A Reader's Friend

Hello Crafty Friends - I am excited to share this fun bookmark with you today.  I enjoyed using Eyelet Outlet's Book BradsBook Washi Tape3/16 Round Eyelets - WhiteJewel Bling, and Eyelet Setter to create this bookmark.  Eyelet Outlet has a wide range of products to use on your crafting projects.  This bookmark is a thoughtful gift for the avid reader in your life.

I used a bookmark die to create the base for the design.  In the top and bottom boxes I used the bookmark brads.  In the center two boxes I used the bookmark washi tape.  I added some bling with the jewel bling in red and blue, and used a quicklet eyelet to reinforce the hole at the top.  The quicklet eyelets are so easy to use with the eyelet setter.  No Crop-A-Dile punch tool needed.

I love how this bookmark turned out!  Thank you for visiting the blog today.  I hope this inspires you to create a fun project using Eyelet Outlet products.  Please visit Eyelet Outlet for easy to use embellishments.

Back to School Cheers! An Apple for the Teacher

It feels like we were just celebrating the 4th of July, and now, just as summer seems to be getting started, it's already time to welcome the kids back to school! Time truly does fly.

We took our son to his new college apartment this week, and it instantly made me nostalgic for the simpler days of grade school and middle school. In that spirit, I've crafted a school-themed card this week that's absolutely perfect for a new student to give their teacher as the academic year begins.

To make this card, I started with a pre-patterned card base. I used an apple die from my stash to cut out a stitched apple-shaped window. To fill this window, I placed strips of Tape Measure Washi Tape onto yellow cardstock. It was then very simple to glue the panel on the inside of the card, allowing the cheerful yellow washi tape to peek through the apple cutout.

I added a stem and leaves to the apple, and then stamped and cut out my sentiment strips. I applied a strip of Book Washi Tape as a themed border before adhering the sentiments. Then came all the fun brads! First, I placed a delightful Pastel Owl Brad above the "Thanks" sentiment. Next, I added Computer & Headphone Brads along the border, tying into the school theme. The final touch was a perfect stack of books in the form of a Book Brad, completing this school scene.

This card is a sweet and simple way to show appreciation as the school year kicks off!

Happy Birthday Bookshelves

Hello Ai fans! I'm here today with a fun indoor scene featuring the new Book Washi Tape now at the store. For a long time, EO has carried a popular and loved Book Washi Tape. Recently a second design was added and I've used it here on these die cut shelves. This is also called Book Washi Tape but it is a bit more whimsical. It has little paper airplanes floating along the top of the books. You can see the two washi tape patterns below in greater detail.

Newest Book Washi Tape

The shelves and plants were made with dies in my stash. I decorated them with several brads. On the top shelf I added a Feline Brad and Book Brad. On the second shelf I included a Book Brad and Fan Brad. On the floor I included a cute Resin Mouse with a Happy Birthday Bubble Brad. Next to the mouse is a Puppy Brad. The floor and ceiling were made with Wood Washi Tape.

Here's a complete shopping list for this card:

This was a fun card to make and very easy to create a bookshelf theme. What you put on your shelves is only limited by your imagination!

I hope you enjoyed my card and I thank you for stopping by today. Please visit the store for all your brads, washi tape, bling and paper flowers!

Back to School

It is back to school time in many communities so I was looking
forward to making a "back to school" card using fun elements from
Eyelet Outlet. I found this cute image from
Tiddly inks so I was set to create.

I love the book brads from Eyelet Outlet so I headed
there first and then to the book washi tape. I tried to make sure that
I used the same same primary colors in the book
throughout the card. On the sides I added some black
matte jewels.

Here is your Eyelet Outlet Shopping List

Baby Dresser Card

Happy Thursday, crafters!  Today I've got a sweet little baby card for you that I made on my Cricut Maker.  I used the debossing tip to add some texture to the dresser, but the best part of this card were the fabulous Eyelet Outlet products that were used!

I love the way the book washi tape looks on the top shelf!  The next shelf holds one of our book brads, a brown teddy bear brad, and a train engine brad from the train mix set.  And of course, the little hanger brad for the outfit!  I also added some enamel dots on the drawers.

I've shared the file for this card on my Cricut profile, so if you're a Cricut crafter, you can make this card for a little one you love!

Thanks for stopping in today!  Happy crafting!

Teacher Appreciation

I've been having a good time creating altered paper clips lately and today I have one to show you that would be a perfect little gift for Teacher Appreciation Week coming up soon.

I've seen these paper clips done with card stock or felt, but I chose felt for mine.  I embellished it with Eyelet Outlet book brad and heart brad.  The little card I created to present the paper clip on is embellished with our popular book washi tape, a few strips of skinny red and yellow washi tape as well as a yellow enamel heart.

Eyelet Outlet will be a vendor at the Creating Keepsakes Convention in St. Louis this coming weekend, so if you're in the area, stop by and see us!

A Sweet Birthday by Janet

Hi everyone! An ideal afternoon for me involves a good book, a spot of tea or cup of coffee and a sweet. I was happy to find that it was easy to combine these favorites into a fun birthday card for you today.

I thought the tea and book sticker was a great place to start. I added a Donut Brad and a Fork Brad. I also added a thin foiled Happy Birthday sentiment strip.

Next I added a 3D number background paper to a white A2 card base and added two stripes of Book Washi Tape. I cut some brown cardstock in strips for borders and then placed the sticker on foam tape and on the card. Then I added three Black Matt Finish Enamel Dots.

Quick Cards Using Washi Tape

Looking for a quick and simple card design? I've got one here for you today that lets Washi Tape do all the hard work. Don't have Washi Tape or want a new design or two? We have hundreds of designs to choose from at our STORE. You're sure to find designs that you'd love to own.

I made four cards with the same design but with four different Washi Tape designs. From left to right, I used:
Bee Washi Tape and a Blue Glitter Enamel Dot
Copper Sparkle Foil Tape and a White Glitter Enamel Dot
Book Washi Tape and a Red Glitter Enamel Dot and
Map Washi Tape and a Blue Enamel Dot.

This is a great way to personalize a card for the recipient's hobbies or interests. It can instantly make a card feminine, masculine, whimsical, serious, juvenile or adult. Best of all, it's a quick but great card you can make when time is tight.

Here's a close-up of the bee card.

Let's take a peak inside the map card to show how I put another piece of white card stock inside with a strip of matching Washi Tape at the bottom. I sometimes also put a brad in the inside to accent the Washi Tape like here where I used the Anchor Brad in antique bronze. There are two other finished in this charming pack including shiny silver and pewter.

I like using Washi Tape on envelopes because it ties the whole look together and makes a great presentation when it's delivered to the recipient. I put it on the closer flap of each envelope and turn the excess Washi Tape to the back of it.

Stop by our YouTube Channel to see close ups of the cards and a tutorial with all the measurements. While you're there, like it and subscribe so you don't miss any new content. Click on the photo below to see the video or you can use this link: https://youtu.be/FC6ogdBv4uY

Book Stamp Set

Hi, this is Rebecca. Welcome to the weekend, and Happy Memorial Day for us US folks!

Today I have some quick cards, made quicker with the new Book Stamp Set!

First, a confession: I am not a talented, experienced stamper. I am an occasional stamper with some pretty basic stamping supplies. I love to look at all the lovely card stamp work around here, but I’m usually more likely to use my own ink for a messy background than a clean card front. But I have to tell you, these stamps stamped so cleanly! I was worried about my skill at getting a good, photographable impression on the large oval, but it (along with the other stamps in the pack) worked great for me without any extra prep.

This first card also uses Book Washi TapeBook Brads, and Pearl Bling Strips. Quick and easy!

Then for a second quick card, I stamped a few books to coordinate with this cross-stitched piece (it was on my desk waiting for a use, and this card seemed like a good time). Just added a few Jewel Bling pieces, and done.

And finally, I went bright to coordinate with the bright color Book Brads. A few Enamel Hearts and coordinating Washi (herehere and something similar here ) made this one a quick project, too.

The Book Stamp Set is now available on the site, along with 15 other all new Stamp sets that coordinate with other Eyelet Outlet Brads, washi and more. We’re so excited to have these coordinating stamps, and I can’t wait to use them with some scrap pages, too!
