Just a Note

Hello EO fans! I hope you've had a great week. I'm here today with a thinking of you card. I made it for a friend who is having a few health problems right now and I hope this gave his spirits a lift.

On the front, I created a background with patterned cardstock and then I stamped, colored, and cut out the envelope and bird image. I added it to the front and then embellished with EO flower brads, Music Note brads, and Mini Bee Brads. I used Corner Brads in the upper corners and I also added black enamel dots to the bottom corner.

It's about Time!

I have a friend at work that is getting ready to retire so I wanted to make him a card to wish him the best.  After I made the card, I looked at it and something was missing.  It didn’t have the pizazz my cards usually have.  It was missing the “Stacy-tude” that comes with all my cards.

I grabbed my embellishments from Eyelet Outlet and found the absolute PERFECT brads and washi tape the card needed.  I added a Pocket Watch Brad, a phone from the Telephone and Fan Brads, two of the brushed silver Corner Brads, and some Clock Washi Tape

They matched the card so well it was like they were made to be put with this card.

That’s the thing with EO. They have any and every type of brad you can think of to add to your card so they can have the “Eva-tude”, the “Maddie-tude”, the “Mary-tude” …any tude you want!

Add your personal "tude" to your cards with EO!

Have a wonderful week and always be STRATE UP CRAFTY!

Just Breathe

Thankfully, the fashions featured on Eyelet Outlet Fashion Washi Tape are no longer in style!  Looking at those tight fitting corsets made me wonder how the women who wore those garments could even breathe - which gave me a great idea for a card!

I've always wanted to create something with one of the lovely ladies on the Cricut Victorian Romance cartridge and I knew this was my chance!  The antique look of the Eyelet Outlet Corner Brads really set off the card and added the perfect touch of texture.

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you're making plans to see Eyelet Outlet in person at one of the many trade shows we'll be at in 2018!  Check out our Trade Show Schedule for a city near you!

Random Acts of Kindness

Hi Everyone!
It's Nancy from kandykarazee and I have a couple
of treat boxes  to share with you today.

I used corner brads to frame the mats on the front of the boxes.
Love how perfectly the brads finish them off.

Added some yellow swirl bling to the front of one of the boxes.

Believe in Magic Mixed Media Art

I love to play with found items by placing them in a random order, covering them in gesso, and then starting with my own colors bringing out the texture and depth of the layers I just placed together.  I did just this in my mixed media project seen below.

I love that the Eyelet Outlet brads are so versatile that you can add them to all kinds of projects and they look amazing.  I picked out brads that were gold, vintage, and yellow and they all work so well!!

Brads used are the corner scrolls, pocket watches, gears, and stippled jeweled brads in yellow with a gold rim.

Here is a full video tutorial on how I made this fun project.

Here are some up close shots of the project with the brads.

Bee Beautiful Mini Book

I am in a mini book phase, they are so fun to make and just a chance to try fun techniques and get my hands all paint covered!!!

My inspiration for this mini book was bees, I kept seeing a bee/bug and I thought Bee Beautiful, would be wonderful for a title and then I went with the theme of yellow and black.  From there it just took on a life of its own.  I used a ton of paints and mists along with some various mediums with stencils.  I then added in some fun background stamps to help enhance the feel of the book.

Here is the first video which is filled with the cutting of the pages, mists, painting, stenciling, stamping, and a fun technique with the EZ Steam II material and glitter, embossing powder, and flower soft to add a great dimension and texture to the page.

From here I added in a few pictures of my little girl form this year, not many just there is room for more as the year goes along.  I also added in some fun bling, brads, and other little gems from Eyelet Outlet to enhance the entire effect.  I did not want to cover the pages up too much, I love the effect I got from all the mists, stamps, and stencils.

Here are some close up shots of some of the pages.
