HBD! Happy Birthday!

Happy Friday, crafty friends!  I am still working on building my stash of birthday cards, and it is so fun and easy to do using brads, as there are endless possibilities!

I have so many dog lovers in my life, so I made a card for one of them.  I started by wrapping a strip of white card stock with Dog Washi Tape.  I trimmed the front of my card base down and adhered the washi panel to the inside of the card base.  This allows the dogs to show on the front of the card when it is closed, and on the inside panel.

I wrapped another panel of white card stock with the washi tape and I die-cut the letters "h, b, d, and !" from that panel.  I adhered the HBD diagonally to a wood-grain kraft panel.   I embellished the panel with several of the Puppy Brads and Kennel Mix Brads before adhering to the card front.

I hope you are inspired to create something today!  This card was really a lot of fun to make!

Live Laugh Woof!

It's Janet here with a friendship card celebrating man's best friend. This card was made with several fun products from the store

This is a gatefold card, meaning that a flap folds from the left side and the right so that they meet in the middle of the card front. I made a matching panel to put on top. Only the left side is glued to the left flap so that it opens with ease.

Once the card base was constructed, I placed a border of Dog Washi Tape across the top and the bottom of the flaps. Before I glued the center patterned cardstock on to the brown mat, I applied the Live and Woof stickers. I cut the O out of the Love sticker and used a Paw brad instead. I added the dog house from the Kennel Mix brad set and the tallest of the dogs from the Puppy brad set. The cool thing about this set is that it matches the dog washi tape so well! The final touch was Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

Once completed, I glued the center panel on the brown mat. This way the back side with the brad's prongs are covered with cardstock. Then I glued the left side of the finished center panel to the left flap. This is a quick way to utilize stickers to make a quick but cute card. I picked up the sticker set at the Dollar Tree so it was inexpensive as well as perfect for this card.

Calling All Dog Lovers!

Since we are staying in so much those of us with dogs are having extra bonding time with our furry friends. Today's card celebrates the dogs in our lives and our human friends as the same time! How can you go wrong? Plus it's gender neutral which is handy. It features the matching Dog Washi Tape and Puppy Brads. I also used a Black Matte Enamel Dot on the center of the paper bow. The Friends sentiment was cut four times and layered to get the chunky look I was looking for. I also used a dog paw embossing folder which is hard to see in the photo.

Hot Diggity Dog!

I like to send the kids in my life happy mail now and then.  I think I enjoy making cards for them as much as they enjoy receiving them! Here's a little card I made with that purpose in mind.  When I saw the cute dog house SVG from Miss Kate's Cuttables I knew it would be a perfect home for one of my darling Eyelet Outlet puppy brads!

Seriously, these are the cutest little pups!  There's 3 different ones in the package, so it was hard to choose which one got to live in my little dog house!

We have coordinating washi tape for these puppies, too!  I used some around the base of my box card.  And you can't have dogs without paw prints, can you?  I added some of our paw print brads to the flaps of the box.

I hope I've inspired you to make some happy mail for the little ones in your life, too!  Thanks for stopping in today!

Pet Sympathy

Sadly, a family friend had to say good bye to their beloved dog this past week.  Today we remember Bailey with this sympathy card.

I used my Cricut Maker machine to make this card along with awesome Eyelet Outlet products.  One thing I especially love about the Cricut Maker, unlike previous Cricut machines, is that you can use the print-then-cut function on any color card stock, whereas only white card stock can be used with earlier models.  Here I used print then cut on gray card stock to create the paw print border.

I hole punched through the Eyelet Outlet Pink Enamel Heart to apply the paw print brad to this card.  I also used Dog Washi Tape and Pink & White Checked Skinny Washi Tape.

I'm glad you stopped in today!  Until next time, be sure and check us out on Instagram and Pinterest, too!
