Where the Buffalo Roam

I'm a fan of nature cards and today's card has a national parks theme. Buffalo, mountains, and pine trees all make me think of parks like Yellowstone.

My card is made with several great brad mainstays in the EO store. After making the primary cardstock elements, I simply added the brads to give it more interest, texture and dimension.

Thanks for stopping by today. Please make a visit to the Eyelet Outlet store to stock up on your brads, bling, washi tape, and paper flowers. Check out the clearance brads while you're there. You'll find some great deals on a HUGE variety of EO favorites. All bling is also on clearance so be sure to check it out.

A Summer Scene in a Mini Slimline Card

Today’s card features some of my favorite outdoor-themed brads from the Eyelet Outlet store, all packed into one charming little landscape! I created it on one of my go-to card sizes—3 1/2" x 6", known as a mini slimline. Don’t let the smaller size fool you—these cards are the perfect canvas for creating perfectly detailed scenes.

For this summery card, I built a camping scene complete with Camper Brads nestled on the ridge. To bring the forest to life, I mixed in both Pine Tree Brads and Summer Tree Brads alongside some die-cut cardstock trees for added dimension and texture.

Down in the grassy area, I added Boot Print Brads—two footprints that hint at an early morning hike or a casual stroll through the woods. And up in the sky? A Compass Brad, doing double duty as both a whimsical take on the sun and a nod to wayfinding—perfect for a camping theme!

This scene may be mini, but it’s full of charm and summer spirit. I love how brads can bring so much personality and detail to a card with just a few small touches.

Gathering Wood

Winter is here and that means it is time to bundle up
some wood for the fireplace. This outdoor scene has a
a winter look due to the great winter washi tape that
Eyelet Outlet sells. For this card I layered the washi
tape and added some hills at the bottom.

To continue the outdoor look I added fun snowmen brads
and tree brads from Eyelet Outlet

A Merry Little Christmas

Hello EO fans! I'm happy to be here today to share a icy and pretty winter Christmas card. To make this, began by inking a blue A2 card base with Broken China and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink. The next step was to cover white cardstock with Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape and then cut slopes of snow with dies and stacked them together to create the drifts. I stamped, colored and cut the igloo scene. Before I glued that on the card, I installed two Pine Tree Brads. I also added two Polar Bear Brads and two Snowflake Brads. Such a pretty scene!

Think Outside the ROCKS

We all know how awesome all the embellishments from Eyelet Outlet are on regular crafting surfaces, but this week, I decided to think outside the rocks…oops…I mean, box.

I used ROCKS as my surface this week!!!  How fun is that?!?!

I’ve heard about people decorating rocks and leaving them in places outside for others to find and since I love to make folks smile, I decided to decorate some rocks of my own and place them somewhere in town.

I picked up a few smooth rocks and acrylic paints from my local craft store, got some inspiration from Pinterest and I was off!

The cute ROCK-o-Lantern is sporting a perfectly themed Witches Hat Brad.  Hanging off the hat is a Mini Spider Brad along with a eerie Ghost Brad and a single Spooky Eye Brad. What a fun little project this is to do with the kids or grandkids on those rainy fall days!

The next rock was used to create a campsite. After painting the ground, sky, and a few evergreens, I added a tent and campfire from the Camping Brads, a few Pine Tree Brads and of course, a soaring bald eagle from the Eagle Brads. To finish it off, I added some Orange bling for the stars.

Now, I’ll be the first to tell you that painting is not my strong suit but by adding all the adorable embellishments, I think they look pretty darn good.

This was a fun and easy crafting project suitable for all ages.  Go to Eyelet Outlet and pick up your embellishments and go ROCK the town!!

Christmas Tree Farm

I love making fancy fold cards and today I have one for you inspired by Sam Calcott of Mixed Up Crafts.  This one is called a 2 Tiered Pop Up Card and you can find her tutorial for this type of card on YouTube.

This fancy fold is a bottom-fold card and has a sheet of acetate that serves to stabalize it when it's open and on display.  It folds up over the card flat for mailing. I created my version of Sam's card in Cricut Design Space and scaled it down in size so that it would fit in an A-2 envelope.

I can think of so many ideas for this card base, so I'm pretty sure you'll be seeing more of these in future posts, but today I thought I'd give you a little "Christmas in July" with this Christmas Tree Farm.  I used both the Pine Tree Brads as well as the Snowy Tree Brads from Eyelet Outlet interspersed throughtout the card amoung the card stock trees.  I also added a  Pine Tree Brad  to the back of the pick up and some snowflake brads in the sky.

Only 5 more months until Christmas, so happy crafting!

So Thankful for my Gnomies!

It's hard to find anything more cheerful than gnomes. It's no wonder they are so popular! Today My card features EO's Gnome Brads 2. They are so cute! Mushroom Washi Tape makes the perfect background for the two Gnomes. To me the Washi Tape and the Gnomes are a must to use together. I also added Pine Tree Brads to give additional dimension.

I stamped the sentiment and the wheelbarrow on a fancy die cut circle. I colored the wheelbarrow with Copic Markers to make it stand out from the red cardstock. Then I cut a slit in the top of the wheelbarrow so I could slide a gnome through the back and make it appear like he is sitting in the wheelbarrow. I also added a Sun Brad from the Sun & Cloud Brad Set. Before I applied the sentiment with foam tape, I added a strip of Pine Tree Washi Tape and Silver Dot Skinny Washi Tape. It makes such a fun card to give one of my "gnomies."

Penguins Love Christmas, Too!

Hello friends!  Do you love penguins as much as I do?  I could sit and watch them waddle and play all day long!  Additionally, they provide great lessons in leadership and teamwork.

For my project today, I used a simple card sketch that is full of layers.  I used the Glitter Black Washi Tape to create a panel.  I then used the Penguin Washi Tape to create my next panel.  It is so easy to add washing tape over a strip of card stock and you have a perfect embellishment for your card.
To complete my card, I made a loopy bow from my absolute favorite ribbon.  This ribbon is SO old.  I bet I have had it for 20 years, but it is perfect for Christmas projects!  I added a Pine Tree Brad to the bow and adhered it to my card front.

Polar Bear Wishes

Today I've got a Christmas card with a decidedly outdoor theme. Eyelet Outlet has a lot of animal brads but the Polar Bear Set is one of my favorites. It comes with a large and a small bear. I've made them the focal points of my card.

I began this card by cutting two pieces of white cardstock 2" by 5". I covered one with strips of washi tape using Poinsettia Washi Tape and Holiday Washi Tape. Then I tore an edge off of each piece so that they I could adhere them to a green mat. This was then glued on to a red A2 card base. I made a sentiment strip and mounted it on red cardstock. It was very easy to tear the washi tape covered pieces to get a distressed looking pieces for a little different look. You can also cut washi tape covered cardstock with dies or an electronic cutter.

I cut a decorative circle out of cardstock covered in Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape. Now for the fun EO brads. In the center I placed a Pine Tree Brad, a Sleigh Brad and the small Polar Bear Brad. I used the large Polar Bear Brad on the left side of the sentiment as an accent.

It's a Merry Bear-y Holiday!

Hi EO fans! Janet here to share a "cool" holiday card featuring some of  EO's most fabulous holiday brads, Washi Tape and bling. I do apologize for the reflection in this photo. The cardstock has a sheen and I just couldn't get it at an angle that wouldn't reflect.

This was super easy and fast to create. The border was created using two glitter tapes. I laid down the White Sparkle Washi Tape on a piece of white cardstock and then overlaid it with the Blue Sparkle Washi Tape. Then I used a wavy blade in my paper trimmer to cut both sides. The result is the wavy glitter border than I glued to my card base.

To create the decorative circle, I laid down a strip of Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape on blue metallic cardstock and then cut a 1 1/2" circle making sure the glitter tape filled out the bottom of the circle and looks like snow. I placed the Pine Tree brads and adult and baby Polar Bear brads. I used two sizes of the Snowflake Brads at the top. Then I mounted this on foam tape and placed it on a larger printed circle.

The largest circle came as a companion piece to the card base and it took the guesswork out of matching anything up since the orange border matches the stars in the card pattern. Finally I used a pre-printed flag sentiment on the card and used a Snowflake bling (1 1/2" size) for the final accent.

A Lantern Box Card for Dad!

Hey everybody! I hope you had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a cool Father's Day Lantern featuring our Deer Brads, Pine Tree Brads and Sun/Cloud Brads. Yep, you got it... I've been playing with my Scan N Cut! I have tons of cut files on my laptop and when I came across this one (looking for a different one, of course), the light bulb came on and I got to work!

I cut the main card base from red cardstock, and all the rest of the pieces from light blue, white, green and light brown cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in brown ink, trimmed it, and set it aside. As I was assembling the layers for the background scene, I added Deer Brads, Pine Tree Brads and Sun/Cloud Brads, and then finished the assembly. I added a twine bow at the top and adhered the stamped sentiment at the bottom.

Here's a quick shot of the back which has a plain panel to write a custom message (if desired) and sign. And of course, this is a box card and folds flat for mailing. ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

'Twas the Week Before Christmas...

...so there's time for just one more Eyelet Outlet holiday card design! This one has a winter vibe (which seems appropriate on the second official day of that season!) featuring a double row of the beautiful Glitter Tall Trees Tape in the background, and an ornament bedecked with a Deer Brad, some Pine Trees and a couple of Snowflake Brads, dangling from a Jewel Strip hanger, with a small scattering of Snowflake Sequins.

Ugly Sweater Party

We call them "ugly" but there is something totally fun and festive about Holiday Sweaters, especially in card form; and Instant Holiday Sweater Awesomeness can be achieved just by adding Eyelet Outlet Holiday Brads!

These particular sweaters are fussy-cut from a Photoplay patterned paper, but this idea would work with any sweater-shaped stamps, dies or SVG files; or swap for t-shirts if you live in a warmer climate! I chose to make mini-slimline cards with three sweaters across, but again, you could make a grid with LOTS of sweaters, or go clean-and-simple and add just a single one to each card.

My first card features a Candy Cane Brad, a Holiday Light and a Pine Tree; the latter makes another appearance on card #2, along with a Snowflake and an (on sale!Ornament Brad.

The third card sports a Bell Brad (also on sale!) a handsome Snowman and one of this year's brand new styles a Gift Brad.

There are lots more fun holiday brad styles in the Eyelet Outlet store, why not hop over and take a peek!

Easy Holiday Scene Making

Hello everyone! Today's card is a fun see-through card that uses a transparency sheet to connect the front of the card to the back of it. Two die cuts placed at the top and bottom are glued to the outside of the transparency. This allows you to see to the back of card. It's a cool effect.

Several Eyelet Outlet products were used to embellish the two glitter die cuts. I love the Christmas vibe mixed with a bit of nature in the form of the tree and deer brads.

These little Gingerbread brads are just the cutest! They are one of my favorite holiday brads from the store. The Snowflake Bling and the Snowflake Brads are so beautiful. They enhance any holiday card you might be working on.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you get to do some Christmas crafting this season. Don't forget that EO products can enhance your projects with ease! See you next week!
