I just love making things for people, and why not something fun for my boys and nephews to put on their backpacks or as a key chain? I made these cute little fish key chain fobs just for them!!
I wanted to make a pretty box for gift card to give as gift. I used
an old jewelry box and cover it over with paper, paint, and Eyelet Outlet Embellishments!
Here is a video tutorial on how I made the box.
Check ot the amazing silver foil washi tape and pink stickyback gems from Eyelet Outlet.
Here is what the box looks like open.
Now it is your turn to purpose something to make it look pretty!!
I needed a fun centerpiece for my husbands graduation party for getting his Masters. So i set of to make something different and fun, a little faux cake made of clay, paper, and bling!!
I started out making the graduation cap from clay.
I
then set out to create all the embellishments and
assembling/painting/adding paper to the base of the cake
with boxes, the little paper mortarboard for the sides from EZ Laser
Designs using the Eyelet Outlet Brad in the center to hold in the tassel, some more clay, and painting chipboard numbers. Here is a video tutorial on how I created all the steps above.
The last step is to combine all the parts together including the amazing Eyelet Outlet bling and pearls. Check out my video tutorial below!!
Here are the Eyelet Outlet products on this project - Clear Bumpy Bling, White and Black Round Jewels, 1/16 Mini black round brads, Black Stickyback Pearls Pearls.
My little faux cake looks amazing as the centerpiece for our food table!!
Here are some other pics of the faux cake.
Have fun at your next party!!!
PS - We are teaming up with EZ Laser Designs this month, take a look at some ofthe products they have in this video - I used the graduation cap banner in the project above!!
My
husband is about to graduate with his Masters in business and we are
throwing him a party. I have a friend that makes the prettiest cookies
and I wanted a dessert stand to display them all. I have been dying to
decorate my Deflecto dessert stand and I now have the perfect occasion
to use it!!
I
went with a black an white theme on this stand, and just used the year
of graduation as the topper and then added all kinds of fun bling all around the edges. Here is a full video tutorial on how I
made the stand with the electrifying Chibitronic lights I added in on all 3 tiers and the top.
I
wanted to re-create a junk journal a friend and I made about 2 months ago so I used the supplies I had on hand in my stash to make a new one! A
little bit of everything went into this little book from all the
companies I work with, for that is what a junk journal is all about
anyway pulling things together from what you have!!!
Two of my favorite things to do are
crafting and cooking, so why not combine the two together?!? I made
some yummy chicken stock in my crockpot, then used the Eyelet Outlet
Washi tape as labels. I then used the same washi tape for the cute
little card when I give some of the chicken stock away to friends and
family.
Here is a video tutorial on how to made the labels for the containers, how to make the cards, and the chicken stock recipe!!
Both
of these items, the container of homemade chicken broth and the card,
could be given as a gift to someone for when they are sick, need a pick
me up, or just to let them know you are thinking about them. So if you
are giving a gift you have to have a card to go with it!!

Step 2 - Make the Stock

Bones from the chicken you just cooked
Veggies, Herbs, and lime from above
Carrots
Celery

Squash
Greens
Other herbs (sage, parsley, etc)
Any other veggie you have
Instructions

all the bones, skin, small bits of chicken, tendons, neck, etc all in
the pot. Roughly chop the vegetables and herbs and scatter them around
the chicken.
Cover with water: Add enough water to cover the chicken bones.
Cook for at least 8 hours: Set the slow cooker to "low"
