It's All About The Details

Hello Eyelet Outlet Crafters!  Did you know that in United States the custom of kids trick or treating didn't start until the 1930's and 40's?  Kids were given homemade treats, such as popcorn balls, cookies, cake.  Halloween candy became commercialized in the 1970's and just this  last October in 2021, the candy sales reached the highest ever at 10 billion dollars! I decided to go old school this year and I am going to make homemade treats for my neighbors. Today I am sharing with you one of the several Popcorn treat boxes that I made using Doodle bug papers Fright Night collection. This fun popcorn box cut-file was easy to cut out on my Cricut and fast to assemble with a little folding, scoring and some glue. The best part of making crafts is decorating in my opinion. I used some of EO's Yellow Enamel dots and   Multi- Size Orange Pearl Bling. I also removed some of the purple pearl flat backs of the Purple Pearl Strips and glued them on to my popcorn box. I also created a little card/tag and added one of EO's 1/16" Tiny white eyelets to not only strengthen the tag but it added that extra special touch to make this popcorn box spooky cute. Lastly, I  embellished the box with a cute Doodle bug skull  sticker and glued on some kooky little googly eyes.

If you would like to see the walk-thru video of my Popcorn Box Project plus a few other boxes and gift bags with bag toppers the video link is Below:

What Part of Meow Don't You Understand?

Hi crafty friends!  Have you ever needed a snarky card to send to a cat-loving friend?

When I saw the Kitten Stamps, I knew that I needed to create a card for my dad, and the stamp paired perfectly with the Kitten Brads!

I heat embossed the bold sentiment in white and placed the playful kitten brads around it.  I also added a bow and some sequins, because bling makes everything better!

Awesome Neighbor

I've been designing for Eyelet Outlet for some time now, but I cannot remember a new release that I've been this excited about!  All four brad sets are simply amazing and I know you're going to love them as much as I do.  See them all here!

Today I'm show casing the BRAND NEW GNOME brads. There's twelve gnomes in each package and four different colors and I think they are just darling!  I put together this card for an awesome neighbor with gnome homes from the Cricut image library.  I added Eyelet Outlet mini leaf brads to the tree home and some lanterns from the camping brad set are also hanging from the tree.  The sun and cloud brads top everything off.  But the gnomes!  They steal the show, don't they?!

Thanks for stopping by today!  We'd love to see what you create with Eyelet Outlet products, so come by the Eyelet Outlet Fan Group on Facebook and show us!

Susan Creech is nuts about gnomes!

Framing Fall

When I (Lauren) saw this awesome Frame Washi in the Eyelet Outlet Online Store I couldn't wait to use it to show off a little collection of my favorite brads. Since we're heading into September and  looking forward to all things autumnal, a collection of Fall Brads, like ScarecrowsSunflowersApplesLeaf Brads and Mini Leaves seemed appropriate. Of course, with so many leaves, I needed the Rake from the Lawnmower Set (which is on sale!); and then I couldn't resist adding Sun and Cloud BradsButterflies and Mini Ladybugs aren't specifically autumnal, but the colors work nicely together, don't you think? A few strips of Script Tape set off the Frame cluster really well; and as a finishing touch, it's hard to beat a scattering of golden orange Sequins.

What's your favorite thing about autumn? Because I bet we have EO Brads and Tapes that will work perfectly!

Happiness is Coffee & Autumn Leaves!

Happiness is Coffee and Autumn Leaves!

I love Autumn! The cool, crisp mornings and beautiful, colorful leaves! And Coffee! I love Coffee!! I can't wait to sit on my front porch with a cup of coffee and view the colorful Autumn leaves! I guess you could say, I love life's simple pleasures!

In creating my card, I started with using the "Happiness Is" stamp from the Loads of Love Stamp Set and adding the cute coffee cup from the Coffee Stamp Set. I added some distressing around the edges and embellished with the coffee cup brad and fall leaf brads. After layering my sentiment, I paired it with Autumn leaf patterned paper by Paper Studio and added a gold and cream twine. I think this little card would brighten anyone's day!

This was a fun card to create and here's a few items you will need!

Glitter Washi and Flower

Glitter washi has to be a crafter's best friend. This washi
tape is so superior in its depth of sparkle I could
not wait to use it and it did not disappoint.
Plus, the glitter does not come off.

This card was created by stamping a Rubbernecker stamp on plain paper
using different inks. I then started layering on the other papers
and placing the Eyelet Outlet glitter washi. Before the final layer
I inserted the pearls brads from Eyelet Outlet.

Hope you enjoy. Here is the shopping list at Eyelet Outlet:

"The Nurse did it! " Halloween Retro-T.V Shaker Mem-Dex card

My most favorite season of the year is on its way!  I am so excited to be sharing with you my first design team project and to celebrate I am offering this Retro-T.V. mem-dex shaker card for free!  I designed this mem-dex in Adobe, as well as the "murder mystery" ombre sentiment. I then used my Cricut machine to cut out my patterned and solid color cardstock. I also used this cute nurse stamp from my stash and colored her in using Halloween colors to give her a spooky vibe.

I just love using Eyelet Outlet embellishments to give my projects that special touch! I used the Orange Pearl Bling to represent the knobs of the television and give it that 3-D effect. I also used the Black Enamel Dots for the television antennas to make them look extra cute! and last but not least, I used the Purple Jewel Bling Strips to zhoosh up my project.

Below is my shopping list as well as the marker colors I used to color my wicked nurse.

Make Me Coffee and Tell Me I'm Pretty!

Hello friends!  I am so excited to share my first ever project for Eyelet Outlet!  I recently jumped on the Memory Dex bandwagon and am having so much fun creating a collection of some of my favorite projects.

I thought that a Memory Dex card would be a great way to showcase some of the fun embellishments available in the store!  I paired this adorable image with some fun patterned papers.  I am a die-hard coffee drinker, so this sentiment really resonated with me!  The Sparkle Pink Glitter Washi Tape made the perfect divider between my two papers and since the theme is feeling pretty, I thought that I should add some pretty pink pearls.  I used the Pink Pearl Strips and separated several of the dainty little pearls and added them to the front of the card.
Have you jumped on the Memory Dex train yet?  If not, what is holding you back?
This was a really fun project to create!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello GOURD-GEOUS!

I seriously don't know how this happened, given how many shaker cards I've made, but somehow I have never filled one of them with Eyelet Outlet pumpkin sequins until now!

Aren't these just the cutest?!

This isn't the first time for using this cute little sentiment and so how about a little "Throw Back Thursday?"  I made this card a year or so ago using the Eyelet Outlet Pumpkin Brads and I added a few strips of our skinny washi in between the gourd paper and the plaid paper.

Be sure and stop by Eyelet Outlet for all your pumpkin needs this fall. Search "Pumpkin" on our home page to find all of our pumpkin themed sequins, brads, and washi tapes.

Bloomin' Beautiful

Is it just me (Lauren) or do Sunflowers seem to perfectly capture the transition between summer and fall? I especially love Eyelet Outlet Sunflower Brads and surely there's nothing better to pair them with than this gorgeous new extra-wide Sunflower Washi Tape? Though admittedly, the bright autumnal Sunflower Washi and Sunflower Glitter Tape are also quite lovely. I scattered a few tiny gold Star Sequins around, (because Sequins, imo, are ALWAYS a good idea!) and my flat, floral card is ready to mail.

If sunflowers aren't your thing, I'm pretty confident we've got one or two other items in the Eyelet Outlet Online Store that will appeal. And don't forget to be on the lookout for the EO Booth at a tradeshow near you!

Back To School Fuel!

It is "Back To School" season and a great time time to celebrate teachers and the hard work they do each week!

And who doesn't love coffee?? I love coffee and anytime is a great time to share a coffee gift card with a friend or teacher! In creating my card, I started with using the Coffee Stamp Set and created a background using brown and red. Then I used the Coffee Washi Tape and cut the letters out to spell “TEACHERS”. I did go over the letters with a fine tip black marker to make the letters stand out more. Next, I added my oval stamp, some layering, distressing, and twine. Lastly, I embellished my card using the adorable coffee brads!!

This was a fun card to create and would brighten anyone’s day!

So, brew you a hot cup of coffee and start creating!! Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to shop at the Eyelet Outlet for all your crafting needs!

Shine Bright

I am very excited to share my first card for Eyelet Outlet.
And, this is probably my last summer card for the season.
I am ready to move on after a very hot summer here in the South.

I was inspired by the lighthouse and the sailboat brads from
the Eyelet Outlet to create this late summer scene.
I stamped the scene with StazOn ink and was then able to
use water color and also add the multi-colored sunset.
All of the stamps were from Peddlers Den Stamps.
The title "Shine Bright" was die cut and set off with clear gems.

For the finishing, I framed the image multiple times using
black, white and turquoise papers. When framing out a card
I try to pick colors that coordinate or enhance the card.

Here is the Shopping List From Eyelet Outlet:

Boat and Lighthouse Brads
Jewel Bling (Clear)

I am looking forward to sharing my ideas and the wonderful products
from Eyelet Outlet with you as we head into the Fall and Holiday Season.

New Design Team Members Announcement!

Hello Ai fans! We are very excited to announce that we have added new Design Team members! Susan Creech, Lauren Bergold and Janet Axtman will continue to post on their normal assigned days.

After a long search and many qualified applicants, we selected four wonderfully talented designers and can't wait to see what they create. We know their talents will be a great addition to our blog. Please welcome them!

I live in a small town in South Carolina that is very rich in the arts and has lots of opportunities for art classes. I have been making cards and paper crafts for over 20 years. I am retired now and that allows for lots of time to create, especially in my favorite medium of watercolor. I also teach how to make Ukrainian-style Pysanky eggs. I was lucky to travel to Ukraine before the war and create eggs from a master.

Sending A Big Fall Hello!

Hello Ai fans! It's late August and we're starting to get a glimpse of fall in most parts. Fall is one of my favorite themes and this is my first true fall card of the season. There are so many fall related EO brads and washi tape. It's really hard to choose what to use for fall themed projects!

Here's a close up of the leaf, sunflower, scarecrow and lawn brads. The colors are so rich and perfect for all the fall cardstocks you may have in your stash. I also used Pumpkin Washi Tape and orange sequins from the store.

GEAR UP for a Great School Year!

I like to make shaker cards and I like to made shaped cards, so how about a shaped shaker card? I created this for my granddaughter to wish her a great school year, but this card could easily be adapted to a birthday card, too, with a little switch to the sentiment.

I filled the shaker with Eyelet Outlet gear brads (prongs removed for this application so they would shake) and some Eyelet Outlet heart sequins.

I also added some of the Eyelet Outlet eye brads and I think they are absolutely EYE POPPING!

Here's the inside of the my shaped shaker card.

I created this in Cricut Design Space and if you're a Cricut user as well, and would like to make it,  follow the links in the post to find the Eyelet Outlet embellishments used and follow this link to my Cricut Profile where you'll find the file.

Best Fishes

I (Lauren) have made a "Best Fishes" birthday card* for my brother nearly every year for probably a decade. This version features a background made of Ocean Washi, a sentiment diecut from Wood Tape backed with scraps of cardstock, and in the starring role our Eyelet Outlet Fish Brads (they're on sale!), plus some of the Trout from the Trout and Bass set.

Did you know that there's an EO Fish Stamp Set, as well? Plus cute and colorful Fish BradsFishing LuresFishing Poles and several styles of Fish Tape! Check out all of the Fishy Goodness at Eyelet Outlet!

Welcome to Booville!

I have been thinking about my Halloween cards lately and I knew I wanted to do something with a haunted house. I didn't want it to be a scary house though. I think I succeeded with this shaped card. The house is from the Cricut library. I adapted it so it could be a shape card. I used some black Stickles to give the house a little sparkle. It helps I think to make it even less scary.

I used many Halloween products on this card from the store and the Vacuum and Broom Brads which are definitely not typically Halloween. It works though! I even used two Pumpkin Sequins on the stoop.

This was really a lot of fun to create. Notice that the homeowner left her vehicle on the step. I guess if you drive something compact enough, you really don't need a garage! Ha ha ha!

Witch Way To The Candy

I had SO MUCH fun with this one!  I had this idea for a skirt from a rosette and it took a few tries to get the skirt the right size for the rest of the witch and the amazing witch leg brads, but once I got it, I LOVED it!

If you haven't tried the Eyelet Outlet's grass washi tape, please do! You'll thank me later!!  It's got such a nice feel to it and easy to use.  I added some skinny glitter washi tape to the witch's hat as well.

The fence was calling out for a kitten brad, and of course, Eyelet Outlet has those, too!

Thanks for stopping by today!
