Design Team Monday with Susan

Hi Eyelet Outlet friends! Susan here, bringing you a couple of cards with an Autumn twist. We had our first cool day of the season last week and I was glad for the break in the heat and excited about sweater weather, so here's a little card with dozens of embellishment possibilities!

I've seen several variations of this card on Pinterest and the creators used punches to create the card base. I created a cut file in my Cricut Explore by welding and attaching a few different shapes together. I embossed the front of the sweater with my Cuttlebug Argyle Embossing folder. Decorating the card was such fun using Eyelet Outlet jewels and bling for the buttons and broach!

With the cooler temperatures, we need to also start thinking about Halloween! Eyelet Outlet has so many darling brads for Autumn and Halloween! This card features their new Spooky Eye brads!

This hungry looking fellow came from the Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. With my Cricut Explore, I was able to actually draw his mouth and nose, but these Eyelet Outlet Spooky Eye Brads totally MAKE him!

Design Team Monday with Susie

Welcome Eyelet Outlet Fans!
Susie here to share a few Halloween projects with you.  I've been loving shaker cards, so I thought I would conjure up a few and include some Eyelet Outlet Brads.  The first ones in my shaker window are some Mini Spider brads.  They are crawling all over the moon and stars.  SPOOKY!  I added some  Enamel Dots to the sentiment banner to finish my card.

Here is a close up:

For my second shaker card I wanted to make a window with some scary eyes looking out.  The new Spooky Eye brads were perfect for my really spooky Halloween window.

Here is a close up of the window:

Be sure to grab some brads and enamel dots to make some fun Halloween projects today.  And stay tuned here at the blog. We always have something fun to share with you and inspire you! If you have a chance,

Design Team Wednesday with Dawn

The season to spook and boo is just around the corner!
You probably have some fun die cut silhouettes perfect for Halloween.
Use the amazing bling strips and brads from The Eyelet Outlet to
jazz up your cards and creations!

Here, I took these two black bats to  Dazzing Dynamic Duo by adding
purple Bling strips. One small rhinestone adorns the Pumpkin brad...a little
glean on the orangy skin!  And a few Mini Candy Corn (brads) never hurt a body
during the Halloween season!

Right off the brad line are these fantastic new Mini Spider brads.
Petite and cute, you will get a scream of delight from the recipient!
I electrified this jack o lantern by using bling strips and the Spooky Eye brads.

Thanks so much for trick or treating with me today at
The Eyelet Outlet!  Be sure to check out my haunt,
Sunnyside Up, for more fall ideas!

Design Team Monday with Kerry

Hello Eyelet Outlet fans!  Kerry here, sharing a couple of cards today!

First up, a super easy Thank You card.

For the background, I used the big blue flower washi tape and red 4mm jewel strips.  A perfect sentiment from Hero Arts and finished it with stars from the red/white/blue enamel dots and one of the NEW red/white/blue star brads on the bow.

And for the second card,

I absolutely adore the new Fawn brads.
I decided to create some scenery for the little fawns using a Memory Box die, then finished up with a sentiment from Amuse.  Viola!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Make sure you sign up for our newsletter here on the Eyelet Outlet website so you are the first to hear about new products and special sales!

Have a fabulous day!

Welcome Alice Carman!!

We're thrilled to announce that Alice Carman has agreed to share her talents with us and join our team!

Please help us give her a warm welcome as she shares her very first Design Team inspiration post!

My favorite time of year is about to start and I couldn't be any more excited. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I wanted to share a fun idea with you. Here's a simple project to create with the kids by decorating an already made wood coffin I found at a local craft store.

Coffin

First use the wooden box as a template to cut out inserts for the coffin. You will need one for the inside bottom of the coffin and another for the inside top of the coffin. I used red card stock and stamped it with spider webs. Then I used the NEW Mini Spider brads to finish the webbing I stamped. Next, I used felt to line the inside bottom of the coffin and inked the edges black to give it a more custom look.

I also used 21 mm Red Jewel Brads to line the outside of the coffin. Next, Line the top rim with Black Pearl strips. The pearls are on a strip which makes it easier to adhere on to your project. After all is added you're done!

For my next project I designed this card using flowers and jewel bling.

I used Paper Flowers which I folded in half and added the star burst bling from the bulk bling pack. For the center I used a black pearl to finish the detail of the flower.

Hope you enjoyed the two different projects today and I'll be back with more fun and innovative ways to design with brads and bling.

Have a great day!
