It's Been a Long, Long Time...

...since I (Lauren) have made a scrapbook layout! But my niece Maddie turned sixteen last week, and since a party (or any other social activity) was obviously out of the question, my sister came up with the idea of compiling a surprise scrapbook. She sent blank pages, a few supplies and postage-paid return envelopes to family and friends, and got back unbelievably beautiful and touching results. I was surprised, not only how many ideas I had... but how many of my ideas involved Eyelet Outlet Brads! Here's maybe my favorite of the pages I made:

I love using brads as a frame on cards, but it turns out they're even cooler around a photo! I took this picture of Maddie and her Nana (who also happens to be my mom!) in 2004, when Maddie was one day old, and it is still a favorite. To surround it, I chose brads and bling that either had a baby theme, or were pink, or both. I've got Heart BradsTeddy BearsSafety PinsDucks, a Colorful Lady Bug, a ButterflyFlower JewelsHeart Pearls, and tiny Pearl Bling.

One of the great things about making a scrapbook for an older kid in the year 2020 is that they (and their parents) have their own social media feeds, full of pictures you know they like. So it's possible to do a bit of lurking and photo-stealing, to get shots you might not have thought to take! This beautiful selfie records the day that Madeline got her braces off. As soon as I saw that smile --and the white space above her head-- I started thinking "thought bubble". I used a combination of stickers and brads to make a little collage of a few happy things I thought she might be thinking about, like school, treats, the beach, etc. I scattered a Computer BradSpring BubbleSelfie BradLight BulbScissorsSun and some Mini Emotion Brads around my sticker sentiment, #Sixteen.

Whether you make layouts or cards, Eyelet Outlet has the perfect embellishments for all of your projects. Check out the huge selection of BradsBling, SequinsWashi Tape and more!

The Merry Days

Happy Saturday! This is Rebecca, and this morning I’m continuing the Christmas in July theme. But this time I did it without using any Christmas themed products!

I used all Eyelet Outlet items to create the banner:
Bling Strips (to make the letters in “merry”)
Dog Bone Quicklets (on sale!)
Pearl Bling (multi size)

I didn’t set the eyelets. Instead, I just threaded them onto the twine and put the banner pieces on foam so it was the same height as the eyelets. I secured the bones in the corners with small glue dots. I love the result!

Red White and Boom!

Happy Saturday! It’s show season, so an extra hello welcome to anyone in Syracuse at this weekend’s Too Much Fun Rubber Stamp Show. Please stop by and say hello while you shop!

This is Rebecca, and my project today is an extension of yesterday’s Instagram Hop with The Project Bin. You can still take the hop on Insta - just start at @eyeletoutlet and look for the hop logo:

The designers for both The Project Bin and Eyelet Outlet came up with some terrific cards and projects using a mix of both brands. Check it out, leave comments and possibly win one of the $25 prizes!

For the hop I used the Red White and Boom set for a not-so red, white and blue card. A few EO dots, and the firecracker stamp became firecracker flowers.

But today I thought I’d use the same stamp set in a little more traditional way. A mix of the stamps, along with EO washi and bling made a background for a 4th of July scrap page.

Soak Up the Sun & Snorkel

Good morning, and happy Saturday!

As I type, the sun is shining, the breeze is strong, and if I close my eyes, I can ALMOST pretend that I’m at the beach instead of Ohio. ALMOST..

My page project this week uses pictures from a vacation last June, and I guess the subject matter helps my fantasy :).

As soon as I saw the Swim Fin Quicklet Eyelets in the store, I knew exactly why I needed them. We had a terrific time with the beach snorkeling on this trip, and I have a couple of other pages with related pictures that will use the rest of the fins. Those pages won’t be on the blog because nobody on the internet needs to see our swimsuits!!!haha

I had a hard time deciding what to do for a title. I knew I wanted “snorkel” to be big, but I didn’t have any big, pre-cut letters. I came up with making my own letters from bling strips, and I like it! I just drew the long, skinny letters in pencil to give myself a guide. The strips cover the pencil line, so there was no need to erase.

I want to try doing some script lettering with the strips, too. Maybe next week.

I backed the arrow washi with white cardstock so it would pop off of the darker patterned papers.

March Pocket Page (And A Card)

Happy weekend, and welcome to Saturday!!  This is Rebecca, and I have two projects to show today.

Are you currently living through rapids season cycling like we are? We've seen rain, snow, ice, warm sun, cold sun, and every combination in between, all within the last week.  Yesterday was bright and chilly. Today? Freezing rain. How do I forget this unpredictable weather every year?!

I am working on some scrapbook catch up, and I decided to do a page for this time last year. It was a reminder that the sunshine and warmer days WILL eventually come!

Image may contain: one or more people

You'll find a little Eyelet Outlet in each piece of this quick, spring pocket page. I am in love with this roll of flower washi, and I tried to use it in multiple spots around the page. Filled in with a few other brads, Quicklets and enamel dots....easy peasy!

No automatic alt text available.

My favorite is in the top right picture above. I put pieces of washi on some scrap white cardstock and then cut the numbers (1, 2 and 3) out of the flower washi. I love how easy it was to coordinate the pieces in each pocket with just a few moments and scraps.

No automatic alt text available.

Bonus, I used some of that same flower washi (and some leftover swirly bling) for a springy hello card, too.

May your sunshine get warmer and more springy each day!!

Make a Memory Last

Make a memory last...
and bring it back to life with brads and washi tape from Eyelet Outlet~
Here, two of my nieces got their ears pierced!
Along with a snuggly teddy bear!

I added Teddy Bear Brads in Brown and Pink to keep it playful...and to give a tribute to the teddy they each held as they went through the piercing process!

With so many colors, patterns and sizes of washi tape,
you can easily coordinate with the colors in your picture or the colors of your papers!

that coordinated with their shirts and purse.

What a great memory between sisters!
And with this scrapbook page, they will be able to enjoy rehashing all the excitement, drama, and love!    I used a heart brad to add a bit of interest to that boring corner!

The paw prints can be found at EZ Laser Designs.

Thanks so much for taking a walk down memory lane.
Be sure to browse through our many brads and tape to find just the right embellishment
for your special memories!

Something for the Scrapbookers

Today we are sharing some inspiration for our scrapbookers. It's fun to incorporate brads  and eyelets into your scrapbook pages and using them in unique ways like Nicole has shown us here in her layout really makes for a fun layout. Let's take a look at

Two Silly Monkeys

Can you spot how many of our sock monkey brads Nicole used?

Here's a hint

Nicole actually incorporated several of our brads for this fun layout. I really love the way she used the retro glasses brads on her photo. This made for a really fun layout.

Here's today's Eyelet Outlet supply list for this layout

We'd love to see what you're creating with your Eyelet Outlet stash. Please share your images on our Facebook fan page here.

Have a great day!
