Autmnn Sparkle Tree

I am still loving fall although we do not get much color where I live in
South Carolina. This tree is from a folded gate card die. I used paper
with text on it because I thought it gave the tree a more interesting look.

There are lots of embellishments adorning this tree from Eyelet Outlet
including jewels I put on as the leaves, pumpkin brads and leaf brads.
There are lots of fun things to make with the fabulous fall embellishments.

Be sure and check out the shopping list I put together!

A Special Delivery from the North Pole!

It's the time of year that I make as many Christmas cards as I can to be given to friends, family and co-workers. Time is always working against me so I look for quick cards that don't necessarily look like they are quick. Today's card is a good example of what I strive for and it's easy with Eyelet Outlet washi tapes, brads and bling.

The North pole print is from Cricut Design Space (#M1AB058D3). I sized it to fit as shown on an A2 card base. To jazz it up, I applied Garland Washi Tape to the top. Then I used three other washi tapes on the bottom - Pine Tree, Skinny Holiday-Green, and Skinny Washi Tape Green Dots. I inserted the Santa & Deer Brads along with the Tree Brads-Snow. Then I added Holiday Bling in the top corners and clear Jewel Multi-Bling in the  middle of some of the printed stars. The last step was to add a strip of Sparkle Red Glitter Washi Tape on each side of the A2 card before applying the the topper with double sided foam tape. Drop the mike! A jolly holiday card ready in less than 15 minutes from the Cricut machine to completion! My kind of card making!

Have a Spooktacular Day!

Hi friends!  I wanted to squeeze in one last Halloween card before it is too late!  I have been having so much fun with the Halloween-themed brads, that I couldn't resist!

I created a new (to me) fun fold for this card - a Split-Window card.  I think this fold was made popular by the amazing Jennifer McGuire.  It was really fun and relatively easy to create.
In case you haven't noticed yet, I am a HUGE fan of the sparkly washi tapes!  I use them ALL the time!  It makes a perfect trim on projects and this one was no different!  I used it to trim out the edges of both of my patterned papers.
I added a Witch Hat and a couple Mini Candy Corn Brads to the sentiment panel and popped it up on foam tape.
I really love this card!  As you can see, it is similar to a Book Fold Card; however, it has a die-cut between the two panels.
Shopping List:

I hope that you love it too!  Are you a fan of fun-fold cards or do you prefer traditional flat-fold cards?
Thanks for spending a few minutes of your day with me!

Christmas Gift Box

One of my favorite things about the holidays is using my craft supplies to create beautiful gift boxes for my family and friends.  I used my Cricut to create this particular box.  The bottom is  made with white cardstock and I used a digital snowflake paper to create the lid.

I added some gorgeous Eyelet Outlet snowflake bling in both the 1.5" inch size and also the larger 2" size.. I created this slider for the top also and added some skinner silver washi tape, a holly brad, the new Santa brad, and a heart brad.  I applied silver glitter washi tape to a strip of card stock to create the band that the slider fits on to.

At the Creech Household, the prettier the package, the more likely the gift is underwear!

WITCH Way to the Candy?

Eyelet Outlet seasonal Brads added to pre-printed journal cards make for Halloween cards so quick and easy, you won't even need a magic wand! Especially if you make coordinating tags and backgrounds using a few of the hundreds of gorgeous styles of EO Washi.

By neatly applying strips of tape to plain white cardstock, you are, in effect, designing your own patterned paper! For this trio of Halloween cards, I (Lauren) started with just three sweet witch tags out of Prima Marketing's Luna collection from Paper Anthology, plus a few small scraps of ribbon. I traced the tag shape onto cardstock covered with bright Orange Halloween Tape, charcoal grey texty Halloween Tape and Halloween Dot Washi, to make companion tags for each witch. I made some slightly larger background panels using the orange and grey tapes again as well as Coloring Book Washi; with mats of Glitter Black Tape beneath each. Then it was time to add brads to all the tags: pink Heart Brads, PumpkinsBatsWitch Hats (which fit the sweet witches perfectly!) as well as Mini Spiders and Mini Candy Corn... both of which are on sale! Et Voila: Three flat, mailable Halloween cards in less time than it took my favorite British TV Detective to solve this week's crime.

Adorable cards for any occasion are no mystery... the perfect Brads and Washi for your next project are waiting for you in the Eyelet Outlet Store!

I layered my gingerbread cookie on a stamped recipe card image! Lastly, I embellished my recipe card with the adorable little gingerbread cookie brads! Wouldn't this card be fun to attach to a bag of homemade gingerbread cookies? Your loved ones would love that! Can't you just see the smiles of those who receive a cute gingerbread card with homemade goodies! Autumn Girl...

This is a girl I stamped from an image from Unity Stamps then die cut.
I colored with Copics and water color. I had a great time coloring
in the pumpkins and then adding the adorable pumpkins brads from the
Eyelet Outlet. They are a perfect size to add on to most cards.
I then included some falling leave brads.
I love that the packet they come in has different sizes and colors.

Finally I framed out the scene with fall washi tape from Eyelet Outlet
with pumpkins and leaves on it.
This is the first time I ever framed a card with washi tape.
I have been doing cards for over 20 years and why I have never done this
before I have no idea but it is simple and mitered corners are so easy to cut.

Welcome Neighbor Gift Bag

While we usually think of using Eyelet Outlet products on cards and scrapbooks, you can use them for packages and bags too. The Design Team has produced many wonderful bags and boxes over the years decorated with EO products.

As they say, Necessity is the Mother of Invention. In my case, I needed a decorative bag to welcome a new neighbor on my street. I had made some cookies and instead of making a card, I thought a home themed bag and tag would be a nice thing to use as well as practical.

I started with a plain brown paper gift bag, I added stripes of Sparkle Red Glitter Washi Tape. It adds the sparkle I wanted and it works so much better than glitter cardstock because it flexes with the bag. I also added Red/White Dot Washi Tape. I wanted to add something floral to go with the floral images in my stamps so I used one of my favorites Flower Washi Tape. I accented the little tag with Red Jewel Multi-Size Bling. Then to make a big splash and make this bag extra special, I added White Pearl Swirl Bling. The last details were a Square Jewel in green and a Red Pearl Heart.

I am pleased with how this bag turned out. It's really quite pretty and definitely has a lot of handmade charm to offer. I will be delivering my cookies with pride in this gift bag. The same technique can be used to make a bag for any holiday or celebration. Take a look at your bag stash and see what you come up with!

Clean and Simple Holiday Spirit

Hey everybody! I hope last week was a good one and you're enjoying your weekend! Leslie here, back again as a guest designer, sharing a super cute clean and simple Christmas card showing off the Gnome 2 Brads, and a little extra pizzazz added with the Glitter Red Washi Tape and gemstones from the 4mm Red Jewel Bling Strip!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from heavyweight white cardstock along with short layering panels cut from two coordinating patterned prints, and rounded the bottom right corner of each. I applied a strip of the Glitter Red Washi Tape, stamped a sentiment, and added three Gnome 2 Brads. The finishing touch was adding several gemstones from a 4mm Red Jewel Bling Strip.

I cut the inside panel from white cardstock, embellished it with the same two patterned prints used on the front, and stamped a sentiment.

I've Fallen In and I Can't Get Out!

Hello crafty friends!  Happy Friday!  As much as I love fall, it is so hard for me to come to terms with the fact that Halloween is nearly here.  It is still 80 degrees here in the Pacific Northwest, which is just bizarre!

Anyhow, I made a fun Halloween card and couldn't wait to share it with you!  I started by making a cauldron using my Cricut and set it aside.

I stuck with the black and orange layers, as I really wanted the brad and cauldron colors to stand out.  I used the Witch Leg Brads upside down to make it appear that the witch fell in the cauldron and added a Witch Hat Brad at the base of the cauldron.  Lastly, I pulled apart one of the Jewel Green Swirl Bling Embellishments so that I could use the jewels individually and scattered them on the card front.

Thanks so much for spending a few minutes with me!  I would love to know if you make and send Halloween cards or not!  Please make sure to leave us a comment and share!

Gnome for the Holidays

I just can't get enough of Eyelet Outlet's new gnome brads!  Today I've used the ones with red and green hats on a punny little card.

The needlepoint image is from Cricut's "Everyday is a Holiday" image set.  I used the hide contour function to replace the needlepoint gnomes with the darling gnome brads and the new snow covered tree brad.   I also topped the tree with a small heart brad and added a strip of Christmas Patterned Washi Tape.  I liked the stitching on this tape and thought it went great with the needlepoint image, but any of our Christmas themed tapes would work.

Just 66 more days until Christmas, so let's get busy on those holiday cards! If you're a Cricut user and would like to create this card, here is a link you can follow to make it. I've even added the holes for perfect placement of your brads!

Birds of a Feather

I (Lauren) think it's possible that whoever said, "Good things come in small packages" may very well have been thinking about Eyelet Outlet Tropical Bird Brads! These colorful feathered friends are exactly the right size for Penny Black's Vintage Birdcage Dies, which I diecut from our Pink Foil Tape backed with a scrap of plain white cardstock. A punny diecut sentiment, a few fronds of foliage with Colored Daisy and Green Leaf Brad accents, as well as a Flower Washi mat complete the design.

There are other "Birds of a Feather" in the EO Store, including Bluebird and Robin Brads, three kinds of CardinalsFlamingos and several styles of Owls, some of which are on sale!

can never resist a punny sentiment!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Have you started your Christmas shopping? These cute little shoppers have it all "wrapped" up!

I love Christmas shopping! And it looks like these cute shoppers are ready to go! In creating my slimline card, I started with my background using the "Glitter Tall Tree Washi Tape", "Glitter Black Washi Tape, and black cardstock. I then stamped my VW bug and van on cardstock and colored in with markers! After fussy cutting them out, I embellished by adding the "Caroler Brads" as my drivers and the "Gift Box Brads" to the top of the VW van! Lastly, I added my sentiment in white.

Can't you just see these happy little gift givers spreading cheer! I love creating holiday cards! I hope you enjoyed this one! Be sure to visit Eyelet Outlet for your holiday card crafting needs!

Santa Gift Bag

Santa is on his way very soon and I made this cute gift bag
(lots of folds and sticky tape) so he could use it to gift someone a present.
The best part are the cute new Santa brads from the Eyelet Outlet.
I used them going down Santa's shirt along with some clear jewels.
The collar also has some super cute Santa brad boots from Eyelet Outlet.

The bag is not difficult to make just a lot of measuring, taping and scoring.
There are lots of templates on the Internet. I am
also planning to make an elf bag soon in green.

Falling for You

Fall is such a fun season. I love the deep rich colors. It's comforting to think of all the comforts of fall - hot apple pie, colorful leaves, scarecrows, apple picking and of course pumpkins!

My card was created by using EO's Sunflower Washi Tape as a background. On top, I placed a wood and wire cover plate die cut. I made my shaker pumpkin by modifying a pumpkin pattern in Cricut Design Space. Then I filled it EO's awesome Pumpkin Sequins. I stamped the top of the window with the sentiment, "Every year I fall for pumpkins, autumn leaves, hay rides, cozy sweaters and you!" It's a bit hard to pick up in the photo but it is easy to read in person. Finally I cut two circles out of matching silver and orange cardstock and placed a rake from the Lawn Mower Brads, an Apple Brad and a Scarecrow Brad.

Sweet Snowman with Carolers

Hey everybody! I hope last week was a good one and you're enjoying your weekend! Leslie here, back again as your Saturday hostess and guest designer, sharing a snowman box card featuring the new Caroler Brads and Snow Tree Brads along with the Christmas Holly Washi Tape (for the sentiment) that's already in the store! This was such a fun project!

I cut the base from white linen cardstock, and the rest of the pieces from black glitter, red, brown, black, yellow and orange cardstock. I assembled the box card and added three Caroler Brads and three Snow Tree Brads. I applied a strip of the Christmas Holly Washi Tape to a scrap piece of white cardstock, punched the 'Merry & Bright' to use as the sentiment, and layered it on a slightly larger circle punched from black cardstock.

Trick or Treat!

Today I'm bringing you a couple of Trick or Treat bags that will definitely be a TREAT to receive!

I created these bags with my Cricut.  Using a treat bag image from Cricut Design Space, I sliced about a third of the top off of the bag and applied digital paper to the bottom two thirds with pattern fill. The digital papers I've used are from JoKavanaughDesigns on Etsy.  I used a cute fonts to add the recipients names to the top, then flattened all for print-then-cut.

The fun really got started when I started embellish my treat bags!  I used one of Eyelet Outlet's Halloween washi tapes and also a purple glitter washi tape on the bags.  I added one of our popular pumpkin brads in the arms of the gnome as well as a mini spider brad dangling from his hat.  On the other bag and used some purple swirl bling and a witch's hat brad in the center of my little rosette.

These were as much fun to create as I think they will be to receive!  Thanks for stopping in today and keep on crafting!

Here We Come A Caroling...

I am excited to share with you a Christmas Greeting Card today featuring the new adorable caroler brads!

I think these little happy carolers are so cute and festive! I started with Kraft cardstock to create a 5x7 card and distressed the edges using a dark green ink. I then began measuring the top of my card for placing my wreaths and banners. After placing the wreath brads, ribbon, banners with added jewel brads, I went to work on creating the center portion. I love the Christmas hymn, Joy To The World, so I added a portion of the sheet music for my middle and layered on to a fun Christmas floral patterned paper! I added my sentiment in dark green and embellished with Christmas carolers and snowflake bling jewels.

This was a fun card to create! I loved making the banner across the top! Here is your shopping list for Eyelet Outlet products used!

Christmas Gnomes Camping

This was fun holiday card I created with a camper decked out for the holidays.
I colored it with Copics and then added a lot of gnomes from our new
Christmas brad collection. The gnomes seems to be having a grand
time at their campground.

The tree are also brads in the new collection and I really like the
snow effect on them. There are clear gems on all
the snowflakes for a little sparkle.

Finally at the bottom you will notice some Merry Christmas Washi Tape
from the Eyelet Outlet. There are lots of fabulous Washi Tapes in the store
so  be sure to check them out when you have a moment.
