Celebrate Dad by the Seashore!

Father's Day is not too far away, and what better way to show Dad some love than with a handmade card? Today, I'm sharing a card inspired by the calming beauty of the coast, perfect for the father who enjoys the sea.

The focal point of this card is a serene lighthouse scene, beautifully framed with the dazzling Sparkle Blue Glitter Washi Tape. This tape adds just the right touch of shimmer and evokes the feeling of sunlight on the water.

To spell out how much he's appreciated, I also used the same Sparkle Blue Glitter Washi Tape to die-cut the letters "DAD." These stand out wonderfully against the background.

Adding dimensional details that Dad is sure to love are the charming Seagull and Seashore Brads. These little coastal elements bring the scene to life and add a tactile touch to the card.

This card is a simple yet heartfelt way to celebrate Dad and his special day. I hope it inspires you to get crafty and create something meaningful for the father figures in your life!

Sprinkles of Wishes and Showers of Love

Hi EO Fans! Today I'm here with a colorful card which turns something that generally is seen as negative into some positive. This card celebrates sprinkles and showers of Love!

This card is interactive. When you pull the tab at the top, the colorful rain drops are fully revealed.

To make this card, I covered white cardstock with Sparkle White Washi Tape before cutting out the clouds. I added Blue and clear Tear Drop Bling as additional drops for the card. I really love the shine the jewel drops create. It truly takes the card up a notch. Before I placed the main panel on the A2 card base, I lined the edges with Sparkle Blue Washi Tape. I also added some blue Jewel Bling in the tiniest and 2nd smallest sizes.

I made this with a die set from Diamond Press called Rain or Shine Pull Tab Cards. It includes everything needed to create this interactive card and has some other images. The vibrant colors come from Karin Brushmarker Pro watercolor markers.

Skiing Snowman and Friends

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas in July! I always enjoy crafting for Christmas in July and in a way, it's a kick-off to Christmas crafting as we all know it can take a while to get all the Christmas crafts and cards you want done in time for December.

Today I have a cute snowman enjoying the slopes. The snow is created by using Glitter Star Washi Tape. This may be a whimsical choice but I like it. Seems two little Penguins like it too! The sky is filled with Snowflake Brads and Snowflake Bling in white. It's a perfect wintery scene, especially in the heat of summer. It makes me feel a little cooler just looking at it.

When Life Gives You Lemons

Hello and welcome to summer! I love our new Lemonade and Fruit Brads. With summer, I thought I'd do a slightly different take on the make lemons into lemonade theme. I don't think one envisions palms and pretty water on a dock with that theme but I've made it work!

Washi Tape is so versatile. One of the things I like to do most is use it as a border for my cards. It's very quick and easy and way more economical than wasting a huge piece of expensive glitter cardstock. If you just want a touch of glitter occasionally it also makes sense to invest in a few washi tapes instead of cardstocks that end up taking your precious space. I apply it along all edges, overlapping in the corners. You can't tell there's an overlap and the result is really nice.

To make this one, I created the background using Canva. I added the sentiment and then printed it. I used a die to make the tray and added it to the dock along with the Lemonade & Fruit Brads. Then I simply added the enamel dots and blue bling. This was quick and easy and I love the results!

Sweet Summer Time

I am a HUGE fan of yellow. It makes me feel energized and it symbolizes fun and good times. I also love citrus and the new Lemonade & Fruit Brad set checks off all my boxes. In the set, you'll find slices of citrus and a pitcher full of lemon yumminess.

This is a mini-slimline card that features the new Lemonade & Fruit Brads and the Cocktail Brads. I mean a little lemony margarita can't be wrong right? Two strips of Sparkle Blue Glitter Washi Tape looks so great on the yellow and white heat embossed background. I just added two Cocktail Brads and another Pitcher and fruit slice to it. I used a ready made ephemera piece but also dressed that up with brads from the new set. Finally I added a few White Enamel Dots to finish it up with a crisp finish. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy. I think I know just the friend that would love to get this as a surprise in the mail!

Butterfly Thanks

Happy Saturday Eyelet Outlet Fans! Today I wanted to use butterflies in my card. Like many other people, I think butterflies are one of the nicest things you can use on a card.

To construct this, I used a Spellbinders Glimmer Set to put rainbow foil on white cardstock. The pattern is a pretty floral. I also glimmered the sentiment and cut it out.

I colored the flowers with Copic Markers and then I made the blue background in the middle by covering a strip of white cardstock in Sparkle Blue Glitter Washi Tape. I cut it out with a die included in the set.

Next I cut a rectangle out of the middle using a stitched die. On that piece I attached Butterfly Brads and Blue Pearl Bling-Multi in two corners. Then I edged an A2 card base with more Sparkle Glitter Washi Tape before gluing the cut frame on top. I put foam tape on the back of the middle panel and adhered it to the card. This give is a nice pop-up look. I added a Butterfly Bright Brad to the sentiment before attaching it with foam tape to the card front too.

It's a Merry Bear-y Holiday!

Hi EO fans! Janet here to share a "cool" holiday card featuring some of  EO's most fabulous holiday brads, Washi Tape and bling. I do apologize for the reflection in this photo. The cardstock has a sheen and I just couldn't get it at an angle that wouldn't reflect.

This was super easy and fast to create. The border was created using two glitter tapes. I laid down the White Sparkle Washi Tape on a piece of white cardstock and then overlaid it with the Blue Sparkle Washi Tape. Then I used a wavy blade in my paper trimmer to cut both sides. The result is the wavy glitter border than I glued to my card base.

To create the decorative circle, I laid down a strip of Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape on blue metallic cardstock and then cut a 1 1/2" circle making sure the glitter tape filled out the bottom of the circle and looks like snow. I placed the Pine Tree brads and adult and baby Polar Bear brads. I used two sizes of the Snowflake Brads at the top. Then I mounted this on foam tape and placed it on a larger printed circle.

The largest circle came as a companion piece to the card base and it took the guesswork out of matching anything up since the orange border matches the stars in the card pattern. Finally I used a pre-printed flag sentiment on the card and used a Snowflake bling (1 1/2" size) for the final accent.
