Design Team Wednesday with Annette

Hello Eyelet Outlet Fans. I have a couple fun cards to share today. Since becoming a mother, I find myself easily distracted all the time - although not by squirrels, cupcakes or sales. I'm distracted by someone wanting a drink, someone else saying "Mommy, Look!" 

Then in the meantime, the one with the drink would end up spilling it and I would have to clean it up. All the while trying to make dinner and answer the phone! LOL! This card uses the squirrel, cupcake and shoe brads, as well as some nice, shiny bling. The stamps are from the same set called Easily Distracted by Sweet Stamp Shop. I had no problem finding brads that complemented the sentiments because of the huge selection available at the store. 

Card number two is a get well card using the frog brad set and umbrella brads. Once again, because Eyelet Outlet has a such a variety of brads, I was able to easily create a scene with them in the card below.

Welcome Eyelet Outlet Fans!

Susie here to share a few cards with you.  I've been in the mood to create some bright cards lately which is how my first card came to be. I die cut my camera/hello sentiment with my Cameo.  Everything looked so plain until I realized that it would be fun to have something popping out of the lens.  Don't you just love this kitty cat brad?  Once he entered the picture (pun intended), the rest of my card just came together!

Next I wanted to do something with the adorable shoe and purse brads.   This set has both, but I ended up using just one purse because it made sense with my sentiment.  What do you think?

Design Team Wednesday with Susan

This is the season that bridal showers and wedding invitations begin to show up on our schedules. Susan here, to help you get ready for the June brides in your life. My first card is inspired by a plaque that hangs over my kitchen sink that was actually a wedding gift to my grandparents many, many years ago.

 

I used my "Sweethearts," Cricut cartridge for the romantic couple and then embellished the heart with Eyelet Outlet jeweled bling strip.

The bride will surely chuckle when she opens this card and finds the rest of the sentiment and a sink full of Eyelet Outlet pots and pans!

Supplies Used: Baking Brads, Cooking Brads, Red Jeweled Bling Strip, Cricut Cartridges (Sweethearts, Suburbia, Chore Chart, & Edge to Edge)

Now for something more elegant!  After embossing the wedding dress on this card, outlining some of the embossed areas with Eyelet Outlet Pearl Bling Strips took this dress over the top! 

 

 

 

On the inside of the card, I used an Eyelet Outlet hanger brad to hang the bride's veil on the mirror.

Hello Eyelet Outlet friends and happy Monday!

I have a couple of projects with share with you today.  

First up, I had so much fun making the butterfly tag last week.  I can't help to make another one. 

Do you like her skirt?   I used circle washi tape, I adhered the tape on a piece of card stock, then I stamped the image, then cut it out.  I love the bright color, so fun!

Here is the whole tag.  I added strips washi tape pink and brown on the bottom of the tag, some jewel bling strips, and hearts & dots enamels.

Eyelet Outlet:  Circle washi tape sock monkey, eye glass brads, men's hat brads, strips washi tape brown and  pink, jewel strips, hearts & dots enamel.

Others:  Prima dolls, tag, Copic markers, gold ribbon

Next up, how about a card?

Eyelet Outlet:  Daisy flowers brads (bright & pastel), jewel bling strips, enamel butterfly

Others:  Paper Smooches word salad stamp set, Memory Box curvy stem

Good morning! Heather here to share a couple cards using some fun brads, bling, and washi tape from from Eyelet Outlet.

It has finally been feeling like spring and summer are coming to Wyoming - and while I know there are likely to still be some snow showers in our future (this week I believe as a matter of fact!) - we have been enjoying the warmer temperatures anyway! So...I have a couple cards to celebrate that:

First up this bright and cheerful card. I layered up some of the paper flowers from Eyelet Outlet, with a nice big pearl brad in the center, then added some leaves to the sides. I put some pearl bling strips along the side, and also cut a few apart to scatter around my flower for some perfectly coordinating color.

For this one I stamped and paper pieced a fun swimsuit image on a die cut rectangle, added some sparkle with clear Stickles, and then added some sunglasses to the ensemble - a very necessary accessory! Layered up several different paper flowers, with a pearl brad in the center, then trimmed a banner for my sentiment. Attached the swimsuit panel with some coordinating washi tape.

Design Team Wednesday

Hello Eyelet Outlet fans! We're doing something a little different this week. On Monday, some of my teammates created cards based on a sketch. 

Today, I'm sharing a card I made based on a picture. The top image is an illustration I found on Etsy. I used the illustration as inspiration for the card I created below. 

Because the image has a copyright, I was careful not to create an exact replica. 

Besides, I wanted to put my own touches on it anyway.

If you ever find yourself in a creative rut, or you just don't know where to begin with a project, consider starting with a picture of something that inspires you. Remember to respect the original artist's work. Put your own touches on it and don't forget to cite the source of your inspiration if you publish your work. The possibilities are endless. I've found inspiration from product packaging, grocery store displays, clothing, an iPhone case and many other random sources!

Design Team Wednesday with Kerry featuring a tutorial

Hello Eyelet Outlet friends!

Kerry here, I'm sharing another fun way using the Eyelet Outlet paper flowers.  

I remembered a while back, one of my good friends taught me this super fun technique using die cut paper flowers.  I absolutely loved it.  And when I saw the Eyelet Outlet paper flowers, I was super excited and have to try it out!

 

For the flowers, I used the peach/orange dot flowers (big flowers- I used a combination of the medium and large size flowers.  Small flowers- I used 3 of the small flowers) and secured with a 12mm cream pearl brads. 

And here is my finished tag.   I also added some pearls from the bling strips.

Supplies:  Eyelet Outlet Peach/Orange dot flowers, 12mm pearl brads, jewel bling strips

Tim Holtz idea-ology kraft resist cardstock, Ranger Perfect Pearl mist, Distress stain in shabby shutters and peeled paint, distress ink pad in vintage photo and rusty hinge, Sizzix decorative flourishes set die, Prima Shabby Chic Treasure, and ribbon.

Welcome Eyelet Outlet Fans!

Susie here to share a few cards with you.  It seems in Texas where I live that Spring may have finally arrived...at least I hope so.  I am ready for beautiful flowers and warm breezes. To celebrate what I HOPE will be lovely weather for a while, I made two cards to share with you.  They both use the same cute Bright Stitched Flower Brads - big and small.  On the first card I used  die cut stems and on the second I stamped my stems.  I was curious if I could do both - and I am happy to say, I love both cards! I also added some cute Butterfly Brads - big and small - to finish each card.  I hope you like the way the cards turned out.

Design Team Wednesday with Dawn

Hello Eyelet Outlet fans, Dawn here today sharing some fun projects. First is a project I created with some accordian tag card SVG files for my Sizzix eclips.

Then, I used the fabulous products from The Eyelet Outlet 

to give my base some character and interest!

For this one, I went with a Monster theme!

Blue and Purple Pearl Bling dot this cheerful card!

Monster brad and a clever sentiment!

Don't stop at Paper Flowers to spruce up your projects.

Just check out the fun Monster Ribbon at the top of the tag!

But, if you want a multi eyed monster, keep digging around that package of brads!

Here are 3 other brightly colored monster to get your friend to giggle and smile!

I love the happy colors of this Monster Line!! 

So happy and cheerful!

For my second accordian tag card svg, I used a rounded tag.

All you need to do is line up 4 tags a

nd weld them together in the creative software

 that goes along with your cutting system!  

Easy and fun!

Then, I layed on the funny Sock Money Brads, Paper Flowers, and Red Bling Strips!

The colors pop against the caramel card stock base.

Next, I used a brad that went along with my sentiment.

Do you see the Hanger Brad? And the single Bling?

Notice any other Eyelet Outlet Product?

Yeppers...that is our Circle Washi Tape. 

I simply cut out a shape using a die.

Then used the washi in stripes to cover the panel.

A few other Paper Flowers pick up the colors and theme, while the

Bling Strips is a nice repeated element on my card!  (Those pearls and bling in the center of the Paper Flowers are from The Eyelet Outlet too!)

On my last panel, I found another brad, the Car Brad, to capture the theme of the sentiment

on this individual panel.

The result is an eye catching accordian tag card!

The sky is the limit for all the lovely themes you can recreate using

the eye catching products of The Eyelet Outlet.
