World's Best POP

There's new brads at Eyelet Outlet!  I've been enjoying the new soda cans and cooler brads a LOT!  

I couldn't resist making a little gift tag with one of the "POP" cans!  I also added a couple of heart brads, a star enamel shape to the little boy's shirt and a gem to the flower on the little girl's shirt.

Susan's Top Love Notes

I've made quite a number of love themed cards through the years.  I often give a few in gift box to brides to be as a shower gift and of course, I give one to my love on Valentine's Day. Choosing my top 3 favorites was more difficult than I expected it to be!

I'm always up for a funny/punny card and I especially love using Eyelet Outlet brads in unique ways, so this love note/Valentine card from 2017 featuring the Eyelet Outlet pig and cloud brads had to make my top three list. 

Also from 2017, another favorite was this card featuring the Eyelet Outlet coffee bean brad.

Last year was my "Shaker Card Period" and here's one of my favorites from that collection.  This card features some of Eyelet Outlet's many shine and bling products.  I used the star sequins inside the shaker as well as some stick on gems on the eye glasses and here and there between the enamel hearts.  You'll want some of our beautiful silver glitter star washi tape, too, I'm sure!

Starry-Eyed

You'll be starry-eyed over Eyelet Outlet's star shaped sequins!  Here I've used them to create a unique shaker card with a cute pair of eyeglasses from the Cricut image library.  

I've embellished the corners of the eyeglasses with some clear stick on gems and also added the gems around the enamel hearts in the bottom right corner of the card.  For some more sparkle and shine, I used a strip of glitter star washi tape and a couple of strips of skinny blue glitter washi tape. I finished off with a few enamel stars, too.

You're An All-Star!

This high top shoe from Cricut's Suburbia image set has made me smile from the first time I saw it, years ago, but what really ELEVATED it was adding Eyelet Outlet eyelets to it!  I also added blue enamel stars to this card, in the sentiment as well as on the shoe's patch.

I used both dark and faded blue jean patterned paper to form a cuff and then I had some fun with three different Eyelet Outlet washi tapes to create a border for my card.  Strips of red and white washi tape are accentuated by skinny red as well as skinny black and white washi tape.

Witches!! (and more)

Hi there!  It's Kim from Katydid Cards with you today.

Last week I shared a few cards featuring Eyelet Outlet's new Ghost Brads.  Today I have two more to share with you in which witches figure prominently.  That doesn't mean I didn't take advantage of some other great brads like the Ghosts, Pumpkins, Cats, Witch Hat, and Witch Legs brads AND a sneak peek of another newly released brad...the Broom!  (And wait 'til you see what else is in that package!)

First up is a shaped card created using a cut file purchased in the Silhouette store.  The witch silhouette is also from the store...I cut and sized her to fit perfectly on the flying broom.  The pumpkins come in two different colors for variety and look great together AND they are a perfect perch for the black cat peering through the gate what lies beyond.  I used Silver Glitter Enamel Dots on the gate as an accent.

When you open the gates...if you dare...you are greeted by a trio of ghosts.  Maybe they came from the graveyard!  Did I scare you?

Next, we have a little play on words which incorporates the witch hat and legs( and that adorable boom again).  I changed and rearranged a title from the Silhouette store and then color matched it to the brads.  It's triple matted and peeks through the opening from inside the card.  Gold Glitter Enamel Stars surround the opening with two bat brads at the bottom to finish.

1...2...3...Smile!

We just got back from a vacation at my in-laws, spending most of our time visiting with family and fishing on the lake, but evenings and rainy days were filled with Nona's favorite old classics on TCM and Me TV, some even in black and white!  So here's a card to go along with the black and white movie night theme!  

This layout started with a criss-cross of film strip washi tape (also available in gold) and camera washi tape along with a sprinkling of black enamel stars, dots, and hearts.

More dots, stars, and hearts carry the theme to the inside of the card.  I love this quote!  

As fun as vacation was, there's no place like home! (Couldn't resist a classic old movie quote!)  I'm glad to have the weekend to recover and get back into the groove.  I hope you have a great weekend too!
