Con-GRAD-ulations!

This month, in my (Lauren's) family, we have two nieces graduating from college, and a nephew graduating from high school. Which called for a single flexible design that could be customized for three different personalities. As it turns out, I have *NO* graduation stamps or dies. (HOW is that possible?!) But... large numeral dies and colorful alphabet stickers on notebook paper make an excellent base, and I personalized each version with lots of Eyelet Outlet Brads. Since there are 42 brads from 18 different sets across the three designs, I'm going to just mention them below in the Shopping List section!

Print a sentiment in a fun typewriter font, affix a Graduation Hat and a colorful Sunglass Brad to a stamped sun, attach it to a background of Cloud Tape, add a cloud from the Sun and Cloud set, a Heart Brad and the rainbow from our Unicorn and Rainbow set et voila... the future's so bright, you gotta wear shades!

Congratulations Graduate!

It's graduation season! Do you know someone graduating this year? Here is a fun, money envelope card to make and give to congratulate and honor the graduate!

I started with a free printable money envelope template and layered my washi tape to create a background. After adding my stamped and colored image, I stamped and fussy cut graduation caps and a present to add to my card front. Lastly, I embellished with the adorable camera brads!

For the inside, I added the "Congratulations" greeting with more washi tape! This is a easy and fun card you can create today! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for your crafting needs!

"The Future's So Bright...

...You Gotta Wear Shades"! If there's a better sentiment to put on a graduation card I (Lauren) do not know it, especially when the "shades" in question are Eyelet Outlet Sunglass Brads!

I used a free font called Mom's Typewriter to make my sentiment strips and Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rainbow Dies with LOTS of colorful cardstock scraps to create a background of rainbows and clouds. I adorned one of the clouds with a Graduation Hat and the aforesaid Sunglass Brads, and couldn't resist adding Sun and Cloud Brads, as well as a few Heart Brads. Since I have not one but two beautiful nieces graduating from high school this month, I made two versions of this card, then kitted out a pair of envelopes with their names, as well as more Graduation Hats and Sunglass Brads; all on a background of Rainbow Washi.

Whether your family are celebrating graduations this June, weddings or anniversaries, Father's Daybirthdays or any other milestone, I'm pretty sure the Eyelet Outlet Store has brads and tape that will make your beautiful handmade cards even more fabulous!

A Graduation Toast

Not enough graduation toasts include ACTUAL toast, imo; a fact I (Lauren) have set out to correct, in card form.

I saw a cartoon somewhere with kawaii toast wearing a graduation cap and of course being a good Eyelet Outlet gal, I realized it would be even better with our Graduation Hat Brads and the Toast from the Bacon, Egg and Toast set.

If you prefer your toasts a little less punny, the champagne glasses in the Eyelet Outlet Wedding Brad set might be more to your liking. Because YES, we do literally have a brad for EVERYTHING!!! :)

Lauren Bergold
prefers bagels to toast IRL,
but agrees that toast is better
as a brad and as a pun.

Graduation Centerpiece w/ Video Tutorials

I needed a fun centerpiece for my husbands graduation party for getting his Masters.  So i set of to make something different and fun, a little faux cake made of clay, paper, and bling!!

I started out making the graduation cap from clay.

I then set out to create all the embellishments and assembling/painting/adding paper to the base of the cake with boxes, the little paper mortarboard for the sides from EZ Laser Designs using the Eyelet Outlet Brad in the center to hold in the tassel, some more clay, and painting chipboard numbers.  Here is a video tutorial on how I created all the steps above.

The last step is to combine all the parts together including the amazing Eyelet Outlet bling and pearls.  Check out my video tutorial below!!

Here are the Eyelet Outlet products on this project - Clear Bumpy Bling, White and Black Round Jewels, 1/16 Mini black round brads, Black Stickyback Pearls Pearls.

Graduation Dessert Stand w/ video Tutorial

My husband is about to graduate with his Masters in business and we are throwing him a party.  I have a friend that makes the prettiest cookies and I wanted a dessert stand to display them all.  I have been dying to decorate my Deflecto dessert stand and I now have the perfect occasion to use it!!

I went with a black an white theme on this stand, and just used the year of graduation as the topper and then added all kinds of fun bling all around the edges.  Here is a full video tutorial on how I made the stand with the electrifying Chibitronic lights I added in on all 3 tiers and the top.

I used 2 types of sticky back gems on the project, Bumpy Bling and Round Jewels Black and White.
