It's almost time to go back to school for us... my kiddos start next week!! So I wanted to get some teacher cards prepped for the beginning of the school year! This card features the simple but beautiful apple brads and some simply gorgeous Black and White Dots Washi Tape

Magical Birthday

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a magical birthday card!

I had this one round shaped pair of glasses from the Eyeglass Brads set sitting on my desk and had a DUH moment, thinking of making it into a magical birthday card for my Potter-loving son!! His birthday isn't for a while, but I know he has other friends who are into the books too, so I figure it's always good to have a stash on hand!!

I paired it with some star washi from the Eyelet Outlet Store. I used the beautiful Black and Gold Foil Washi and some wide star washi tape to create my background. I love how simple it was to put together the background and how the gold and black just pops off the page!

Super fun magical birthday card!! I loved being able to use up some beautiful washi too!! Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

Birthday Balloons

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a bright and fun birthday card!

I started with these Bright Balloon Brads (say that three times fast!) and found that they matched perfectly with this Wide Dot Washi Tape! Super perfect match!! So I decided to add them to my card as a bunch of balloons this adorable penguin is holding!

Pair that with a sweet and simple birthday sentiment and add another balloon brad, and done! Love this bunch of balloons... such beautiful colors!!

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

Eggs to my Bacon

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a fun mini-card set!

I used one of the cutest brad sets, the Breakfast Bacon, Eggs, and Toast Brads. This time I used only the eggs and bacon brads for these mini 3x3 cards because they were a perfect fit with this sentiment!! Eyelet Outlet makes these adorable Breakfast Clear Stamps that would work perfectly with these brads too, but I haven't had a chance to get my hands on them yet!! So I made it work with what I had on hand!!

Love this little set of cards... Perfect for lunch box notes too!! Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

First Responder Birthday

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a birthday card for a special little boy!

My kids are gearing up to go back to school in just a few short weeks so I wanted to start prepping some birthday cards for them to give away because I inevitably end up needing them!! My youngest is still obsessed with vehicles of all types, especially emergency ones so these First Responder Brads ended up being perfect to make a card with!! In fact, he wants to keep it so I might need to make another if he won't give it back lol!!

I also added some fun washi tape to the bottom of the card. This Road Washi Tape is just the perfect complement to these (or any vehicle) brads, and I thought that this Red Dot Washi Tape finished the bottom of the card really nicely! The last thing I did was add some Yellow Glitter Enamel Dots to the bottom corner of the card to balance out that yellow "hooray" sentiment.

Super fun preschooler's birthday card!! Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

Quite the Catch!

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a punny fishing card!

I used one of the brand new clear stamps, the Fish Stamp Set. It has this super cute sentiment on it and I thought it would be fun to pair with some of the fish brads and a fishing pole... who knew they made fishing pole brads?!? Awesome!!

I used a wavy border die to create the... well... waves, and was able to actually use one long strip of scrap paper to do it! After I layered it together, I added some Trout and Bass brads to the waves to make it look like they were swimming and jumping out of the water! The last thing I did was add the Fishing Pole brad after stamping out the sentiment from the Fish Stamp Set

Super fun masculine card!! I loved being able to use my scraps on this!! Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

Bake the World...

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a sweet food card!

I used this gorgeous image/sentiment stamp from the Cooking Stamp Set. the whole thing, from the "Bake" to the oven and the bottom script sentiment are one stamp. And it stamps so nicely too!! After coloring it up with my Copics, I diecut it with this cute scalloped square, and then matted it on some red cardstock. I wanted to match the colors that the mitts come in from the Cooking Brads set.

I also stamped out the mitts from the Cooking Stamp Set onto my background paper, leaving space on the left side of the card to add some mitt brads from the Cooking Brads set. The last thing I did was to add this big epoxy heart (the biggest red one in the Heart Epoxy - Pink Set) to the middle of the oven. I think it was the perfect size!

Love how this card came together. And I really like the colors too! Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

Spit Happens!

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a super punny card!

I started with a piece of white cardstock and then added some stripes using this gorgeous mint green and gold foil washi tape. It comes in pink too, and they're both SO pretty but I'm definitely partial to green, so this one is my favorite!!

After that I added this stamped sentiment from the brand new clear stamp sets... this one is from the Llama stamp set. I also added one of these llama brads, which fits perfectly in the middle of this round "spit happens" stamp!! And look at that gold foil shine! I just love this washi!!

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

Congrats w/Washi

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a super easy and super fun graduation card!

I started with some wide star washi for this card, laying it out diagonally over a white piece of cardstock. Then I used some Glitter Black Washi Tape and Glitter Copper Washi Tape to make matching bands to cover the rest of the white cardstock piece! I actually used 2 strips of black, and then 2 strips of copper... using just 1 strip was too thin in my opinion.

All this card needed after that was this nice "congrats" sentiment and then it was done! The shine is just gorgeous and I absolutely love how it came out!! And the awesome thing is that you can't really even see the seams between washi strips... it just looks like that's the pattern on the paper itself!!

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

Donut Know...

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a fun donut card!

I used some fun washi tape and a donut brad to make this card. First, I stamped all over the right side of a white piece of cardstock and then added the washi to the right side. I used some Donut washi tape and Glitter Light Pink washi tape from the Eyelet Outlet store.

I then wrapped some twine around it and then added the donut brad to finish it off before sticking it down on a brown cardstock piece. So cute! Love the colors and that fun donut brad is just perfect!

Air Mail

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a quick but pretty thank you card!

This Red White Blue Stripe washi tape in the Eyelet Outlet store reminded me of air mail and sending happy mail! So I wanted to make a card using it so that I could send a quick but simply decorated thank you card! I even lined the envelope with a strip of this Red White Blue Stripe washi tape to match!! And I dug through my stash and found this super cute paper airplane stamp along with this perfectly matched sentiment!

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

Disney Birthday

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a super quick card for Disney lovers (like me)!

Our family is a HUGE Disney family. Not as huge as my sister-in-law's Disney love, but we definitely love it!! So when I saw this circle washi tape in the Eyelet Outlet store, I knew I had to have it!! The colors were just perfect, and the different sizes of overlapping circles were so fun and playful!!

I paired it with some red star washi tape and black and white zig zag washi tape, leaving a little bit of space in between each strip. To finish it off, I added some red swirl bling to the bottom of the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

For the Birthday Boy

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a super quick card for a special little boy!

My youngest has a good friend in preschool and his birthday is coming up next week so I thought I'd make him a simple card to give. They bonded over garbage truck and dump truck toys so I thought that these work truck brads would be perfect for him! And I think it came out so cute and simple that I made a few more for his other friends too!!

Instead of adding lots of patterns and embellishments, I decided to focus on the main construction yellow and black colors in these work truck brads. I realized when making cards for the youngest that he doesn't seem to care about the patterned paper and all the embellishments that I thought I needed to add to make a nice card... and instead he gravitated towards the really simple ones with bold colors because the other ones were too busy!!

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

Latte Birthday

Hi Friends! kel here today to share another fun coffee card!

I got to play with these adorable Coffee Brads again to make my card. I actually had just one white coffee cup left, so decided to use it to make a birthday card!

To make my background, I embossed a piece of dark red cardstock with a Happy Birthday themed folder. Then, I took two different circle punches and just punched out some circles, making sure to go off the edge on all of them!! After I added my sentiment strip, I added the white coffee cup to one of the circles, and then added two differently shaped white heart brads to the other two empty circles. LOVE how this card came out. The white coffee cup and heart brads really stand out against the dark background!

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

New Baby

Hi Friends! kel here today to share another fun coffee card!

I got to play with these adorable Woodland Animal Brads for this card. As soon as I saw them I knew I wanted to make a baby card and love how it came out!

They are just too adorable. You get these three characters - skunk, fox, and raccoon - and I couldn't pick which one I wanted to use so all three of them went on the card together!!

Cool Beans

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a super fun card that really challenged me!

I got to play with these adorable Coffee Brads again to make my card. The Coffee Brads set comes with these coffee beans, and to be honest, I was STUMPED on what I was going to do with them until I saw this sentiment from a coffee stamp set! How perfect is that?!?

I stamped out my diagonal line of beans and then glued down my sentiment circle so that I knew where I wanted to place these coffee bean brads. I love that they give my otherwise flat card some dimension!! They totally make the card!!

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

You're Fantaschtic!

Hi Friends! kel here again today to share another fun project with you!! Happy April Fools, but I'm sorry I don't have any tricks to play today!! Instead, I played with a punny card!!

This mustache brad was just SO MUCH FUN to play with. I absolutely love these punny sentiments combined with these adorable brads!!

To make my card, I stamped all over the background with a different mustache style in a lighter grey color and paired it with a turquoise-y ink and background paper because I wanted that black mustache brad to stand out, and it definitely makes the card pop!!

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

I Woof You

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a super fun card that I ended up absolutely adoring.

I started with these Dog Brads. I knew I wanted to make it the focus of my card, but it's so much smaller than I'm used to using as a focal image, so I had to figure out a way to make it seem bigger.

I dug out some word bubble stamps, and found this simple "woof" sentiment stamp that I thought would be the only thing a dog really needs to say to his human!! And I'd like to think that my pups tell me things with love, so stamped that sentiment as far to the right as I could so I had space to add in a pink heart brad

I finished off the card with some dark grey cardstock and some grey and white baker's twine. So cute. I think I need to order some more Dog Brads and maybe even some Cat Brads to make more of these cards... but I think the cat's word bubble might say something a little more sassy!! haha!!

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

Thanks A Latte

Hi Friends! kel here today to share another fun coffee card!

I got to play with these adorable Coffee Brads again to make my card.

This time, I wanted them to stand out against a busy background so I chose to use the red cups!!

I finished this card with a sweet coffee-themed sentiment accented by a 5mm square brad in silver. I wanted to make sure the sentiment didn't get lost, and the square brad adds a little bit of shine to make that sentiment strip pop!

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!
