Fast, easy Thank You cards are simple when you pair Eyelet Outlet flower brads and washi tapes! Extra wide Sunflower Tape makes for beautiful diecuts and what could be better than Sunflower and Leaf Brads to adorn them? Or, try Coloring Book Washi with Stitched Flower Brads and a sweet Mini Bee to finish the design.

Oh, What a Stylish Web We Weave
Because ordinary spiders make everyday webs, but Eyelet Outlet Spider Brads (and Mini Spider Brads!) demand something a little fancier... like a beautiful mandala web on a gorgeous pink card:
I (Lauren) stamped an older Mandala from MFT onto plain white bristol board, and embossed with white powder, letting the design go off the top corner of the panel, to make it slightly more spider-web-like. Then, colored in the panel with a blend pink oxide inks. I let my Spider Brad and Mini Spiders move in and make themselves comfy; and added panels of Glitter Black Tape, Pink Foil and Coloring Book Tape... (which is actually leaves and flowers, but looks rather web-like if you trim it down to mat size!) ...and affixed the whole thing to my A7 card.
I hope you'll be inspired to get out your Eyelet Outlet goodies and see what kinds of Halloween fun you can cook up!

Inspired by... Catalogs?
Ideas can literally come from ANYWHERE, but one of my (Lauren's) --perhaps surprising-- sources are the silly t-shirts in novelty catalogs. I can't actually imagine BUYING such a shirt, but it's unusual for me to flick through and not see something I think would make a fun card. In this case, since I knew I had a couple of varieties of Eyelet Outlet Brads which would work perfectly (Kitten Brads and Long Cats) I've made two!
EDITED: Lauren has generously shared her quote in two fonts on the Freebie page...check the tab at the top of the blog! Thanks, Lauren!!
I've used the Kitten Brads as accents quite a few times (especially on Halloween cards!) but I'm glad they are finally getting their starring role. I made a base of Coloring Book Washi, mounted it on a panel of Big Dot Tape and finally added a small pink heart from the Multicolor Enamel Set. My sentiment is in a free font called AR Cena.
My second card uses a free font called AR Bonnie because I liked how its super skinny line paired perfectly with the Long Cat Brads. These guys are on clearance, which is happy because they're only $1.09 but sad because when we run out, they won't be coming back. I matted the sentiment on a panel with Geometric Tape and made the background from Paw Tape.
I hope you'll be inspired by something random and wonderful today... and then I bet we have some Eyelet Outlet Brads and Tape that will help make it into the perfect card!

Fruit Rhymes With "CUTE"
A coincidence? Maybe not. Certainly our Eyelet Outlet Apple, Cherry and Banana Brads would seem to imply a connection. So I (Lauren) have made a trio of tags to celebrate!
Here's a shocking true confession: when I made these tags, I didn't realize that the Banana Brads had recently gone out of stock in the online store, so I apologize about that! On the other hand, it's great incentive to visit the Eyelet Outlet Booth at a CKC or Expo near your town. Since EO does 25-30 tradeshows per year, the odds are you'll find at least one within driving distance! The booth is a great place to find brand new items that aren't officially out yet, as well as older things with just a few left. There are also cards and samples galore, more bling that you can possibly imagine and tons of fab washi tape! Check our sidebar for this year's schedule.
Meanwhile, I can tell you that the Coloring Book Wide Flower Tape that's on all the cards is still very much available, as are many of the Skinny Tape accents and the adorable Cherry Brads!
I hope you'll be inspired to "strive for five" servings of Fruit Brads per crafty day! ♥

And the Apple Brads are brand new from the Spring 2018 release. Don't you love that each packet has both pristine apples and super-cool cores?
loves fruit almost as much as she loves candy.

Washi Tape Envelopes
Washi Tape is a fun and easy way to decorate the envelopes for your cards.
I buy an assortment of envelopes from everywhere from discount stores to the local printing business. I love fun colors, but you can make them even more fun with some Washi Tape.
I buy an assortment of envelopes from everywhere from discount stores to the local printing business. I love fun colors, but you can make them even more fun with some Washi Tape.
For the tan envelope, I just wrapped the Wide Pineapple Washi Tape around the bottom of the envelope. If you're going to mail these, make sure you wrap in the direction that the auto-feeder will be least likely to catch your edge and don't finish on the edge that goes first into the feeder.
For the navy envelopes, I folded the Copper Dots Foil Washi Tape (it looks so elegant with navy) in half around all of the edges and then trimmed each end. When you do the flap, you just need to trim rather than fold, so you don't cover up the adhesive.
One trick I learned with the more solid washi tapes is to tear the piece of tape and place it adhesive-side-up, so you can center it more easily for folding around the edges. With the more translucent tapes it's easier to see the envelope edge.
Another trick I use with washi tape, is always to burnish with my Teflon bone folder after adhering to get a really solid adhesion.
For the yellow envelope, I thought it looked awesome wrapped with a few strips of the Wine Washi Tape.
And I love the look of the orange envelope wrapped (folded in half like the navy one) with the Wide Floral Washi Tape.
Go look through your Washi Tape collection and see what fun color & pattern combinations you can make.
Products Used:
- Pineapple Washi Tape - Wide
- Foil Washi Tape - Copper Dots
- Wine Washi Tape
- Coloring Book Washi Tape - Wide Flower

Let's Flamin-GO!!!
I suppose there must be people somewhere who dislike flamingos, but I (Lauren) have luckily never met them! And the new Eyelet Outlet Flamingo Brads are especially appealing, in my opinion!
This card was so much fun to make, I decided to use the leftovers to make an ATC, as well. I've used the same palette, and similar products, including another super-cute Flamingo Brad, obviously!
To show this handsome guy off to best advantage, I've chosen a palette of pinks, yellows and peach. This meant I could pull in some Sun and Cloud Brads, too; as well as a Heart Brad. With all that color in the little medallion shapes, I chose quite a neutral palette of text paper, with my favorite Leafy Coloring Book Washi Tape (left uncolored, however) and some Pearl Silver Swirl Bling.
