Birds of a Feather
I (Lauren) think it's possible that whoever said, "Good things come in small packages" may very well have been thinking about Eyelet Outlet Tropical Bird Brads! These colorful feathered friends are exactly the right size for Penny Black's Vintage Birdcage Dies, which I diecut from our Pink Foil Tape backed with a scrap of plain white cardstock. A punny diecut sentiment, a few fronds of foliage with Colored Daisy and Green Leaf Brad accents, as well as a Flower Washi mat complete the design.
There are other "Birds of a Feather" in the EO Store, including Bluebird and Robin Brads, three kinds of Cardinals, Flamingos and several styles of Owls, some of which are on sale!

Oh Deer!
The new Eyelet Outlet Brads just get better and better, don't you think? Today's card features the Deer from our new vintage-inspired Santa and Deer set, as well as the Snowy Tree Brads.
Of course, the new items pair really well with the older ones, too! Such as Holly Brads, Heart Pearls, two styles of Tree Tape, Wood Washi, Sparkle White Glitter Tape and Glitter White Enamel Dots!

Christmas Card(inals!)
Cardinals are some of my (Lauren's) favorite birds and also some of my favorite Eyelet Outlet Brads. We have Cardinals, Female Cardinals and Cardinal Profiles and I've used the first two on this card. To make the male Cardinal's vivid feathers stand out even more, I've clustered some of my favorite holiday washi tapes: Vertical Red Tree Tape, Heart Tape, Poinsettia Tape and Red Foil Striped Washi. My sentiment is one repeat of Merry Christmas Tape, stuck to a piece of cardstock and popped up on foam for extra dimension.

Easter Egg Hunt

So Hoppy Together
I (Lauren) can never resist a pun, but for some reason they're even more appealing for Valentine's Day. If one happens to have Eyelet Outlet Frog Brads and/or Rabbit Brads, any greeting which would ordinarily read, "Happy" can now be, "Hoppy"! If one also has the amazing super-wide Sky Washi, an instant landscape can easily occur!
To flesh out the scene I added border-punched layers of grass, Sun and Cloud Brads and some adorable Mini Bees. For the Frogs, a Cattail from their set (they come with Water Lilies as well!) is peeping out in the background; for the bunnies it's a Colored Daisy.

Outstanding in Their Field
Sheep are shear magic and I (Lauren) think you wool love Eyelet Outlet Sheep Brads! I've made a farm-themed Valentine, although really this idea could work equally well as a birthday or encouragement card at any time of year.
I've watercolored the pretty barn and added a fun fence diecut in the foreground. My farmyard features the sweet sheep from our Pig and Sheep set, as well as some Mini Butterflies and the Sun and Cloud set.
In addition to the Pig and Sheep Brads, Eyelet Outlet has Cow and Goat Brads, Horse and Pony Brads, Roosters, Chickens, Chicks, Eggs, Pick-up Trucks, Cowboy Brads and Tractors, too! So FARM, so good!

'Twas the Week Before Christmas...
...so there's time for just one more Eyelet Outlet holiday card design! This one has a winter vibe (which seems appropriate on the second official day of that season!) featuring a double row of the beautiful Glitter Tall Trees Tape in the background, and an ornament bedecked with a Deer Brad, some Pine Trees and a couple of Snowflake Brads, dangling from a Jewel Strip hanger, with a small scattering of Snowflake Sequins.

Merci Bouquet Triple Play
It's probably impossible to have too many Birthday or Thank You greetings on hand, so whenever I (Lauren) think of a fun idea, I like to make multiple versions. Since there are plenty of different Eyelet Outlet Flower Brad styles, when I thought of "Merci Bouquet" I was spoiled for choice!
I used the same Wood Washi and Mini Ladybug Brads in all three versions, but changed up the patterned paper backgrounds to match the flower styles. For my first card I made a bouquet of Colored Daisy Brads.
My second card features our classic Bright Daisy Flower Brads, which are on sale!
My third card combines Fall Stitched Flower Brads (they come in Minis and Brights, too!) with petals cut from a green Solid Color Paper Flower to act as foliage.

Thanksgiving Vibes
Preparations for Turkey Day are well underway at my (Lauren's) house, with the merits of various types of dressing being hotly debated, and crucial decisions regarding veggie casseroles (green bean or broccoli??) still pending. So this seemed like a good time to get out some of my favorite autumnal EO Brads and make a card.
There's nothing particularly Thanksgiving-related about this fabulous super-wide Brick Washi, but it was my starting point for colors. I added clusters of Sunflower Brads, green Mini Stitched Flowers and red Heart Pearls around my sticker sentiment and finished things off nicely with a Pumpkin Brad.

Whole Latte Love
Brand new Iced Coffee Brads in the Eyelet Outlet Shop are definitely cause for celebration, and obviously need their very own punny card:
I couldn't resist drawing tiny kawaii faces on the fancy Iced Coffees, but of course they are perfectly awesome without such embellishment. This turned out to be quite a CAS card, as I wanted the conversation/sentiment to really stand out, so the only other thing I added was a trio of Heart Brads and a mat of Tiny Hearts Tape.

Under the Tree
The new Eyelet Outlet Gift Brads are fairly awesome on their own, but of course the best place for them is under a Christmas Tree, right? So that's where I (Lauren) have put them.
In this case the tree --decorated with Green Pearl Bling and a Glitter Enamel Star-- is stamped and the room is composed of five different EO Washi varieties: Gold Script Tape, Heart Washi, Wood Tape, Star Gold Tape and Christmas Pattern Washi, to be precise. But maybe my favorite thing is the art on the wall: a Nutcracker Brad, matted on a little scrap of Wood Tape, diecut into a frame shape.

Life Really is Better in Flip Flops
Amongst the new Eyelet Outlet Summer Brad release are Flip Flops, which come with three colors in each pack: brown, black and hot pink. Amazingly enough for me (Lauren) I didn't use the pink ones first??!
Rest assured that pink is still my favorite color, but in this case, as I worked on the card, these ancient cork alphabet stickers, plus our beautiful Shell Brads, Shell Corners and Sea Shore Brads meant my card was becoming distinctly neutral and natural, so I opted for the brown Flip Flops this time. A scattering of pearls finishes off my slimline shoreline card design.
Other new releases include our Boat and Lighthouse Brads, White Daisy Brads and Dragonfly Brads. Be sure to check back often to see inspiring ideas from the design team!

Calendar Girl
When I (Lauren) saw this super-fun, extra-wide Calendar Washi in the Eyelet Outlet Store, I knew immediately that I wanted to adorn it with a year's worth of seasonal brads. I confess it didn't occur to me that I'd wind up with with 29 brads from 21 sets on a 6.5 x 5.5" card; but that's cool too!
Here's the brad list, month by month; try to spot my very silly mistake! January: Penguin and Snowflake Brads; February: Heart Brads; March: Bluebird and Robin Brads plus a Mini Bee; April: Chick and Colored Egg Brad; May: Colored Daisy and Mini Ladybug; July: the Hat from our patriotic Flag and Hat set; June: Tall Palm Tree and Colorful Sunglass Brad; August: Ice Cream and the Sun from the Sun and Cloud Brad set; September: Book Brad and a School Bus; October: Pumpkin and Mini Spiders (they're on sale!); November: Mini Leaves and the Rake from our Lawn Mower set; December: Santa and Mrs. Claus.

DINO-mite!
There are few things more fun for a cardmaker than "making a scene" (in card form, of course!) but it's even better if you get to make THREE tiny little scenes... each providing a home to an adorably ferocious Eyelet Outlet Dinosaur Brad!
My little squares are just about 1.25" each; which turns out to be the perfect size to hold a simple rendition of sky and ground, one Dino Brad and either a Tall Palm Tree and a Mini Butterfly or the Sun. By staggering the horizon line across my A6 card, the tiny scenes relate to each other, and hopefully add up to a larger landscape that is "DINO-mite"!

"Happiness is...
...a cup of coffee and a good book". Or, as I (Lauren) have interpreted it in this wish-fulfilling card, happiness is a pot of coffee, a room full of books and a few close friends! I made this fun scene using Eyelet Outlet Book Tape, Book Brads and Coffee Brads, and populated it with adorable characters from Waffle Flower Crafts' Books and Coffee stamp set.
I did all my stamping on watercolor paper and colored with Tombow Dualbrush Pens with Prismacolor Pencil shading. I was a little disappointed that Bear's glasses were just a tiny bit too big to work with our Eye Glass Brads; but I was able to add a Heart Brad to the cover of the bear's book, swap the large stack of books that the bird is sitting on for two colorful Book Brads, replace the potted cactus with a yellow lotus flower from the Frog Brad Set and add a Coffee Brad and Funky Bee to the foreground.
I made the "Library" by affixing strips of EO Book Tape to a panel of plain white cardstock and adding a strip of skinny tape under each to work as shelves. I made a table from Hardwood Floor Tape (it's out of stock now, but we still have some great Wood Tapes); assembled the entire thing, added the fun sentiment (framed with ancient nested dies) and matted the panel on Foil Copper Tape before adding it to the front of my white A6 card.
Of course, you could make a room setting for pretty much any character stamp you own, with just some Washi Tape as wallpaper (we have pretty much every style you could imagine!) and Eyelet Outlet Brad accessories; I hope you'll be inspired to create your own interiors!

Happy Easter, Everybunny
Even if you have LOTS of patterned paper... (and I, Lauren, do!) ...sometimes you still don't have exactly what you want for a particular card. In this case, I wanted a text paper that said "Happy Easter" so I typed it myself! It's the perfect home for my Eyelet Outlet Rabbit Brads, whom I've given a little landscape to inhabit, by adding a Sun and Cloud Brad and a Mini Butterfly, as well as some punched grass and an oversized diecut tulip to frame up the whole thing.
This week I wish you a Happy Passover or Happy Easter, if you are celebrating; or just an extra nice second week of Spring!

Seashore Garden...
...is the name of this beautiful tape from Eyelet Outlet and the only thing I (Lauren) love more than the name is the tape itself!
The Seashore Garden Tape is interesting for its style as well as its look; instead of being a continuous long repeat, the design is actually six different boxes, in which there is a coordinating scene that has fish, sea creatures, shells, coral and flowers. So my first question was, "Do I use this in long strips, or do I cut it down and use the individual boxes?" but pretty quickly I realized the answer was: BOTH! For my first card, I made a note-quite-A2 sized background by lining up three strips of this inch-wide tape, which I matted on a panel of Glitter Copper Tape, mulberry cardstock and a soft mottled lavender paper. I diecut and matted an oval, as well as a strip to hold my Lawn fawn stamped sentiment, "I *sea* it's your birthday". I filled the oval with some trout from the Trout and Bass Brads and accessorized with Shell Corner Brads as well as starfish and sand dollars from the Sea Shore Brad Set.
For my second card, I applied a long strip of Seashore Garden Tape to plain white cardstock, then trimmed it down into the six individual boxes that make up the entire design. I matted each one on a rich kraft cardstock, scattered some Trout, Shell Corner, Sea Shore and Shell Brads to a few of the squares and affixed them to a white A6 card with a torn bit of the leftover lavender paper from the first card.
I love that both of these cards use ALL the same ingredients... but each is quite unique! I'm anxious to try this two-fer method on some of our other Eyelet Outlet Washi Tapes.

Hogs and Kisses
Valentine's Day is Sunday, but there's still time to make a funny, punny card, especially if you have some Eyelet Outlet Pig and Sheep Brads!
I (Lauren) made a fast background with Tiny Heart Tape and then chose cardstock colors to coordinate. I made my "Hogs and Kisses" sentiment using chunky foam alphabet stickers and added two adorable Pig Brads to the letter O. Finally, I scattered a few Heart Brads and I was done! Super-fast, super-fun and super-cute, right?!
