Llama Birthday Wishes!

 I thought this Llama was so adorable and would pair perfectly with the NEW Pinata Brad set!

I added my diecut Llama to colorful, striped patterned paper then stamped my curly hangers to add the pinatas! I did add foam tape behind 2 pinatas for extra pop! I embellished with colorful enamel dots, bling, and pearls, along with the new pinata brads!

To create a fun and colorful inside of my birthday card, I added more hanging pinatas, light purple washi tape, and the pink pearl strip! I think this would be a delightful birthday greeting card!

Sweet Sugar Skulls and Bad Mom Jokes

Introducing one of Eyelet Outlet’s BRAND-NEW brads that were just released…. the SUGAR SKULLS!!!! 

As soon as I saw these brads, I HAD to make a card...and I’m not pulling your leg…bone.  All the bright colors and the beautifully intricate details in the flowers just shout CREATE!

 For my card, I looked through my stash and found some cardstock that matched the colors of my new boney brads.  Actually, I found a whole section of cardstock dedicated to sugar skulls that I had put away for just an occasion like this.

I fussy cut the three large sugar skulls out of the cardstock along the all the flowers and heart emblems. After layering all the cut outs in glitter and then white cardstock, I adhered them down to my card front.

 

You know me and bling! It wouldn’t be a Stacy card if it wasn’t rockin’ some bling. I ended up using two different sized jewel bling in purple and green and then cut some little swirls off of the jewel green Swirl Bling for two of the skulls.

 

I added some cute dancing skeletons on the bottom.  They are so happy they finally got to go to the dance.  Usually, they have “no-body” to go with.  Don’t worry about them though, they don’t let anything get under their skin (and you’re welcome 😊).

The final and best touches to the card, of course, are the three amazing sugar skull brads I placed on top of the heart emblems.

Delightful Daisy Den Luminary

Happy Saturday Everyone!!

Here she is.  The last in the Cottage Collection!  Just as special as the others, this is the Delightful Daisy Den.

The Daisy Den is, of course, bedazzled with several different types of daisy brads all from Eyelet Outlet. The roof is adorned with five daisies from the Colored Daisy brads and the White Daisy brads. The front door is spotlighted with several Bright Flower Quicklet Eyelets and Green Pearl Bling in the center of each flower.

The roof is made from the Glitter Chevron Washi Tape and the Blue Glitter Washi tape. The side paneling and the front step are also made from the Blue Glitter Washi tape. Around the base of the Daisy Den are some delicate multicolored tulips from the Tulip Washi tape.

 Sprinkled all over, you will find green sparkles from the Light Green Jewel Strip.

And…of course…It lights up!  The roof lifts off where I’ve placed a battery-operated candle that shines beautifully through the velum windows.

Something Sweet...

 Just for you!

This summer, I am enjoying creating fun tags to add to gifts! This summery, sun-shiny, mason jar tag is so fun! I added a light script stamp background to the white mason jar. I created a band using patterned papers and a simple sentiment. I added the new adorable lemon and lime brads and jewel stickers in green. Next, I created a "just for you" tag for the top of the mason jar and used a green brad from the summer mix brad collection to hold it in place! Lastly, I topped off my mason jar with mixed twine ribbons!

The Bumblebee Cottage Luminary

Happy Saturday Everyone!! I absolutely LOVE making 3-D pieces and knew I wanted to make one for this week’s project.  I was stuck on what I should make.  I had a ton of ideas in my head but one morning, I went out back to my raised garden and saw these beautiful bumblebees buzzing around my cucumber plants, I knew right then what I needed to make!  A BUMBLEBEE COTTAGE LUMINARY!

 Luckily, I already had a template to get me started and then I was off in my own little bumblebee world!!

I loved adding my own personal touches to the actual cottage. Rather than using preprinted cardstock, I made my own cardstock out of Washi tape from Eyelet Outlet!  This allowed me to be as creative as I wanted to be.  I wasn’t stuck in that preprinted "box".

 I ended up using the wide Butterfly Washi tape for the walls and roof of the cottage and embossed them to give more depth. For the floral base, I used the Flower Washi tape to give it a nature feel. The walls, roof and windows are all decorated with a multitude of bling to make sure the bumblebees will always be able to see the sparkle of their cottage. On the roof, around the base of the cottage and the base of the floral stand, we have the clear Jewel Strips while the windows are all decorated in either clear Jewel Strips or green Jewel Strips.

 The beautiful flower that greets the bumblebees is made from the purple Paper Flowers and the white Paper Flowers with a dainty purple Cut Jewel in the center.

 

And what would the Bumblebee Cottage be without bumblebees?!?!  We have our three locals, Barnabee, Beeatrice and Buzz bringing in the day's pollen. These cuties are Bumblebee brads.

Ohhh…who’s that???  I see a ladybug or two scouting around the cottage. Can you find them? They are from the Ladybug brad collection.

 What about when they are out searching for pollen late at night?  How will they find their cottage?  Not to worry!! IT LIGHTS UP!!!  The whole top removes to reveal a base with two battery operated candles that light up the night sky!

Have you ever needed the perfect cardstock for your project but couldn’t find what you wanted?

Well, that’s exactly what happened to me when I started to create this.  I knew I wanted the highlight to be pastel macarons, but didn’t have any cardstock that fit what I wanted. So, with the help of Eyelet Outlet, I created EXACTLY what I wanted using the Macaron washi tape.  The flexibility using this washi tape allowed me to accent the exact colors I wanted. It turned out beyond what I was hoping for!! 

After creating the perfect macaron “cardstock”, I was able to continue bringing my balloon to life. The Macaron Balloon is bejeweled with eight light green 4mm jewels around the top bunting, eight green 8mm cut jewels around the bunting in the middle, and 12 light green 4mm jewels around the basket.

And what’s a balloon ride without a sip or two of wine? If you look closely in the basket, you will see a bottle of white wine from the Mixed Wine Bottle Eyelets sitting on a cute, little table. Cheers!

You can let your imagination SOAR when you use washi tape to create patterned cardstock.  The SKY'S the limit!
