next one. The great state of Texas is famous for our beautiful wild flowers. The flower washi tape I used on the background of the last pendant reminded me of our state flower, the bluebonnet.

Thanks for stopping by and helping me wish Texas a very happy birthday!
