Bless This Kitchen

The madness of Christmas is past and I feel like it's time to hunker down at home to cocoon a little. In my house, that always means some cleaning and cooking some of our favorite foods! I'm also always in need of some all occasion cards that I can use to send hellos or thank you notes. The card I've made today is perfect for that and it gives you the warm and fuzzies - or at least it does me.

This is super easy to make with a pre-printed tag and some EO washi tapes and brads. I extended a tag I had in my stash with a few strips of Dot Washi Tape. The extension gave me a place to build my scene with two Canister Brads, a spoon from Baking Brads, and a pot and mitt from the Cooking Brads. The background was made with three other washi tapes as listed below. The blue borders were something I've had in my stash for a long time so I was glad to find a good use for them. Finally, I added a mat behind the tag and the main polka dot panel and boom! Card done! Gotta love it when a simple card comes together.

Year in Review Susan's Top 5 Favorites

I've enjoyed another wonderful year of creating with Eyelet Outlet products and wanted to show you my top 5 projects for 2024.  Click on the link for each project for the original blog post and links to products used for each.

First up is a meme-inspired "Bar in the Shower" card that had me laughing the whole time I was making it!  Eyelet Outlet's various adult beverage brads brought this card to life!

Next up is a card that unlocks the mystery of getting a "Beach Body!"  It's much easier than you think!

A fun birthday card for the basket ball lover in your life hoping all their "Swishes Come True."

"I Fought the Lights" was a fan favorite on our social media pages! I think we can all relate!

I always love a vintage Christmas vibe and the gold foil washi tape added to these book spines and the retro Santa and deer on this project made "Old Fashioned Christmas" one of my favorites for the year.

Thank you for your patronage this past year and the Eyelet Outlet Design Team wishes you and yours a joyous holiday season!  See you next year!

Lauren's Five Faves of 2024

It's time to pick my (Lauren's) five favorite cards of 2024 featuring fabulous Eyelet Outlet Brads, Tapes and Bling; so here they are, in no particular order. Click the bolded italic text in each description to visit the original posts, which contain all the details and direct links you need!

I've made A LOT of cards with Book Tape + Book Brads and loved them all; but Books, Cats from August is currently my favorite!

Unicorn Sanity might be the silliest EO card I've ever made (ok, possibly tied with last year's Put My Foot Down, lol) but I couldn't resist... and I love how it came out.

I saw the idea for One Door Closes on one of the humorous "Sign Guys" social media sites and instantly thought, "I have the PERFECT brads and tapes for that!!!" :)

Despite being quite recent, this Angelic card from the beginning of December had to make the list!

Another card made from a funny meme on Instagram, the Unsuccessful Chameleon still makes me chuckle.

♥♥♥
Wishing you the happiest of holiday seasons,
followed by your most creative year yet in 2025!

is looking forward to new year of brads, tapes and diabolical puns!

I've picked mine but it's always hard to look through over 50 projects and choose your favorites. If you would like to be reminded of how to make these or if you wonder what products were EO's, just clink on the post links and it'll take you to the original posts. So - without further delay, here are my top five favorites of 2024!

This goofy looking snowman is tricked out with many holiday themed brads included a hat, wreath, ornament, and much more!

Everyone needs a little encouragement from time to time. This card has a lot of color and patterns for the dresses made with washi tape, hanger brads, and heart pearls.

Hang In There

There are two things I love from the EO store and that's the Girl Gnome Brads and the many Flower Brads. This thank you card also has added color from washi tapes.

These mittens are so cute on this card. They're decorated with Retro Christmas Tree Brads, Snowflake Brads, and Holly Brads. Snowflake bling adds a fun touch to the cuffs.

This little variation of a buckle card is created in Cricut Design Space and the buckle portion of the card is held in place when the card is closed by a little circle embellished with an Eyelet Outlet Candy Cane brad.

Santa's Ready to Sleigh!

One of my favorite things about card making is making scenes. EO's washi tapes, brads, bling and other accessories really give us a lot to work with for making scenes. I created this one located at Santa's workshop in the North Pole. It looks chilly but warms my heart!

I used Glitter Winter Washi Tape, one of my favorites, to create the winter tree scene in the background. I used Aleene's True Snow with glitter sprinkled on the top for the snow part of the scene. While it dried, I stamped, colored and cut out Santa's Workshop and the light pole.

I added the stamped images to the card front and then all the brads. The true charm of this scene comes from Santa, his sleigh, a deer, a poinsettia on the light pole and snowy trees, and a Merry Christmas saying. It looks like Santa is ready to leave for his big night!

Nutcracker Card

I really like the Eyelet Outlet Nutcracker brads and today I paired one with an Eyelet Outlet gift brad and pine tree brad.

I used images from Cricut Design Space to create a little border for my card that mimics my brad grouping. I added some gold glitter washi tape on both sides of my border.

After embossing the blue cardstock with a snowflake embossing folder, I decided to bring the snowflake touch forward with a few snowflake brads.

Blinged Out Angel Ornament

Hi everyone! I recently was gifted a set of dies that make a few different Christmas ornaments. I am entranced by this angel. It requires no glue. It just folds into a cone shape and the wings have slits that allow them to crisscross and that's what keeps it together. So clever!

Of course, I had to bling up an angel and EO has everything I needed to make this one gleam! I decorated her skirt with Swirl Pearl Bling in gold and used Holiday Bling at the top of the skirt. Then I applied Jewel Bling Strip in clear along the skirt's edge. Her wings are accented with Snowflake Bling and Red Snowflake Bling. Finally I placed a 12mm Bling Jewel as her face.

She turned out nicely and will match in nicely with some of my other homemade ornaments that I've created over the years. Simple but sweet!

Beautiful Bling!

I can say with complete confidence that Eyelet Outlet offers some of the most beautiful bling I've ever seen!  See all our bling under the "Bling & Sequins" tab on our home page. Today I'm bringing you a card that features a couple of my favorite bling products.

I created this card in Cricut Design Space using the slice, offset, and weld tools to create the base of the card then I added some stunning Eyelet Outlet bling to the ornaments on the front. The ornament on the left is embellished with a 1.5" snowflake and I used some fancy long bling on the smaller ornament. The fancy long bling is my absolute fav and it comes in several colors, but today I opted for clear.

I hope you'll add some of our fabulous bling to your holiday projects and don't forget to tag us on social media when you share pictures of how you've used it!

These angels have a sweet, slightly retro vibe that's perfect for adorning a diecut Christmas tree backed with Sparkle Gold Glitter Tape, studded with Pearl Bling and topped with a Star Brad. A mat and sentiment made from Music Note Washi completes the design.

Skating Snowman

Hello EO fans! It's suddenly very cold here and it made me think of snow and one of the things I have fun doing with my family - ice skating! In the Carolinas, there's only a few places to do that in the winter but I think a visit is due.

To make this card, I used a snowman die from Spellbinders and then decorated with many brads and some bling from the EO store. The background was embossed and the blue doily is from another die set in my stash. I had a lot of fun deciding what to put in this snowman's hands but settled on the wreath and ornament brads. I put a jaunty santa hat brad on his head to give him a little more personality. To bling it up a bit, I added two strips of clear jewel bling to the hat trim and pompom. His buttons are black pearl bling. The Snowman, Prancing Deer and Gift Brads were the final touches for this simple and fun card.
