Have an Egg-cellent Birthday!

Happy Saturday my Eyelet Outlet friends! I started a day this past week with a breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee. It all got me to thinking that EO has brads for all those items and that I should make a card with them! I happen to have a pan stamp in my stash and it is was just the right size to add Bacon, Egg, & Toast Brads. I added a Coffee Brad and a fork from the Silverware Brads to make the breakfast complete!

For additional decoration, I created borders out of Strawberry Washi Tape and added strips of Skinny Glitter Washi Tape. Last I added a red Star Brad as an accent. I adhered the finished panel to a red A2 card base. It looks like a yummy birthday is ahead for the person getting this one!

A Sweet Birthday by Janet

Hi everyone! An ideal afternoon for me involves a good book, a spot of tea or cup of coffee and a sweet. I was happy to find that it was easy to combine these favorites into a fun birthday card for you today.

I thought the tea and book sticker was a great place to start. I added a Donut Brad and a Fork Brad. I also added a thin foiled Happy Birthday sentiment strip.

Next I added a 3D number background paper to a white A2 card base and added two stripes of Book Washi Tape. I cut some brown cardstock in strips for borders and then placed the sticker on foam tape and on the card. Then I added three Black Matt Finish Enamel Dots.

Happy Washi Tape Birthday Treat

Hi friends! It's Janet here with a happy card you can make in a jiffy! You just need a border punch, a bunch of your favorite washi tapes, pearl bling and a brad or two. I made my letters by layering 4 separate letter cuts. You could also do this with chipboard letters or with stickers. Either method works well.

There are 8 washi tapes in this card so if you like these, follow the links in the shopping list to pick them up. Note: I substituted a few that are out of stock with some other options.

Thanks A Brunch!

I needed to send a few thank-you notes after the holidays and loved the idea of making a punny one.

Eyelet Outlet had just what I needed to carry off  my "Thanks a Brunch" idea!  I filled my brunch plate with Eyelet Outlet's Bacon, Egg, and Toast brads and added a little fork brad from the Silverware set, too!  Our Waffle brads would have been cute on this, too!

Let's Have a Tea Party!

Good Thursday, crafters!  I recently re-discovered the beautiful retro graphics of Velma and Kathryn Balint of KB and Friends having first purchased from them many years ago.  I've gone completely wild over their adorable collection of boxes. Many of them pair so perfectly with Eyelet Outlet products, so you'll be seeing more of this type of card from me in coming weeks!  ;)

Today I'm having a Tea Party!  Inside the little retro tea set box you'll see a tea pot and cup from Eyelet Outlet Tea Cup Set as well as a spoon brad from the popular silverware set.

On the table you'll see another of the tea pots in the set and seated at the table all ready for tea are the precious Teddy Bear brad along with his friend the Sock Monkey brad.

Thanks for joining me for tea today! See you next Thursday!

Thanksgiving Favor Boxes

Who doesn't want pumpkin pie on their Thanksgiving table?! Today I'm sharing the recipe for one that is surprisingly simple to make and your family will surely enjoy. It's easy as pie!  😄

The file for these drawer pie boxes is from SVGCuttingfiles.com. I've embellished the pie slices with Eyelet Outlet's pumpkin washi tape and pumpkin brads and pilgram hat brads. Our leaf brads would also be beautiful.

The whipped cream is a rolled flower from the Cricut image library and is cut from felt with the rotary blade on my Cricut Maker. Won't they make cute place cards on the table?!

The window bakery box is from Cricut's Sweet Tooth Boxes image set and the tag is a combination of images from the Cricut image library embellished with a cute little Eyelet Outlet fork brad from the silverware brad set.

If you'd like to create these for your Thanksgiving guests, I've put together a tutorial to take the guess work out of sizing. Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful crafty day!

Bear Hugs

When I saw this box card SVG from My Casual Whimsy's Etsy shop, I knew I'd have to make it!  First because it's just so cute, but second because I could imagine how cute it would be with a couple of Eyelet Outlet products added to it for extra fun!

This card really was quite easy to make and went together very quickly!  The poor little sick bear in bed is getting lots of comfort from his snuggly Eyelet Outlet Teddy Bear.  Hopefully the medicine he has to take from his Eyelet Outlet Spoon Brad is at least grape flavored!  I made the bear a little bit bigger than the file had it so that the bandaid brad would be the right size for his forehead and I used a red round enamel dot on the end of the thermometer and a few enamel hearts around the sentiment.

I'm glad you stopped in today!  Keep on crafting, friends!

Chicken and Waffles

Hi there!  It's Kim from Katydid Cards.

One of the new releases at Eyelet Outlet is the Chicken & Waffle Brads.  I'd never heard of this combination before...guess I'm living in the wrong part of the country to be aware of its popularity.  But the brads are sure popular with me!  Here's a card I made using just the waffles.

I used a card base I found in the Silhouette store and am very happy with the way it showcases the waffles and the fork from the Utensils Brads.  The greeting was created to compliment the waffles.  I filled the letters in the word WAFFLE with a waffle pattern.

The bottom of the card was embossed with a heart pattern...that open space definitely needed some additional interest and this embossing folder did the trick.

Inside, I decided to add a little syrup to the waffles.  The font is supposed to simulate snow, but I think it looks enough like syrup!

I didn't forget about the Chicken Brads!  Here's a redux of a picnic themed box card using those yummy chicken legs and more!

In addition to the chicken, I used the Silverware, Cocktail, and Dragonfly Brads.  In addition, I used the Hardwood and Blue Patterned Washi Tapes and large Jewel Bling as well as Pearl Bling (both colored with Copic markers).

The card base was made using a Summer Box Card cut file by SVGCuts.

Really Awful!

Have you seen Eyelet Outlet's new "Chicken & Waffles," brad set?  As usual, these brads are so realistic that they look good enough to eat!

For this card, I looked to the Cricut Fast Food cartridge and used the child eating image, but I opted for a girly hairstyle, so grabbed one from one of the Everyday Paperdolls images.  Her cute little face is a digital stamp from Peachy Keen.  She's got the new Chicken Leg Brad in one hand and an Eyelet Outlet Fork Brad in the other and life is good, because she's got her Waffle Brad on her plate!

See the Chicken and Waffles brads and all our new brads at Eyelet Outlet!  Or, check us out in person at one of the many trade shows we'll be at in the coming months!  This weekend, June 1 & 2, Eyelet Outlet will be in two places at once on both sides of the country!  We'll be at the Creating Keepsakes Show in West Springfield, Massachusetts and also at the Scrapbook Expo in Puyallup, Washington.

Peace ... Love ... Baking

When I saw the current Fusion Card Challenge, I new my Eyelet Outlet Brad stash was going to be the star of the show.
I started with a piece of My Mind's Eye Chalkboard Paper and then *chalked* it up a bit more with White Pigment Ink.  Next, I started creating with all sorts of baking themed brads.

I finished with Heart Brads and Heart Epoxy Stickers ... can you count how many different Eyelet Outlet Brads I used?

I used two stickers & a printed word for my sentiment - Peace, Love & Baking my friends.

Delish

Today I created a set of cards featuring lots of fun food related brads.

I started with a piece of Designer paper from the Paper House Productions Delish Collection.

For my first card, I added matching flour & sugar canister brads to my designer paper ... I love the pop of color they add to the chalkboard paper.

When I thought about enjoying every bite, the first thing that came to mind were donuts ... warm, fresh doughnuts.  This card came together quickly with three doughnut brads (chocolate is my favorite).
For this one, I added some silverware brads, together with a cookie sheet brad and a *wooden* spoon brad.  It will be a thank you card for someone who always shares their delicious baked goods with me.  The brads really do make this a one-of-a-kind special card for the recipient.
The final card has a Blue Flour Canister Brad paired with a Red Sugar Canister Brad.  I also added a red heart adhesive gem between the Salt & Pepper jars.

Having a selection of Eyelet Outlet Brads on-hand in your favorite themes makes card-making quick & easy.
