Hello Crafty Friends - Today I am sharing a flower theme card created with Eyelet Outlet brads and bling.  Eyelet Outlet has so many products to create cards for many occasions.

I used stem dies and a pot die to create the base for the flowers.  Then I added colored daisy brads, white daisy brads, and sunflower brads on the stems.  I added green jewel bling on the stems for extra sparkle.  I decorated the pot with orange jewel bling.

Hello Pumpkin!

So, over the last few weeks, I’ve been creating a bunch of Thanksgiving table decorations, but the table isn’t the only place you can decorate.  I went through my stash of wood shapes and found this cute pumpkin and knew I must transform it to become part of this year’s holiday celebration!

I painted the base white and then lined it with some pumpkin washi tape. I realized that it was discontinued after I finished making it so I do not have a link to share...sorry :(  But there are so many other cute Washi Tapes to choose from, you won't even miss it.  I then placed some matching orange cardstock in the middle so my saying would pop.

To create the words “Hello Pumpkin”, I lined a piece of paper with the Black and White Dots Washi Tape and then used some dies to cut out the letters and place them on the pumpkin. How cool is that?!?! Die cutting washi tape!!! Just think of the possibilities.

I finished my pumpkin off with some Orange Pearl Bling, Orange Jewel Bling for the outline, and three of the Pumpkin brads. I added a paper twine ribbon so I can hang this cutie up!  I think I’m going to be hanging it up on the outside of my craft room door.

Thanksgiving Table Place Cards

Who’s ready for another Thanksgiving table decoration?  For this week’s creation, I made Turkey Place cards.  These are perfect for showing everyone where to sit and for a sweet keepsake for each guest.

I made three different place cards and with Eyelet Outlet’s assistance, was able to make each one as cute as the next.

 

The first place card is for Sean. His is made by using the Groovy Washi Tape, black Pearl Bling for the turkey eyes, red Jewel Bling for his body and finished off with a rustic Pinecone Brad. 

The next place card is for Caden.  His place card also has black Pearl Bling for the turkey eyes, brown Jewel Bling for his body and finished off with an adorable acorn brad from the Acorn and Squirrel brad collection.

The last place card is for Ms. Ryley Ann. Her turkey has black Pearl Bling for eyes, orange Jewel Bling on the body and highlighted with a cute little Pumpkin Brad. 

Place cards are super easy to make and are fun little gifts to give your guests. All you need is a little cardstock, scissors, glue and the cutest embellishments from Eyelet Outlet!

Cutest Pumpkin Tealight Holder

Halloween 2023 is in the books, and it was a sugary, good time!  Now, it’s time to start planning for Thanksgiving.

If you know me, you know I love to make my own decorations for every holiday and Thanksgiving is one of my favorites to create for. This week’s Eyelet Outlet creation, I started my decorating with this adorable fall colored pumpkin tealight holder.

It stands about 7 inches tall and 6 inches wide.

I made the base using the green Glitter Washi Tape which just happens to match the pumpkin leaves perfectly.

 

The actual pumpkin is two different fall themed patterned paper in which I embossed the outer layers.  I also added orange Jewel Bling to the outer layer for sparkle.

The leaves are inked with matching shades of green to give depth and several of the cute Pumpkin Brads were added to the top. The LED tealight reflects nicely off them!

To finish it off, I added little spiral vines as if it was just picked off the stalk.
This is a perfect beginning to a super cute Thanksgiving table centerpiece.

Halloween Shakers

There is finally a chill in the air which means only one thing...HALLOWEEN IS COMING!!
It is one of my absolute favorite holidays. You are SUPPOSED to eat candy!!! YESSSSS Please!
In honor of the upcoming scrumptious holiday, I decided to make a Halloween Shaker card!  I love making shaker cards and this one has a little Stacy-tude added.
 
I created the base by blending purple, orange and lime green inks to give it a fun feel. I created three separate shakers on this card – the candy corn, the bat and the witch’s hat. Inside each shaker are little, tiny bats, ghosts and BOOs. 

BUT the coolest part of the shakers is when you turn off the lights! They GLOW IN THE DARK!

I knew Eyelet Outlet would have the most perfect embellishments to make this card perfect.  I added several Spooky Eye Brads, a few Pumpkin Brads,  and a Jewel Brad on the which’s hat.
To make the edges pop, I added Black Pearl Bling and Orange Jewel Bling.

 
This was a fun and easy card to make, and I love how the extra details I added from EO really brings this card to the next level.

Think Outside the ROCKS

We all know how awesome all the embellishments from Eyelet Outlet are on regular crafting surfaces, but this week, I decided to think outside the rocks…oops…I mean, box.

I used ROCKS as my surface this week!!!  How fun is that?!?!

I’ve heard about people decorating rocks and leaving them in places outside for others to find and since I love to make folks smile, I decided to decorate some rocks of my own and place them somewhere in town.

I picked up a few smooth rocks and acrylic paints from my local craft store, got some inspiration from Pinterest and I was off!

The cute ROCK-o-Lantern is sporting a perfectly themed Witches Hat Brad.  Hanging off the hat is a Mini Spider Brad along with a eerie Ghost Brad and a single Spooky Eye Brad. What a fun little project this is to do with the kids or grandkids on those rainy fall days!

The next rock was used to create a campsite. After painting the ground, sky, and a few evergreens, I added a tent and campfire from the Camping Brads, a few Pine Tree Brads and of course, a soaring bald eagle from the Eagle Brads. To finish it off, I added some Orange bling for the stars.

Now, I’ll be the first to tell you that painting is not my strong suit but by adding all the adorable embellishments, I think they look pretty darn good.

Pumpkins!

It's Kim from Katydid Cards today and I'm happy to be spending time with you.

I tend to use pumpkins on my cards long after Halloween as they are such beautiful symbols of my favorite season, Autumn.  So, even though I've set my sights on Thanksgiving cards, pumpkins figure prominently.

On my first card, I used the Pumpkin Brads.  I also used the Mini Leaf Brads and Maple Leaf Quicklets.

This is a pocket card, which started out as a Silhouette store design #31587.  I eliminated the pumpkin, replacing it with the bushel of pumpkins file #49952.  Of course, I changed that up a bit as well to accommodate the brads.  Once I had my basic design laid out, I then selected the digital patterned paper and an embellishment from the Pumpkin Patch Kit by NitWit Collections to fill the base.

Here's a closer look at the bushel.  I just love those Pumpkins...the way the light hits them!  And see the leaves I added to the left; two large Maple Quicklets and two Mini Leaves.  While I didn't share a close-up of the Pumpkins, you can see I added three with two Mini Leaves and some of that vine I will expand on in a moment.

To accent, I used covered floral wire which I curled around a skewer as vines.  I learned this trick from the very talented Tina Goodwin.
Inside, I used another file from the Silhouette store.  This time, item #100116.  I converted it to print only as my sentiment.  Here's a look at that.

Next up, I took a totally different approach to my pumpkin using Orange Jewel Bling, Green Jewel Bling and Clear Jewel Bling (which I colored with Copic markers).  I used a rhinestone setting pattern as a general placement guide.  This took a while to do, but I sure do like the outcome.

I used Ivory Confetti card stock from Stampin' Up for the scalloped circle and card base.  The mats were cut from scrap patterned paper.  The greeting was from the now defunct My Digital Studio.  I dissected it a bit.  The bottom half of it is inside the card:
