Love & Donuts!

Hi everyone! Today my card theme is love and donuts. I'm a donut lover and this card makes me both happy and hungry!

I made this card with backgrounds made of washi tapes. The Heart Washi Tape perfectly fit my theme and I love the cheery red background with pink hearts. The yellow mat is made with Glitter Gold Washi Tape. It's the perfect backdrop to the Coffee Brads, Donut Brads and the hearts from the Card Suit Brads. The best part are the small Pearl Bling accents on the donut. Pink, blue, white, and purple pearls are perfect as donut sprinkles!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope I've inspired you to make a food inspired card. What's your favorite treat? Likely there's a brad for that!

Find all your bling and brads now at the store. All bling is on clearance for only $1 each. This is a sell out so once it's gone, it's gone! Many brads are also on sale so take a trip to the store and shop for all of your own treasures!

Sweet Treats & Sparkle: A DIY Valentine’s Twix Wrap

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and sometimes the best gifts come in the smallest (and sweetest) packages. If you’re looking to elevate a simple store-bought snack into a shimmering token of affection, this handmade candy bar wrap is the perfect project!

Today, I’m showing you how to dress up a standard Twix Bar using some of my favorite supplies from Eyelet Outlet.

The beauty of this project is that it is 100% customizable. While I designed this specifically for a Twix Bar, you can adapt this technique to any treat.

How to Measure:

Simply decide on the height you want for your wrap. Then, wrap your paper around the bar to measure the width, ensuring you leave enough overlap in the back to glue it securely.

The Base:

For this project, I used a gorgeous shimmer paper as my main base. It provides a sturdy structure and that essential holiday glow.

Step-by-Step Design

Once your shimmer paper is cut to size, it’s time to layer on the love:

  1. Add a Pop of Red: I cut a piece of red cardstock to act as a focal mat. I sized it so that when it’s centered on the wrapper, there is about a 1/4" border of shimmer paper peeking out from the edges.

  2. Washi Wonder: Before gluing the red cardstock down, I covered the entire piece with Heart Washi Tape. It’s an instant pattern-maker!

  3. Sentiments & Shapes: I stamped and fussy-cut a sweet Valentine sentiment along with a heart ephemera piece to serve as my centerpieces.

The "Bling" Factor: Eyelet Outlet Accents

The real magic happens with the embellishments. To give the wrap dimension and personality, I used a variety of Eyelet Outlet brads. I love using these because they act as both a fastener and a decoration!

The Brads: I used two of each to create a balanced, whimsical look:

Heart Brads (because you can never have too many hearts!).
Mini Ladybug Brads for a tiny, "love bug" surprise.
Butterfly Brads for a touch of fluttery romance.

The Finishing Touch: To catch the light, I added two Heart Jewels for that final bit of Valentine’s sparkle.

Ready to Share!

Just wrap your decorated shimmer paper around the Twix bar, secure it with a bit of adhesive in the back, and you have a custom gift that looks far more expensive than a candy bar! It’s an easy, thoughtful way to show someone you care.

I hope I inspired you to try a simple candy bar wrap that is so simple that you don't need any dies. Just sprinkle a little Eyelet Outlet magic and you'll get a special treat someone will get double-delight out of.

Summer Picnic Basket

It's summer and that means it's time for picnics. My card today features a fun picnic basket decorated with EO brads and washi tapes.

The bow of this beauty was made with paper covered with Red/White Dot Washi Tape. The basket liner is made of Heart Washi Tape.

The basket is constructed with a stamp and die set. Once I put it all together, I added BBQ Brads, putting a grill on each side of the sentiment. I added two Mini Ant Brads and a red hot pad from the Cooking Brads.

The top of the basket is embellished with a pull made of the Red/White Dot Washi Tape. A  6 mm red jewel brad secures it to the basket top. It adds just a bit of sparkle!

Kind of a Big Deal

The new Eyelet Outlet Card Suit Brads are beautiful and useful; to prove it, here's a PAIR of entirely SUIT-able cards!

For "You're Kind of a Big Deal" the sentiment is printed in a free font called Dear Sunshine. The Card Suit Brads are placed in a square configuration and the background is a panel filled with neatly lined-up strips of Playing Card Washi.

The "Marriage" sentiment (adapted from a Sign Guy meme on social media) is printed in a typewriter font, then the Card Suit Brads were added above, and a pair of Playing Card Brads affixed below. The background panel is Heart Washi.

Thank You with Girl Gnome Brads

I've been having a great time working with the new brads in the store. Today's card features the new Girl Gnome Brads paired with the White Daisy Brads and Fresh Flowers-Bright Brads.

To make this card, I began by cutting a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card front in mushroom cardstock. Then I cut three heart patterned circles and three slightly larger circles. Then I put two strips of Heart Washi Tape on white cardstock and cut it in a strip. I placed the strip to the left side of the card. I placed two thin strips on each side of the heart strip. I placed the girl gnomes and flowers on the circles before mounting them on the larger circles and then on the card front.

Hang In There!

Today I have a card I made for a friend who had a hard week. I wanted to give her something to let her know she isn't alone and she can count on me for anything she needs. I had told her to hang in there and it occurred to me later that I could repeat that same phrase in this card to her.

It was so easy to make this card! First I layered three washi tapes on white cardstock and cut them with a dress die. The washi tapes made perfect dress patterns! I used Flower Washi Tapes for two of the dresses. For the middle dress, I chose Heart Washi Tape. These made beautiful dresses but just about any patterned or floral tape could give you a very similar effect. It's up to you how you want the dresses to look!

I cut a mat and used oxide inks to highlight the center with blues. I sprayed some blue ink on it and let it dry. Then I arranged the dresses while hanging them on Wooden Hanger Brads. The dresses are so adorable hanging on these brads! All I needed to do was add Pearl Sticky Back Hearts and my sentiment and it was complete. I know this card will bring a smile to my friend's face.
