Bloom For You Gift Tag

Hello Crafty Friends - Today I am sharing a gift tag I decorated with Eyelet Outlet embellishments.  Eyelet Outlet has fun products to decorate your projects.

I used a circle tag die to create the tag base.  Then I decorated with paper flowers in green, pink, purple, and yellow.  Tip - layer the paper flowers off center in each layer to create a fuller look.  And use a ball stylus to shape the paper flowers and give them dimension.  I put a clear jewel brad in the center to hold all the paper flowers together.  I embellished the perimeter of the tag with jewel strips in green.

Handmade gift tags elevate gift packaging and make the recipient feel special.  I look forward to putting this tag on a gift for a loved one.  Thank you for visiting the blog today.  I hope this inspires you to create a fun gift tag.  Please visit Eyelet Outlet for creative supplies and inspiration.

I stamped and colored these little images with pencils. Then I drew in stems to add Tulip and Rose Brads to the vases. At the base of each image, I added either a White Daisy Brad or Fresh Flower-Bright Brads. Finally, I added an adhesive clear Jewel to each of them

I adore these little cards that can be used for so many different occasions. From saying I'm thinking of you, I care, hello, thank you, get well, etc. these cards work with charm and grace.

To Be Young Again

I celebrated my birthday last week with my family and a few days of keeping up with my 2 and 6 year old grandchildren had me thinking the "young" ship has definitely sailed and certainly inspired this project!

I loved this beach water color graphic from Cricut Design Space that I used for the back ground. I added a ship from Eyelet Outlet's cruise brad set, a palm tree on the shore and a sea shell corner brad. The sky was calling for one of our cloud brads, too.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Egg-Cellent Birthday!

I've never been particularly fond of eggs, so when I saw this phrase in Cricut Design Space, I knew right away it was for me! Cake is most certainly my favorite way to consume eggs!

For this card, I naturally used a couple of our egg brads and paired them up with a few of our cupcake brads. I chose a cute mixing bowl image from Cricut Design Space and it had a row of cut out hearts on it. After I cut it out, I realized the hearts were the exact size of the smallest hearts in our Heart Brads package, so I used the opportunity to add more texture and interest to the card by adding 5 little white hearts to the mixing bowl.

I'm looking forward to giving this card to my dear friend next month!

A Sweet Cherry Pie Birthday Celebration

There is something inherently joyful about a card that moves. While a standard card is a lovely gesture, an interactive card is an experience. Today, I sat down at my craft desk to play with one of my favorite layouts: the Interactive Swing Card.

It’s such a whimsical style—as the recipient opens it, the center elements "swing" or flip, adding that perfect "wow" factor. For this project, I leaned into a theme of pure celebration: all things sweet and festive!

To bring this card to life, I focused on classic birthday icons—pie, balloons, and candles. Here is how the details came together:

  • The Main Attraction: In the first swinging circle, I featured a delicious-looking slice of cherry pie topped with a dollop of whipped cream. To give it a 3D pop, I used Glitter Enamel Dots and a Cupcake Swirl Brad as a garnish. It looks good enough to eat!

  • Up and Away: In the second circle, I placed three Balloon Brads. To tie them together, I hand-drew delicate black balloon strings and anchored them at the bottom with a Burnished Star Brad.

  • The Sentiment: No birthday card is complete without a wish! I embellished the sentiment with two Birthday Candle Brads to keep the theme glowing.

  • The Finishing Touch: I couldn't resist a little sparkle. I added Red Jewel Bling across the card to catch the light and add that final festive flair.

Swing cards are surprisingly sturdy despite their movement, and they provide the perfect "window" to showcase two different focal points. Whether it’s a slice of pie or a cluster of balloons, this layout keeps the viewer engaged from the moment they pull it out of the envelope.

Pro-Tip: When using brads on a swing card, make sure to flatten the prongs completely or cover them with a small piece of decorative paper on the reverse side to ensure a smooth "swing" every time!
