Fun With Felt

I've been having quite a lot of fun with felt lately and have found new ways to incorporate Eyelet Outlet brads into my felt projects.  A few weeks ago and shared my a fall themed banner and today I've got some Christmas ornaments to show you.

I iron fusible webbing to the back of the felt that I use in the designs.  I peel off the backing and then cut the shapes with my Cricut Maker and rotary blade.  Once I have them layered like I want them on one of the round pieces of felt,  I cover the design with a damp pressing cloth and iron.  The fusible webbing adheres everything together perfectly.  Then I embellish the ornaments with Eyelet Outlet brads and sequins and blanket stitch the rounds together adding a little bit of batting before taking the last few stitches.

Eyelet Outlet sequins are amazing for this project and they are available in lots of shapes and colors.  I stitched round ones on the Christmas tree and wreath and the pretty star shaped ones surround the angel.

I used a round jeweled brad in the center of my snowflake.  There's dozens to choose from at Eyelet Outlet.

In addition to the multi-colored round sequins, I added a gold star brad to the top of the tree and a few of our brand new gift brads underneath.

I have several more ornament designs on the drawing board, so check back in and see how I'll be using even more Eyelet Outlet products on them!

Under the Tree

The new Eyelet Outlet Gift Brads are fairly awesome on their own, but of course the best place for them is under a Christmas Tree, right? So that's where I (Lauren) have put them.

In this case the tree --decorated with Green Pearl Bling and a Glitter Enamel Star-- is stamped and the room is composed of five different EO Washi varieties: Gold Script TapeHeart WashiWood TapeStar Gold Tape and Christmas Pattern Washi, to be precise. But maybe my favorite thing is the art on the wall: a Nutcracker Brad, matted on a little scrap of Wood Tape, diecut into a frame shape.

Let's make some Christmas memories!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a card using some of the new brads that hit the store a few days ago. What's more fun than new brads?! These Gift Brads are super versatile and can be used for any occasion. I paired them with our Gold Skinny Washi Tape and Green Enamel Dots to create a simple Christmas card. This is another design that would be easy to mass-produce for all those on your Christmas card list!

I cut a standard size A2 top-folding card base and layering panel from white cardstock, along with layering panels from dark red cardstock and red dotted cardstock. I cut the white cardstock and red dotted cardstock layering panels at an angle, butted them together and applied a strip of Gold Skinny Washi Tape at the seam. I stamped the sentiment in red ink, added the Gift Brads, and adhered the panel to the dark red cardstock. The finishing touch on the front was the addition of several Green Enamel Dots

I cut the inside panel from white cardstock and embellished it with strips of the red dotted cardstock and gold washi tape, stamped the sentiment in red ink, and adhered the panel to dark red cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Frappe Birthday!

There's new brads at Eyelet Outlet and I've used two of them in this birthday card perfect for a coffee lover in my life!

I modified a candy shop from the Cricut image library with some other Cricut images to transform it into a coffee shop and paired the new cupcake brad with one of the new iced coffee brads to wish my coffee loving daughter a "Frappe Birthday!"

Cupcakes for Everyone!

New Brad Alert! We've got four new styles making their Eyelet Outlet debut today: Female Cardinals, Gift Boxes, Iced Coffee and... my (Lauren's) personal favorite... Swirl Cupcakes!

Three flavors of Swirl Cupcakes come in each package, so of course I had to make three slightly smaller than A2 cards. It also made sense to add in other birthday-themed and/or pink brads, such as a Birthday CandleLollipop Brad (they're on sale!) a FlamingoColored DaisyBirthday Sock Monkey (also on sale!) and a Heart Brad. A scattering of white Round Sequins, some torn patterned paper and a little machine stitching completes the design.

Stay tuned for more New Brad inspiration from the design team, right here on the Eyelet Outlet Blog.

enjoy a cupcake!

Fairy Thanks

Eyelet Outlet brads make card making a breeze.
I need a pile of thank you cards....so, to make this fairy easy, keep the focus on the sentiment and Fairy Brads.  Clean open spaces and simple layouts are your friend when you are creating multiple copies of a card.

Here I used a strip of patterned paper and Copper Foil Washi Tape along with Pink Bling strips for that pixie dust.

Remember, tomorrow...new brads are released!

Thanks for fluttering by today!

Clean and Simple Festive Christmas Card

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a fun and festive CAS Christmas card featuring our Santa Hat Brads, Santa Suit Brads and Snowflake Brads. This would be an easy one to mass-produce for those on your Christmas list!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from white cardstock along with a stitched rectangle die cut for the background. I die cut the 'jolly' word from red glitter sheet and adhered it to the stitched panel. I added a Santa Hat Brad and and two boots from the Santa Suit Brads, along with several Snowflake Brads, and then adhered the panel to the card base.

I cut the inside panel from white cardstock and embellished it with a strip of red glitter sheet. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and cut it with a small stitched rectangle die. I added a Santa Suit Brad and layered the panel on red cardstock.

Halloween Treat Bags

Decorating these little Halloween treat bags was such fun!  There's so many amazing Halloween themed embellishments available at Eyelet Outlet, as you can see from this project. And there's even more at EyeletOutlet.com

This little witch is from Cricut's Mini Monster's image set, but I substituted Eyelet Outlet Witch Legs brads for the originals.  I also used Eyelet Outlet Eye brads on her face and a round jeweled brad on her dress.  The jeweled brads are on sale now, too!   There's a mini spider brad in that cob web as well as a cute black kitten brad in the corner.

And don't forget about the washi tape!  I used some purple glitter tape on my witch's hat as well as a few strips of black and white and some Happy Halloween tape.

Thanks for being with us today and be sure and check back next week and see our newest brads!

CAS Question...

...is a card still "Clean and Simple" if it features five Eyelet Outlet Washi Tape styles and nine Brads?! I (Lauren) say yes; but then I'm not exactly a minimalist, lol!

Inspired by this cute tree sticker I found in my stash, I started looking through my Eyelet Outlet goodies for autumnal items in the right colors, and found Pumpkin BradsSunflowersMini Leaves, and the orange calico cat from our Feline Brads. To ground my embellishment grouping, I made a tape stack starting with Pumpkin TapeWood Washi, and my favorite Script Tape, to which I added some shorter pieces of solid color Skinny Tape. Since I had obviously made a tiny stylized landscape, it seemed like a good idea to finish off with Sun and Cloud Brads... so I did!

hopes you're enjoying autumn
as much as she is!

Get your train rollin'....

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a super sweet birthday card for a special little guy (our youngest grand) who turned one a few days ago! This is a mini slimline and sure was a fun one! I semi-CASEd the sentiment on one of my own designs from several years back where I used a tractor... I love it so much! ;)

The typical mini slimline is 3" x 6", however, I decided going forward that I'll make mini slimlines 3-1/2" x 6" which will be the legal size for mailing. I cut the top-folding landscape card base from white cardstock along with a layering panel from blue cardstock. I printed the front and inside sentiments on a piece of white cardstock and trimmed them down to be slightly smaller than the blue layering panels. I hand-drew the train track across the white cardstock panel, added Train Mix Brads and Sun & Cloud Brads, and adhered the panels to the card base.

I embellished the inside sentiment panel with strips cut from green, red and yellow cardstock, added an additional Train Mix Brad, and layered the panel on blue cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!
