Wickedly Ghoulish Cake

Hello everyone! Would anyone care for a piece of haunted cake? Yes? Well, you're in luck! I have made a special cake that adds to the spooky fun of anyone's Halloween table.

This cake and table were made with dies from Cottage Cutz. It's a black forest cake with green glowing slime, I mean, frosting on top. I added several spooky brads from Eyelet Outlet to make it even more perfect for the occasion. After putting the dies together, I added some green glitter to the frosting. Then I cut an orange mat and a larger nested mat out of patterned paper. The purple mat was made by cutting a rectangle out of cardstock using a border scissor. Remember those? They definitely still are useful for quick mats and by rediscovering them I'm making some old tools new again!

I hope I've inspired you to think about your spooky brads and to pick up some new ones for your own Halloween cards, treat boxes, bags, or even tags. You still have time if you get on your broom now and fly to the store! Here's some great ones used on my cake that provide many options for your projects.

Thanks for joining me here today. Please visit the EO store for all your brads, washi tape, bling and paper flowers!

Happy Creating!

If The Shoe Fits

When the shoes fit, you know you need to go ahead and buy all the accessories to match, right?! Here's a fun little Halloween card for a gal pal

When I saw this sentiment in the Cricut image library I knew right away that Eyelet Outlet brads would take it to the next level. I used witch leg brads, witch hat brad, and a broom brad for loads of interest on this card.

Eyelet Outlet has everything you need for your autumn projects, so be sure and stock up now so you'll be ready when the leaves begin to fall.

Haunted House Hallow

Do you like haunted houses? I most definitely DO NOT. The only ones that I can handle are the ones I build with paper…lol. I know what it is lurking behind every corner. And in this week’s creation, there are plenty of scary surprises hiding all over.

This spectacular feat of a creation took me over two days to complete. Between the cutting of the hundreds of pieces, the embossing and inking of the pieces and the actual assembly, this haunted house was the most labor and time intensive piece I’ve ever created, and I am pretty thrilled on how it turned out.

Being approximately 8” deep and 10” tall, I knew Eyelet Outlet and I were going to have some fun
accessorizing. It’s like earrings, you never leave your haunted house unaccessorized.  πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

After I assembled it, I added spiderwebs all over made from Q-Tips. Some of the webs even have spooky spiders waiting for a moth to unexpectedly get trapped. There is even a spider coming down from the roof to check on her egg sack.

One the very top in the wrought iron dΓ©cor, is a ghost peeking over to see who dares to enter.

Looking to the left, two spooky eyeballs are glaring out. I would hate to see who, or what, those eyes
belong to.

Those aren’t the only eyes protecting the house. There are six other sets of red Bling eyes.
Can you find them all?

Looking at the base of the house, you will see a layer of aged bricks from Bricks Washi Tape.

If you dare to approach the front door, two blood red Bling jewels help coax, I mean, guide you in.

Once you are walking up the stairs, make sure you look down to the right. It looks like the house may
have landed on a wicked witch!!! I don’t think we are in Kansas anymore!

The wrap around porch has a handmade paper rocker and another blood red Bling doorknob.

If you do dare to visit the haunted house, make sure you do it during the day because at night is a
WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY!

Several LED tealight candles light up the windows and look who is peacefully sitting in her rocker…. it’s MOTHER! I advise staying out of that room for sure!

This is enough scary for me. I will stick with the candy parts of Halloween! Hope you enjoyed this one!
Happy Halloween everyone and save your Kit Kats for MEEEEE! 😁😁

Have a wonderful week and always be STRATE-UP CRAFTY!

I've Fallen In and I Can't Get Out!

Hello crafty friends!  Happy Friday!  As much as I love fall, it is so hard for me to come to terms with the fact that Halloween is nearly here.  It is still 80 degrees here in the Pacific Northwest, which is just bizarre!

Anyhow, I made a fun Halloween card and couldn't wait to share it with you!  I started by making a cauldron using my Cricut and set it aside.

I stuck with the black and orange layers, as I really wanted the brad and cauldron colors to stand out.  I used the Witch Leg Brads upside down to make it appear that the witch fell in the cauldron and added a Witch Hat Brad at the base of the cauldron.  Lastly, I pulled apart one of the Jewel Green Swirl Bling Embellishments so that I could use the jewels individually and scattered them on the card front.

Thanks so much for spending a few minutes with me!  I would love to know if you make and send Halloween cards or not!  Please make sure to leave us a comment and share!

Witch Way To The Candy

I had SO MUCH fun with this one!  I had this idea for a skirt from a rosette and it took a few tries to get the skirt the right size for the rest of the witch and the amazing witch leg brads, but once I got it, I LOVED it!

If you haven't tried the Eyelet Outlet's grass washi tape, please do! You'll thank me later!!  It's got such a nice feel to it and easy to use.  I added some skinny glitter washi tape to the witch's hat as well.

The fence was calling out for a kitten brad, and of course, Eyelet Outlet has those, too!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Witch Shaker Card

Shaker cards are a lot of fun to make and Eyelet Outlet's awesome sequin collection makes filling them even more fun!

Today my witch has gone head first into a cauldron of beautiful purple round sequins and our purple stick on gems are bubbling up around her.  Aren't these witch leg brads just the cutest things ever?  I've also added a witch's hat and a broom brad to this card.

I created this card on my Cricut and if you've got a Cricut and would like to make it, too, I've shared the file for it on my Cricut Profile.

Thanks for stopping by today and if you're in the San Marcos, Texas are this weekend, stop by the vender fair at the Creating Keepsakes Convention and pick up all the brads, gems, and sequins for this card.

Spoiler Alert: It Ends with "Zebra"

Yes, we've come to the fourth and final post of the Eyelet Outlet Alphabetical Brad ATC's! It's so exciting, I'm going to show off the entire set and then we'll talk about the letters S through z.

And here are the individual cards, with all their brad styles listed:

S: Safety Pins, Shells (in the form of Shell CornersShells and Seashore Brads), the Sun from our Sun and Cloud set, one of two styles of Sunglass Brad, and a Sleigh direct from the North Pole.

T: A Tractor Brad is a fine addition to any haul, while Tissues (and TP) come from the Toilet Paper and Tissue Brad set, (Summer) TreesTool Brads are great, but of course they need a Toolbox.

U and V: The U.S.A. is represented by our Patriotic Flag and Hat Brads, and the Utensils are called Silverware Brads, but the Unicorn is from the Unicorn and Rainbow set; a Vacuum from the Vacuum and Broom Brads (on sale!), both halves of the Video Game set and a Valise which is technically the Suitcase from our Travel Set.

W: A lovely Wreath, some Water Lillies from the Frog set, a champagne toast from the Wedding Brads, a Witch Hat and some Witch Legs.

X, Y and Z: An Xmas Tree (technically listed as a Pine Tree Brad) and a Skull Brad who's standing in as an X-ray; these cute Yellow Jackets are actually Bumble Bee Brads (there are Mini Bee Brads also) and the Yolk is in the center of the Fried Egg from our Bacon, Egg and Toast Brads; finally we've got Zinfandel from the Wine Brad set and a Zebra from the second Jungle Mix, called Lion, Tiger Zebra Brads

That concludes our EO Brad Alphabet, but of course there are lots more brads (plus washi tape, bling, flowers and more!) in the Eyelet Outlet Online Store; and be sure to consult the sidebar and look for the EO Booth at a tradeshow near you!

hopes you enjoyed the

Halloween Treat Bags

Decorating these little Halloween treat bags was such fun!  There's so many amazing Halloween themed embellishments available at Eyelet Outlet, as you can see from this project. And there's even more at EyeletOutlet.com

This little witch is from Cricut's Mini Monster's image set, but I substituted Eyelet Outlet Witch Legs brads for the originals.  I also used Eyelet Outlet Eye brads on her face and a round jeweled brad on her dress.  The jeweled brads are on sale now, too!   There's a mini spider brad in that cob web as well as a cute black kitten brad in the corner.

And don't forget about the washi tape!  I used some purple glitter tape on my witch's hat as well as a few strips of black and white and some Happy Halloween tape.

Thanks for being with us today and be sure and check back next week and see our newest brads!

Witchful Thinking

Halloween is just a month away, but there's still time to make some fun (and fast!) cards with Eyelet Outlet Halloween Brads!

This sweet little witch diecut was part of a seasonal collection from a year or two ago, and when I saw her again while looking for something else, I realized that she was the perfect size for out Witch Leg Brads! And where there's a witch, you are bound to find a few black cats... or in this case... Kitten Brads; one of whom is very curious about what might be under that Witch Hat

We've also got Pumpkins and GhostsCandy Corn and MonstersSpiders and Owls and lots more Halloween fun at Eyelet Outlet!

is "witching" she had
some Halloween candy!

"You Call Me a Witch..."

A couple of weeks ago I (Lauren) saw a Halloween card with this sentiment on it and literally laughed out loud. Of course, I'm bound to say I think a version which includes Eyelet Outlet Witch Hat and Witch Leg Brads is even better, right?

I made my focal point sentiment with my trusty Dymo Labelmaker, but swapped out the word "witch" in favor of some glamorous enamel and rhinestone letter stickers. I added a Witch Hat Brad to the sweet little patterned paper icon, and affixed my Witch Leg Brads to the background underneath where the circle would go. I couldn't resist the finishing touch of a Spider Brad in one corner and a pair of Mini Spider Brads dangling from machine stitches in the other.

Wishing you a very Happy Halloween if you're celebrating tomorrow, or just an especially nice Thursday if you're not. ♥

Kick Up Your Heels for Halloween!

I made Halloween treats for the kiddos in my life this week and it was so much fun!

The shoe is from Cricut's Princess Party image set and I cut it as large as would fit on a 12 x 12 piece of card stock and this allowed for the width of the Oreo cookies.  It was quite easy to assemble, too.

The fun part was creating the embellishment for the front of the shoe and the tags I tied to the cookie bags.  Eyelet Outlet has AMAZING brads for Halloween and they added such super touch to my shoes!

Here I've added an Eyelet Outlet Mini Spider Brad to the cobweb on the front.

Our little Ghost Brads are so adorable!

My granddaughter is not a fan of chocolate so she's getting socks in her shoe!

Our Witch Leg Brads really kept with my theme! I also added a little purple stick on bling bubbling from my cauldron!

Our Pumpkin Brads are always popular!  Here I've added some Eyelet Outlet green swirl bling.

Thanks for stopping by today!
