Tea and Flamingos? Why not?!

Hello EO fans! I went all out today and made a really girlie card for the blog today. This is not my normal style but hey, it's fun to branch out a little and do something I don't normally do.

This is a 6 x 6 card base which is a size I don't do that often. So plenty of out of the norm going on for me on this one! I was inspired by the ephemera card which features tea cups and flamingos. Flamingos with tea isn't something I typically associate together but hey, it works nicely here. Flamingos can go anywhere and add a bit of whimsy to everything they touch.

I made the wide background strip by adding Flamingo Washi Tape - Wide to a lacy die cut strip. At the top, I added Fancy Long Bling-Pearls & Jewels in Pink. I added two strips of  Pink Skinny Foil Washi Tape and Jewel Strip Bling in clear. I also added the purse and shoe from the Shoe & Purse Brad Set. And of course I added a Flamingo Brad. I added Pink Pearl Bling and two Paper Flowers with a Pearl Bling center. I also sprinkled the pearl bling on my card for additional decoration.

I hope you like this unusual twist on flamingos. I love the colors and the whimsy nature of it.

You're Import-ANT to are

We're finally starting to have some nice weather and that's turning my attention to picnic season, so today, I've got a little card for you that features the frequent, albeit, uninvited guests, at all picnics, ANTS!

The picnic basket is from the Cricut image library and it's nestled on to a strip of wonderful wide grass washi tape.  I love this tape so much!!  The mini ant brads are forming a trail to investigate what goodies they might find inside the picnic basket.  I used a couple of red and black enamel hearts on the sentiment.

Flamazing Flamingo

"This is what Flamazing looks like" was inspired by the adorable pink flamingo brads! Wouldn't this be a fun card to give to someone you would like to show your appreciation to?

I created this card by starting with the flamingo wide washi tape for my top and bottom borders. I added coordinating green cardstock for the middle. Then created my sentiment adding the flamingo brads, green jewels strip for extra embellishment, and layered with pink patterned cardstock.

Garden Gnome

Love these flower and garden tool brads from the Eyelet Outlet. Plus, I had
to add a few butterflies to this cute scene.

The garden tool brads come in two colors - shiny and tarnished. The
flower brads come in multiple colors as do the butterflies. The image
was colored with Copic Markers and I drew in the grass

Finally, I added a cute sentiment and washi tape from Eyelet Outlet.
There is a large selection of washi tapes and so many
for the Spring.

Butterfly Thanks

Happy Saturday Eyelet Outlet Fans! Today I wanted to use butterflies in my card. Like many other people, I think butterflies are one of the nicest things you can use on a card.

To construct this, I used a Spellbinders Glimmer Set to put rainbow foil on white cardstock. The pattern is a pretty floral. I also glimmered the sentiment and cut it out.

I colored the flowers with Copic Markers and then I made the blue background in the middle by covering a strip of white cardstock in Sparkle Blue Glitter Washi Tape. I cut it out with a die included in the set.

Next I cut a rectangle out of the middle using a stitched die. On that piece I attached Butterfly Brads and Blue Pearl Bling-Multi in two corners. Then I edged an A2 card base with more Sparkle Glitter Washi Tape before gluing the cut frame on top. I put foam tape on the back of the middle panel and adhered it to the card. This give is a nice pop-up look. I added a Butterfly Bright Brad to the sentiment before attaching it with foam tape to the card front too.

Teacher Appreciation

I've been having a good time creating altered paper clips lately and today I have one to show you that would be a perfect little gift for Teacher Appreciation Week coming up soon.

I've seen these paper clips done with card stock or felt, but I chose felt for mine.  I embellished it with Eyelet Outlet book brad and heart brad.  The little card I created to present the paper clip on is embellished with our popular book washi tape, a few strips of skinny red and yellow washi tape as well as a yellow enamel heart.

Eyelet Outlet will be a vendor at the Creating Keepsakes Convention in St. Louis this coming weekend, so if you're in the area, stop by and see us!

Bird Brads of a Feather, Flock Together

In this case our Eyelet Outlet Tropical Bird Brads are flocking together on a Happy Bird-Day card and tag, atop backgrounds of Sky Washi and Cloud Tape, respectively; there's a border of fun and funky Giraffe Tape on the card and the vintage birdcages have been diecut from EO Wide Wood Washi. On the tag, the cage is cut from Glitter Gold Washi and there's a Cloud Brad and a Mini Bee to keep the cute toucan company.

If Tropical Birds aren't your favorite, check out lots of other Feathered Friends in the EO Store, including Owls both colorful and realistic, Eagles, Seagulls, Bluebirds & Robins, lots of Cardinals as well as colorful Flying Birds and Mini Birds. (PS: There are plenty of Bird Tape Styles, too!

Let's Dance

This was such a fun card to create with the dancers fom
Hetty Clare Designs. I thought the record brads from Eyelet Outlet
would be the perfect embellishment for this image. I love
these brads and they come in a packet of two sizes and varying colors.

To jazz this card up a bit more I used Sakura glitter pens and my favorite
glitter washi tape. Everyone knows I love this washi tape from
Eyelet Outlet and the glitter never comes off. I added a few more
black jewels and I am off to the party.

Good Days Start With Coffee and You!

Hello everyone! I'm a HUGE coffee drinker. If my day doesn't start with a good cup of Joe, my day is not off to an ideal start by any measure. I know I'm not alone. Fortunately it's Eyelet Outlet to the rescue for all my coffee themed cards! EO has many products that are coffee related or coordinate nicely with the theme.

Washi Tape doesn't need to just be an afterthought. Here it's the star of the card, with several rolls combined together to make a great background. Adding coffee brads and coordinating enamel dots make the most of the kuokka stamp which is from Kat Scrappiness. Here's a complete list of products used for this card.

Playing With A Full Deck

I think my brother will get a kick out of this birthday card because we are both shuffling a little slower now days! But so far, anyway, we're still playing with a full deck!

I put Eyelet Outlet's red and black playing card washi tape to work for me to create the back ground on this card, laying down strips on to my cardstock. On the top mat I added a few strips of skinny red washi tape. Here's a  little tip that I use to make sure my washi tape is straight. I use my scoring tool to put down some light scored lines to use as a guide when applying the washi tape.

I scanned the back of an actual playing to create the cards that are face down and then put some Eyelet Outlet playing card brads on top.

I'm off to make a few more of these for my stash because I thought of a few more folks who'd enjoy this one!

Featuring Eyelet Outlet ShellsShell Corners and Sea Shore Brads, clustered with stamped shells and diecut coral, augmented by elegant White Pearl Swirl Bling. April Desktop Calendar Idea

As we are enjoying spring blossoms and bright green leaves here in SC, we are also enjoying April showers! I thought these little rainboots were just the thing to use to create a fun desktop calendar!

I created my "card" front using a rain drop stamp on the background and stamping and cutting out my sentiment and rainboots. Next I added one of my favorite washi's, the green grass washi, to the bottom edge. I embellished by adding the mini ladybug, mini bee and boot brads and some cardstock for layering, along with a small printed April calendar.

I adhered my "card front" to only half of the green cardstock, so that I could fold it for standing. I added the orange brads to anchor the stand up position and the green grass washi across the bottom. Lastly, I added a sticky note pad for those quick notes you want to make conveniently! I think this is a fun desktop calendar and note pad you could enjoy all month!

A Bunny Note

I am still having fun making spring cards. I had this cute bunny
die cut from Spellbinders that I used and then designed
the card in a diagonal manner.

The glitter washi tape from Eyelet Outlet is always my favorite
and I used it to help accentuate the diagonal look. And, who
says hearts are just for Valentine cards - I think they look perfect here.

The flower, brad, enamel dots and the bunny's little check are
all from the Eyelet Outlet. Be sure to check out the shopping list

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Sunday everyone! Today I'm celebrating Easter with an egg shaped card. I cut the shaped card using a Cricut pattern. I cut a smaller egg shape out of marbleized cardstock and proceeded to decorate it.

I cut the phrase out of gold foil cardstock and glued it to the front. I added Eyelet Outlet embellishments to reflect the Easter theme.

Prepare to Dye

When I dyed Easter eggs as a little girl, we had those flimsy little wire holders to lower the egg into the dye, but this Pinterest hack of using a whisk is so much better!

I created this fun Easter card with images from Cricut Design Space and I embellished it with white egg brads and enamel hearts from Eyelet Outlet. If you’d like to make it, I’ve shared the file on my Cricut profile.

If you're also a Cricut crafter and you’d like to make this project, I’ve shared the file on my Cricut profile in the Cricut Community within Cricut Design Space.

Wishing all of our Eyelet Outlet fans a happy Easter weekend!

Hippity Hoppity...

...Easter's on its way! And since Easter wouldn't be much fun without bunnies, luckily there are Eyelet Outlet Rabbi Brads, Pastel Rabbit Brads (they're on sale!) and Rabbit Tape; not to mention White Daisy Brads and Cloud Tape, which pair really well with all of the above.

Whether you're celebrating Easter, Passover, or just the arrival of Spring, I hope this first week of April will bring you sunshine, creativity and maybe a treat or two!

He is Risen!

I have really enjoyed creating Easter cards over the last couple weeks! This one I created is very special! It is a reflection of the true meaning of Easter! It is the reason we celebrate! He is Risen!

In creating this card, I started with stamping my multi cross background and adding distress inks to white cardstock. I then used the beautiful "time for flowers" wide washi tape for the bottom center. Since I do not have a stamp that says "He is Risen", I thought it would be fun to pull out my vintage typewriter to create the greeting label. I layered with brown cardstock and 2 paper flowers centered with a gold cross. I added several pearl bling in brown for embellishment and tied a lace ribbon around the middle and layered on a gold patterned cardstock to finish it off. I hope you enjoy!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you and your family have a blessed Easter celebration!

Easter Egg and Chicks

This is a colorful Easter egg that I die cut and then used
pastel brads from Eyelet Outlet for the center of the
flowers.  I have been waiting to use the cute yellow chick
brads that come in two shapes to accent this egg.
I think they are adorable.

Of course, I love the washi tape from Eyelet Outlet and
frequently use it as borders on my cards. I finished off the card
with some blue strip jewels. Be sure to check out the shopping
list (below) of the Eyelet Outlet items used in this project.

You're unFROGetable!

Good Sunday morning friends! Spring is in full bloom here in the Carolinas and I'm already dreaming about the long and lazy summer days ahead. I decided to channel that idea. bring out one of my favorite stamps and make it even better with EO embellishments.

I first colored my no-line image of this lazy frog and fussy cut it out. I created the two backgrounds and then added my fun EO brads. First I added to Lollipop Brads underneath the mushroom. Don't ask me why. I just thought it added more whims! Mini Ladybug and Mini Bee Brads were also added to this scene. Then I added a frog and a cattail from the Frog Set Brad Set

Love how this turned out and I enjoyed making it so much. I hope I've inspired you to dream of warmer days ahead.
