Design Team Monday with Nicole

Hi Eyelet Outlet fans... It is Nicole and I have two layouts for you today.  The butterflies are from the Eyelet Outlet and are a new release!  You can find them in the shop here.... http://www.eyeletoutlet.com/butterfly-brads.html and here http://www.eyeletoutlet.com/mini-butterfly-brads.html

This is a picture of my daughter and my sister's daughter.  My family lives back in California while we live in the North of Norway so they only get to see each other once or at the very most twice a year.  When they are together they are sooo happy.  God really blessed me with these two little girls... and their happiness is such a treasure!

I fussy cut the jar from pattern paper attached the butterfly brads to it, and wrapped it with a bit of twine... I then couldnt help but add a few butterflies flying out of the jar and sewed a little trail behind each of the brads.

This  second layout features  a lot of the Eyelet Outlet brads and bling...

This was the first snowman that we built with my daughter.  She was 9 months old  and just so excited to sit and play in the snow.  It was a wonderful new adventure for her.

I also used all three types of bling that you can find in the store Jewel Bling, Pearl Bling and Bling Strips.

Have a wonderful day and happy creating!!!!

We're back from CHA!

Hello Eyelet Outlet fans! We're back from the Craft and Hobby trade show. We loved seeing our customers and meeting new ones. It was really cold in Anaheim for this time of year. I am sure our owner, Suzanne would tease me for saying that since she is used to the cold and this California girl is definitely not.

The show was lots of fun. We had Andrea come and help out and she was fantastic! It is always nice to see Suzanne and lucky for me our paths are crossing more this year when I head back down to Anaheim at the end of the month to help out for the Scrapbook Expo and teach again at GASC. Here's a pic we snapped at CHA in the booth.

Can you believe that Suzanne had just ran a Marathon! She's amazing!

We had fun sharing the new Eyelet Outlet brads and here are a few peeks for you.

Bright balloon brads

Pastel balloon brads

Pastel Bunny brads

Natural Bunny brads

We'll have more peeks here on the blog and Facebook page so stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by!

Design team Wednesday with Susie

Hello Eyelet Outlet Fans! I was so inspired by Anna's beautiful card on Monday!  I know you were also.  It is drab and winetry here too, so I wanted to make a card to put us into the pink of things!

What do you think?  All of my supplies are from Authentique to help us get into the mood for Valentine's Day. The card really needed to be blinged up a bit...so enter the star of the show - one 16mm pink Stipple Jewel Brad. I also used just a tiny line of our wonderful White Pearl Bling Strip on one of the mini valentines.
 Perfection!
I hope you like today's card.  I am showcasing it on my blog today.
I welcome you anytime at The Dies Have It.

For this one, I received these awesome stamps for Christmas and had to use this set! (I used it on the card above, too! SO fun!) When I saw this GIANT gem brad in my stash I knew it would be the perfect fit! I love how big and shiny and amazing it is! YAY!

Guest Designer Monday

Hello Eyelet Outlet friends. We are please to have a Alice Carman as our Guest Designer for December.

My name is Alice Carman and I’m super excited to guest design for Eyelet Outlet.  I love making cards so when I was asked to create a few samples,  I was over the moon excited.  I’ve been asked what my card making style is and honestly, I have no idea.  I dabble in everything…after all its crafting and who doesn’t like that!  However, I do like to layer my cards.  I use a lot of product so I guess you could say it’s not clean and simple.  I also use a lot of stickers and alphabets…love them!  Eyelet Outlet has great brads that are perfect embellishments for card making.

We gave Alice some of our favorite holiday eyelets and asked her to create some fabulous cards to share with you. Here's a look at what she came up with.

Ho Ho Ho...

Supplies: Bo Bunny Mistletoe collection, Spellbinder die and Tim Holtz die

Making Things Bright card

Supplies: Hampton Art Stamp, Canvas Corp paper, white pen, Paper Smooches stamp and Stickles

And we asked her to create a little non-holiday card

Eye-Scream card

Supplies: Bo Bunny Mistletoe collection and Taylored Expressions Stamps

We'd like to thank Alice for sharing these fun cards with us today.

To see more of Alice's cards please visit her blog Cards by Alice.

There is still time for you to get your holiday cards in the mail!

Have a great day.

Design Team Inspiration with Nicole

A big hello to all of you from me (Nicole)  here in the North of Norway... which you as you might know is just hop skip and jump from the North Pole!  It is a wonderful time of the year here in Norway and because we are above the Arctic Circle we have the dark time of the year... yep right now we don't have the sun... It comes up to the horizon so we have twilight for about 2 or 2.5 hours but never actually crosses the horizon so the rest of the day is dark.  I don't mind it so much but it is hard to try and get pictures of projects.. really hard! But I try and today I actually have two types of projects to share with you today... a layout and gift tags for Christmas presents.

On this layout I used both the big snowflake brads and the small snowflake brads... Each of the big paper snowflakes I used a clear rhinestone bling

I love to make tags at Christmas for presents and I have found that brads are the perfect thing to embellish them with. I made three different kinds of tags this year.  The first were the same kind I made last year but this time I used the new 2012 Christmas brads... If you would like to see the tutorial for how to make these tags you can click here....

For this year I made two other kinds of tags...One out of buttons and brads and the other out of brads and rub ons...

I used the following brads when making all three types of tags...
I also used the Mitten Ribbon to coordinate with the holiday mitten brads.

Merry Christmas!

Design Team Wednesday with Jingle

Hello! Today I have three fun holiday cards to share with you using some fun holiday brads!

Gumdrop Christmas

I used the fun gumdrop brads on this one. Instead of going with lots of bright colors, I decided on a homey feel, making the brads the pop of both color and whimsy for this card.

Mitten Wreath

For this one, I hung the adorable mitten brads from the wreath as a fun accent! I love the colors in this mitten collection!

Christmas Walrus

And this last one is just plain FUN! A SUPER cute Christmas walrus ready to play Santa! YAY! LOL! I hope you have enjoyed these fun cards! Have fun creating!

Design Team Monday with Susie

Happy Monday!!
I have three cards to show you today.  All of my cards are birthday themed.  I know it is the holiday season, but we always need birthday cards.  Right?
So here is my first card.  I used some of our new bling on my colored image.  This bling is like no other - because it actually sticks to the paper.  I loved using these pearls because I know they will still be on the card when it is sent through the mail.

My next card is a fun little birthday number for you.  I think these eyeglass brads are super "cool" and I hope you do too. Now this card could be for a cool guy OR girl.
 Here is a closer look:

And now to complete my birthday card spree!  Here is a decidedly feminine birthday card with lots of extra bling on it.  These pearls are just the absolute best!

Here is a close up of the image and the pearls:

Thanks for taking a look at my creations for Eyelet Outlet today. I hope you have enjoyed today's post.  I would love for you to see more of my work at my blog, The Dies Have It.
