Your a LOB-star!

 Do you have someone you would like to celebrate with a little humor? If so, this card idea might be for you!

I like puns and this one made me smile. It features the Crab and Lobster brad set. I heat embossed the star with purple glitter heat embossing powder before cutting it and then arranged my two lobsters on it. The sentiment was created on Cricut Design Space as a print then cut. 

As an accent to the wave cardstock border, I used two washi tapes. These are the Thin Glitter Tape and the Striped Tape. The Thin Glitter Tape is one I really recommend as it comes with 5 different colors. A thin strip of glitter is a great accent on many cards when you just need a little bit of something.

I added our Sequins and Enamel Hearts for a little added interest and to guide your eye through the card.  That Thin Glitter washi tape makes a great base line.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Today I'm bringing you a couple of sweet rosette angels I created in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

One  angel is beautifully embellished with Eyelet Outlet Fancy Pearl and Jewel Bling and the other with Pink Jewel Strips.  

The white rosettes at the top were embellished with Eyelet Outlet Silver Glitter Washi Tape. I applied the embellishments to the rosettes before fan folding them.  

And finally,  attached to each angel's sign is an Eyelet Outlet Pink Ribbon Quicklet. Text on the signs is available in the Cricut image library.  The faces on the angels are digital stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps.

Autumn Leaves

Today I had fun playing with vintage dictionary pages, gorgeous wide leaf washi tape, and some fun brads.

On my recent travels, I found a falling apart dictionary with beautiful crispy aged pages.  I love how the words show through the translucent Washi Tape.

I accented my design with beautiful leaf brads and a fun little squirrel.  I added some skinny glitter washi tape to finish this design.

I stamped my sentiment on the border of one of the aged dictionary pages.  

For my second card, I positioned the rest of the vintage dictionary page at the bottom and added Copper Glitter Washi Tape at the top.

Washi Wonderful

I'm having fun this week's hosting a challenge in the annual Dare to Get Dirty Challenges at SplitcoastStampers.  

Here are a few cards I made.

The first one uses a combination of Wide Bicycle Washi with lots of Glitter Washi Tape (love the three widths) ... topped with my favorite Paper Flowers and a bit of black bumpy bling.  The layout is from Match the Sketch.

This card combined the cool Jelly Fish Washi with a Gold Transparency.  I love how the transparency of both layers allows the designs to come together.  

I once snorkeled through a group of Jelly Fish (I didn't know what they were at the time, but they sure were lovely) and lived to tell the story (not a single sting), so I thought the Essentials by Ellen Lifesaver Stamp was the perfect sentiment.

Washi Tape Masking with MISTI Gel Press Plate Printing

Today I'm going to share with you cards I made using a stamping and masking technique using Eyelet Outlet Washi Tape, my Gel Press Plate and My MISTI.

I started with a piece of 4 1/2" x 6" watercolor paper.  I attached my 5" x 7" Gel Press Plate to my MISTI and stamped it several times using Yellow Ink to create the base.

Next I attached Glitter Washi Tape to create my grid design (I used glitter washi tape because it came in three different widths and it resisted the ink very well).  After it was attached, I inked my Gell Press Plate with Blue Ink and stamped until I had good coverage (which created the fun green when the two inks combined).

I removed the tape, which left the yellow stripes below.  I also took a Ghost Print, which is stamping on a second piece of Water Color Paper with the ink that was left on the Gel Press Plate, which creates sort of a reverse pattern since there was more ink where it didn't sink into the Washi Tape.

Final step was to make some fun cards.  Sentiments are perfect to stamp in the Washi Tape resist lines.

Here's my first card featuring a sentiment from Essentials by Ellen Crafty Ladies together with a Triangle Brad & a Super Hero Saying Brad (because Crafty Friends are Super Heroes).

For the Ghost Print, I stamped a large bold sentiment from EBE Crafty Ladies and added two different widths of Black Glitter Washi Tape along the washi lines in the background.

I embellished with an Eyelet Outlet Paper Flower (topped with a smaller flower from my stash) and piece of black bumpy bling for the center.

Here's one more I made also combining some Wide Washi Tape to provide a wider area for sentiment stamping.

This sentiment is from Joy Claire Hello Sentiments.  I added some Gold Glitter Washi Tape to frame the sentiment and finished with Pink and Maroon Glitter Enamel Dots.

Baby Train......

I'm going to be a Great Grandma in June!!! so for my project today I made a generic baby shower card with the cutest baby animal brads from the Eyelet Outlet . There are new Spring brads in the store now and lots more to look at.

I used a generic train die and it came with animals on it but I snipped them off and added the super cute baby animal brads. The wheels looked a tad plain so I added sticky back enamel dots also from the Eyelet Outlet store.
