Advent Calendar

Today I'm bringing you a Pinterest inspired project that I've wanted to make for several years now and finally got around to it this week!  I created an Advent Calendar for my granddaughter out of a muffin pan!

I began by cutting out circles from magnetic paper on my Cricut Maker.  The magnetic paper sticks to the muffin pan to cover the openings.

Next the fun started!  Creating fun little designs to embellish the magnetic circles! Most, if not all, of my designs were elements found in Cricut Design Space.

What really added to the project were the many Eyelet Outlet products I used!  The brad, bling, and enamel dots really jazzed this project up! Most came from our Holiday Collection.

I used vinyl to apply the "Merry Christmas, Love Grandma & Grandpa."  Just a little FYI to save you some grief if you should decide to make one - spray paint doesn't stick to Teflon! I found that out the hard way!  :(   Look for a pan that isn't coated with a non-stick surface if you want to spray paint it.

Each day from December 1st through Christmas Eve, she will get to open up a little prize of candy, small toy, or money.  I can't wait to give this to her!

Box Full of Sunshine

Good Thursday morning, crafty friends!  Today I'm bringing you a box full of Eyelet Outlet Sunshine!  Our sunshine brad pack also includes some wonderful clouds and are perfect for so many projects.

My cardboard box is an image from the Cricut Handy Man cartridge.  They Eyelet Outlet swirl bling was just the right touch to create an illusion of sunbeams.

Eyelet Outlet paper flowers come in so many pretty colors and patterns and we have dozens of options to embellish their centers.  Today I used the stick on Flower Jewels in Champagne.  The orange gingham washi paired with skinny yellow washi was just the finishing touch I needed for this card.  Check out the many wonderful washi tapes designs Eyelet Outlet carries!

Thanks for coming by and I hope your day is full of sunshine!

Washi Washi Wonderful

If you have some Eyelet Outlet Washi Tape, you're just minutes away from making your own custom background papers.

I start with scraps of paper (in this case, ivory cardstock) and cover it with rows of washi (vertical, horizontal, diagonal ... your choice) starting in the middle and moving outward alternating sides.

I use my non-stick sheet and extend the tape beyond the scrap so I can trim the sides to get a nice even finish.

For the first card I used this adorable Cat Love Washi Tape that has a vertical design.
The tape coordinates perfectly with the Kitty Brads.

My layout features this week's CAS(E) this Sketch together with a Paper Smooches Charmed Cat Two sentiment.

The next one used Awesome Washi Tape paired with a new Water Bottle Brad.

Layout is from Can You CASE it? and stamps are from Simon Says Stamp Running with Your Heart.

And the final card features the fabulous Book Washi Tape.  When I finished covering the paper, it felt like a Harry Potter Library ... so that is the theme I used.

I cut my tape-covered paper into three equal panels using a sketch from Try Stampin' - or Not - on Tuesday.

I added a Sketched Owl Brad & Compass Brad and computer generated my sentiment.  I think it will be a great graduation card.
