He is Risen!

I love celebrating Easter! I love making memories with my family, giving Easter baskets, enjoying a traditional Easter dinner, and Easter egg hunting! But, more importantly, I love basking in the reason for our celebrating! Our Risen Savior, the hope of the world for indeed He is Risen!

I love creating backgrounds using Eyelet Outlet washi tapes! This background is called "Time for Flowers" and because it is a wider style, I only needed 3 rows. Next, I created my cross using the wood washi adhered to cardstock and my purple drape from the purple washi. I added white flowers in 2 different sizes with a little shading of pink distress ink and a green jewel for embellishment. Lastly, I stamped my Easter greeting! He is Risen! Yes, He is Risen, Indeed! I hope you have a blessed Easter Sunday celebrating with family and friends!

He is Risen!

I have really enjoyed creating Easter cards over the last couple weeks! This one I created is very special! It is a reflection of the true meaning of Easter! It is the reason we celebrate! He is Risen!

In creating this card, I started with stamping my multi cross background and adding distress inks to white cardstock. I then used the beautiful "time for flowers" wide washi tape for the bottom center. Since I do not have a stamp that says "He is Risen", I thought it would be fun to pull out my vintage typewriter to create the greeting label. I layered with brown cardstock and 2 paper flowers centered with a gold cross. I added several pearl bling in brown for embellishment and tied a lace ribbon around the middle and layered on a gold patterned cardstock to finish it off. I hope you enjoy!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you and your family have a blessed Easter celebration!

Easter Gift Tag Idea!

Do you create Easter gift baskets or treat bags for family and friends for Easter? I have a cute tag idea for you to easily add to your basket or treat bag!

I started with stamping and coloring in my bunny "Happy Easter" image. After coloring with markers, I added ladybugs and bumble bee brads to my image. I then embellished the corners by layering yellow and white paper flowers and colored brads from the summer mix collection! So fun and easy to assemble! You can easily create several at a time for Easter baskets and treat bags! I hope you enjoy!

Here Come Peter Cottontail...

 Hopping down the bunny trail!

Easter is such a fun time to create special cards and notes to slip into Easter baskets! I loved playing with the rabbit brads in chocolate and pastel! For Peter, I added little "brass buttons" for his coat using the champagne swirl bling jewels. And of course my new favorite green grass washi was perfect! Lastly, I used the light purple glitter washi for my border.

I hope this inspires you to create some fun Easter cards for your friends and family! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for your crafting needs!

Everybunny's HOPPY!

Oddly enough, this Eyelet Outlet Easter card has NO brads on it... HOW is that even possible? Well of course I (Lauren) love our Brown Rabbit Brads and our Pastel Rabbit Brads, but there are also quite a few awesome Bunny Tapes and Rabbit Washi styles, and I've used two of them here:

I applied both styles of tape in neat strips onto plain white cardstock. Then I used two alphabet die sets (Altenew's Bold Alphas and Lawn Fawn's Henry's ABCs) to cut out the sentiment from the colorful Bunny Tape. I fussy cut five sweet little dudes from Wide Rabbit Washi to peep out from the letters of "Hoppy" and added a few pink Heart Enamel accents. I layered the whole design over a couple of strips of Pink Check Tape and called it a day.

Happy Easter, Everybunny

Even if you have LOTS of patterned paper... (and I, Lauren, do!) ...sometimes you still don't have exactly what you want for a particular card. In this case, I wanted a text paper that said "Happy Easter" so I typed it myself! It's the perfect home for my Eyelet Outlet Rabbit Brads, whom I've given a little landscape to inhabit, by adding a Sun and Cloud Brad and a Mini Butterfly, as well as some punched grass and an oversized diecut tulip to frame up the whole thing.

This week I wish you a Happy Passover or Happy Easter, if you are celebrating; or just an extra nice second week of Spring!

would definitely enjoy
a chocolate bunny right now!

An EGG-cellent Easter

Easter cards are an excellent place for puns! If you go with someBUNNY, anyBUNNY or everyBUNNY you can bring in Rabbit Brads or Pastel Rabbits. On the other hand, if you switch over to Chick Brads and bring in Colored Eggs (or ordinary Egg Brads, for that matter) that gets you even more EGG-citing, EGG-stra special, EGG-cellence, like this card! To make it into a little landscape, I've added a Sun and Cloud Brad as well as some Mini Stitched Flowers, tucked behind layers of punched grass.

For an even faster background, you can always grab Easter Egg Tape, Egg Washi, or one of our Rabbit Washi or Bunny Tape varieties in the Eyelet Outlet Store!

can never resist a pun!

It's an EGG-stravaganza!

Easter is only a few days away but I (Lauren) couldn't resist making one more special card with my leftover Eyelet Outlet Easter goodies!

I still had plenty of the adorable Chick Brads, but only three Colored Eggs. So i decided to "make a scene" lol, in the literal sense. I've got Cloud Washi and a Sun and Cloud Brad for sky; and punched two levels of patterned paper grass, so I could raise one on foam tape to "hide" the eggs. I scattered a couple of Mini Stitched Flower Brads in there too, for extra interest.

Wishing the happiest of Easters to everyone who is celebrating! ♥

has entirely resisted Easter candy...
so far... :)

No Foolin'!

The calendar says April first, but we are getting SERIOUSLY cute over here, thanks to the Eyelet Outlet Pastel Rabbits and Bright Stitched Flower Brads! ♥

Inchies are always a fun way to showcase small items like brads, and making a grid of inchies is a nice way to fill a card. I used a 1" and a 1.5" square punch on lots of little paper scraps in shades that coordinate with the adorable Pastel Rabbits. But before I got to that point, I did a fast mock up to pair the Bunnies with the Stitched Flowers so that there were no repeats next to each other, then I snapped a pic with my phone so I would remember!

I left the last two (or perhaps the first two?) squares of the grid empty, so there would be a place to put my sentiment. After I attached all the Bunny Inchies with foam tape, I embellished with some tiny Pearl Bling and mounted the whole thing on a white 6" square card.

I hope you'll hop over to the Eyelet Outlet Store and check out all of the fab Easter goodies!

Happy, Hoppy, Easter

Easter is hopping our way pretty quickly, but there's still time to make a few cards for somebunny special! And of course Eyelet Outlet has all the brads, tape, bling and sequins you could possibly need. I (Lauren) am not the best engineer in the world, but I couldn't resist making a fun Easter shaker card:

This might be the deepest shaker card of all time, it can very nearly qualify as a diorama, lol! I was trying to make a little scene for the adorable Rabbit Brads to inhabit, and of course I had to hide some Colored Eggs in the tall grass; so somehow the layers just kept increasing. Plus it was a beautiful day so I needed Sun and Cloud Brads. Then obviously it wouldn't be a shaker card without some lovely pale blue Sequins to match the sky!

Hop on over to the Eyelet Outlet Store where there are lots more Easter treats, like ChicksPastel RabbitsChocolate Bunny Brads and did I mention the Washi Tape...? ;)

Chick or Treat

Everyone wants to meet some cute chicks, especially at Eastertime, right? So I (Lauren) am happy to introduce you to our brand new, totally adorable, Eyelet Outlet Chick Brads!

I can never resist a diabolical pun, so as soon as I paired the Chicks with the Colored Eggs I knew what the sentiment had to be! I also added a plain white Egg Brad to which I gave a substantial "crack" with permanent marker, a Mini Stitched Flower Brad and a Heart Enamel. To make a fun coordinating background I neatly lined up strips of Pink and Green ZigZag Tape on some plain white cardstock, then trimmed it to size like any other patterned paper.

Of course, not everyone celebrates Easter, but that doesn't mean they have to miss out on colorful cardmaking fun. For my second card I added more Chicks and Colored Eggs to a journal card with the perfect sentiment, and to turn it into a little scene I punched some grass and affixed Sun and Cloud Brads to the top corner. A small Pink Pearl to dot the "i" finishes the whole thing off nicely.

No matter what holidays you're looking forward to this Spring, I bet Eyelet Outlet has Brads and Tape that will help make your cards EGG-stra special! :)

can literally NEVER
resist a diabolical pun!

Hippity, Hoppity...

...Happy (almost) Easter Daaaaaaaay! Hi folks, it's Lauren here again, wishing you a very happy holiday if you're celebrating. Or just an especially nice weekend if you are not. Either way, why not treat yourself to a chocolate bunny... or at least... some Eyelet Outlet Chocolate Bunny Brads?

I've heard that some people don't actually enjoy chocolate?! So luckily we also have realistic looking Rabbit Brads and super cute Pastel Rabbits as well. Of course all bunnies love Carrots so I've grabbed a few out of the Vegetable Brad set. And Easter wouldn't be the same without beautiful Colored Eggs, but we've also got plain (white and tan) Egg Brads, should you need some. (And there are fried eggs in the Breakfast Brad set, too!)

My second card is an all-occasion greeting, but it's in pretty Spring colors, so I thought I'd post it here too. This one features my favorite Hugs and Kisses Tape plus some Skinny Washi and Pastel Hearts Enamels.

Happy Easter and Happy Spring!!!

Happy Easter Bunnies

There are several adorable varieties of Eyelet Outlet bunny brads, including Pastel Rabbits and Chocolate Bunnies but the realistic looking Rabbit Brads might just be my (Lauren) favorite!

I use my nested dies most often to cut perfect circles which I then attach to whatever project I'm making. But it's just as easy to use them to create negative space, like these layered windows which frame up my adorable Rabbit Brads. I punched strips of grass in a couple shades of green for the bunnies to hide behind, then added some Mini Stitched Flowers and a Mini Butterfly to complete the scene. A strip of Pink Bunny Washi Tape dresses up the top layer of my card and a simple typed sentiment finishes it off.

I hope you'll be inspired to use your favorite dies in fun new ways!

Happy and Hoppy

Easter is fairly late this year, which means we have plenty of time to make Easter cards! But when you see all the fun Eyelet Outlet Easter products, I (Lauren) don't think you'll want to wait!

I started with an Easter-themed journal card... surely those are the best time-saver EVER for cardmakers? I stamped and fussycut the sweet bunny from Pretty Pink Posh's Holiday Pals set, and then I got straight to the fun embellies! To the pre-printed striped egg and flowers I added Stitched Flower BradsMini Stitched Flowers, a Pastel Rabbit, an Egg Brad decorated with a strip of Skinny Washi and of course you cannot send a bunny out into the world without a carrot, right? So here's one from the Vegetable Brads set. I also added in an 1/8" Round Brad everywhere there was a little circle on the journal card... which means that each of the printed flower centers AND all of the scallops around the edge got one! I added a few pastel layered mats before mounting the whole thing to a 5.5" square card I had adorned with neatly lined up strips of Pink and Green Zig Zag Tape!

I hope you'll hop on over to the Eyelet Outlet shop and see what Easter goodies are in store!

EGG-straordinary EGG-cellence

The other day I (Lauren) suddenly realized that despite all the Easter cards I've made this year with my awesome Eyelet Outlet goodies, I hadn't yet made a card with our Colored Egg Brads. So clearly I *had to* make one more Easter card!

Something I discovered a couple of years ago is that standard half inch washi tape is exactly the right width to fit between the staves of most sheet music. Which, as you know, is one of my favorite backgrounds for cards; I use it exactly like ordinary patterned paper. As a bonus, the strong horizontal lines of sheet music mean that lining up tape and brads and bling is a breeze... you don't even have to measure!

For this card I've combined the Rabbit Washi Tape with Rabbit Brads and Colored Egg Brads, then added a sentiment with two different sets of alphabet stickers so the "EGGCELLENT" would stand out even more!

I'd like to wish a very Happy Easter to all who are celebrating; and an especially wonderful First Weekend of April to everyone else! ♥

secretly still loves the Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs
that were her childhood favorite!

Have a Happy --or Hoppy-- Easter (or Both!)

Hi folks it's Lauren here again with a couple more super-easy Easter card ideas for you that combine Eyelet Outlet tape, brads and bling!

My first card features the fastest paper pieced bunny EVER: I've used Skinny Checked tape and punched a one inch circle, a half inch circle and two leaves for ears, assembled them and added a Clear Edge Pink Jewel as a tail. This guy is so cute, I had to let him hop right into my sentiment in place of the "O"!

I formatted the rest of my letters in a fun free font called "La Unica", printed them out about 1.25" tall (perfect for an A2 card) and then used the pattern to cut one set made from plain Bunny Tape and one set from Bunny Tape surrounded by strips of Pink Checked Tape. I decided I liked the latter best with the pieced bunny, so I mounted them on foam tape and used stickers for the rest of my sentiment.

Since I had the Bunny Tape set of letters leftover, I decided to make another card. This time I made a panel with Green Pattern Tape, set on a mat of Pink Checked Tape to hold my sentiment and my bunny mascots are two Rabbit Brads, flanking the word "Easter".

I'm pretty sure EVERYbunny would love to get a fun card for Easter... why not get out your Eyelet Outlet tape and brads to make your own masterpieces?

Easter candy and other treats!
(...just sayin'...)
