Fishing You a Happy Father's Day!

Hello EO fans! It's Janet here with a fishing card Dad will keep for years to come. The sentiment is cut with vinyl on my Cameo 4. Vinyl works great for something like this because you can cut even the tiniest letters and shapes perfectly. Surrounding the sentiment are Trout Brads, Fishing Pole Brads and Fishing Brads (the hooks). I also used matt finish enamel dots. These are not shiny and so absolutely perfect for masculine cards. It's adds pops of color without adding shine which is not so masculine. The final touch was spraying some Dylusions Spray on it to give it a water spattered look.

Snowy Nighttime Christmas Sky!

Hey everybody! I hope you had a good week and your weather is nice where you are! Leslie here, sharing a Christmas card with a pretty inked snowy nighttime sky featuring our City Skyline Washi Tape and Snowflake Brads along with Santa and his reindeer!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from heavyweight white cardstock along with a layering panel from lighter weight white cardstock. I employed the DTP (direct-to-paper) technique to ink the background with stormy sky and chipped sapphire distress inks and then splattered white acrylic paint mixed with a tad bit of water with my fan brush across the panel. I applied a strip of City Skyline Washi Tape to a scrap piece of heavyweight white cardstock I had on my desk, cut it out along the tops of the buildings, and adhered it to the bottom of the inked panel. I stamped Santa and his reindeer and the sentiment in black ink, and then added the Snowflake Brads to complete the panel.

I cut the inside panel from lighter weight white cardstock and embellished it with a super narrow strip of blue cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and layered the panel on blue cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hooked On You

When I saw this fishing hat SVG at Miss Kate's Cuttables, I knew I needed to add some Eyelet Outlet fishing lure brads to it.

T

To keep with my theme, I created the background picture with drawn fishing lures from the Cricut image library.  The lure I used for the sentient is also a Cricut image that I created an offset for and added the text.

World's Best Handyman Dad!

Hi everyone! Father's Day is coming up and for my family this is an extra special one because it's also my son's 17th birthday! Yes, folks. He was born on Father's Day. It rarely lines up on the same day but this is one of those years and I can't wait to celebrate with both of my best Dudes!

This card was created with my Silhouette Cameo 4 machine and an oldie but goodie file from Jamie Cripps called A2 Tool Pegboard Card #60346. It's just right to hold Eyelet Outlet Tool Brads with two Heart Shaped Enamels and a single Green Enamel Dot. This is super quick to make and you can buy this file as an .svg if you'd like to try it on a different cutter. So fun and perfect for that guy that enjoys working on projects.

Box Card For The Kitchen Cook!

Hey everybody! I hope you had a great week and have something fun planned this weekend, like crafting perhaps?! I'm a huge box card fan and when I found this oven box card cut file online I automatically thought of my daughter because she loves to cook! Me... not so much, lol! This card features our Cooking Brads, Baking Brads and Mixer & Cup Brads and was so much fun putting together!
I cut the card base from bright yellow cardstock, and all the remaining pieces from red, light yellow black, gray and white cardstock. I always say that the greatest satisfaction I get is putting these box cards together and watching them come to life!

I drew markings on the clock with a black pen. I adhered a mixing spoon brad and measuring cup brad to a piece of acetate so they would stand up on the cook top. I added two cookie sheet brads to the oven along with two oven mitts to the stove front.

I stamped a large all-occasion sentiment in red ink on the back layered circle.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Patriotic Banner

I started making seasonal felt banners for my home last fall.  I've done an autumn theme, Halloween theme, Spring and Easter themed banner, and I knew I wanted a patriotic theme for the summer months.

I cut all the felt with my Cricut Maker and rotary blade and used images from the Cricut image library.  In addition to felt, I embellished my banner with glitter iron-on, foil iron-on and regular iron-on.

And of course, I turned to Eyelet Outlet for some additional fantastic patriotic embellishments!  In the centers of some of the flowers I used red and blue round jeweled brads, and the red, silver, blue, and gold star sequins added all kinds of zing to my fireworks!  I also added a few star brads.

I also used star brads and in the center a patriotic hat fom the Flag and Hat set.

This banner is perfect for Memorial Day, Flag Day on June 14th, and Fourth of July and even Labor Day!

Happy You're My Friend

Hello everyone! It's Janet here sharing a fun and quick way to use your favorite washi tapes. I know we hear sometimes that people love to buy washi but they don't know what to do with it once it arrives. While we love collecting pretty things, I hope this will give you an idea to use washi tape in a card to create colorful words.

Steps To Create This Card:

  1. Cut a 5 x 5 1/4 piece of kraft cardstock.
  2. Use dies or your cutting machine to cut four simple words such as Happy that I used here.
  3. Cut a slightly smaller piece of white cardstock and apply two strips of washi tape behind each word
  4. Glue the white cardstock behind the words. If you want, you can also glue in the centers of the letters such as the P and A. That's totally optional.
  5. Choose a sentiment to use. I made mine using the Spellbinders Glimmer machine and silver foil. You can use anything you want. You do you!
  6. Choose some brads to embellish the sentiment. I used Stitched Flowers Brads Bright and a Butterfly Bright brad.
  7. Cut a piece of gold metallic cardstock at 5 1/4 x 5 1/2. Glue the front panel on top.
  8. Wrap twine around the panel three times and tie a bow in the middle.
  9. Cut a base card out of white that is 11" x 5 1/4" Fold in half.
  10. Use adhesive to glue the finished card front to the base card.
I love the washi tape I used on this card. See below for a linked list of products I used.

CAS Fun and Quirky Birthday Card!

Hey everybody! Don't you just love fun quirky birthday cards that are easy?! Leslie here sharing a fun birthday card featuring our Party Hat Brads, Orange Dot Washi Tape and Orange Pearl Bling! These party hats are such a hoot and so much fun to play with!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from heavyweight white cardstock along with a layering panel from a lighter weight white cardstock. I applied a single strip of Orange Dot Washi Tape and then adhered a narrow strip of bright yellow cardstock just above it. I added four Party Hat Brads in a row and adhered the panel to the card base. I stamped a birthday sentiment in black ink on a scrap of white cardstock, cut it with a sentiment strip die, and layered it once more on another piece of the scrap cardstock before adhering it to the card front on an adhesive foam strip. The finishing touch was adding Orange Pearl Bling.

I cut the inside panel from white cardstock and embellished it with a strip of Orange Dot Washi Tape and a narrow strip of the bright yellow cardstock. I stamped a fun sentiment in orange ink and adhered the panel directly to the card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Iguana Wish You The Beat

I was browsing through my Eyelet Outlet brad collection this past week and gave myself a challenge to create a card using one of the brad sets I had not used in a while.

The colorful reptile brads were my focus and here's what I came up with!  I also added a few mini leaf brads and a sunshine brad, because what lizard doesn't like to lounge in the sun! The frame is from Cricut's Ole image set.  I cut the orange layer in iron on vinyl, which I find works amazingly on cardstock.

Thanks for stopping in today.  We'd love to see how you've used Eyelet Outlet products.  Come on over to the Eyelet Outlet Fans Facebook group and share with us!

Happy Washi Tape Birthday Treat

Hi friends! It's Janet here with a happy card you can make in a jiffy! You just need a border punch, a bunch of your favorite washi tapes, pearl bling and a brad or two. I made my letters by layering 4 separate letter cuts. You could also do this with chipboard letters or with stickers. Either method works well.

There are 8 washi tapes in this card so if you like these, follow the links in the shopping list to pick them up. Note: I substituted a few that are out of stock with some other options.

Set of 3 Flower Shaker Thank You Cards

Hey everybody! Are you like me and find that you always need thank you cards in your stash?! Here's a fun design that's super simple and easy to mass-produce, and features our new Flower Shakers along with Skinny Silver Dots Washi Tape and Purple Enamel Dots, Pink Enamel Dots and White Enamel Dots. I matched the ink and enamel dots with the colors in the shaker bits inside each flower.

I cut three standard A2 size top-folding card bases from heavyweight white cardstock. I put the grid block stamp in my stamp positioner and stamped it in purple, pink and yellow inks on each card base. I added a strip of Skinny Silver Dots Washi Tape to each and stamped a sentiment in black ink in the lower right corner on each using the stamp positioner. I adhered a Flower Shaker to each card front, and the final touch was adding three Purple Enamel Dots, Pink Enamel Dots and White Enamel Dots to the card with the corresponding ink color.

I applied a strip of Skinny Silver Dots Washi Tape to the inside of each card base and then stamped a thank-you sentiment on each using the stamp positioner.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Magical Rainbow

Happy May Day everyone! It's Janet here with a magical card featuring unicorns, rainbows, fairies, and pastel ponies. It's a little girl's dream!

This card was created with a sunburst die. I cut it twice. Once with the holographic cardstock and once with the light lavender cardstock. Then I cut a separate center piece out of a coordinating patterned cardstock. I glued the lavender frame on an A2 sized card base and inlaid the holographic pieces inside the negative spaces.

I inserted the pony and rainbow brads into the center piece and applied it to the the card with double-sided foam tape. I added a sentiment strip above and a unicorn and fairy brad. Three blue pearl bling finish the card off nicely.
